King of the coven.

Dante's point of view

I cast a quick glance at the woman lying on the bed, examining and exploring every corner of her being. After inducing her to sleep, she has been in a state of slumber for several hours.

There was something about this woman, her intriguing essence eluded my grasp, undoubtedly setting her apart from others.

I laid eyes on her for the first time at the club one month ago. She had entered the VIP lounge with drinks in hand. As soon as she entered the lounge, her scent was perceptible to us; we could detect it instantaneously. The scent had a unique and recognizable aroma. I'vnt perceived such since forever.

The atmosphere became highly charged, and I could discern a strong desire from my boys, clearly evident in their eyes, for an opportunity to taste her blood. The innocent lady appeared to be apprehensive and quivering; I could discern her anxieties without laying eyes on her as I detected them through my olfactory sense.

Her curious gaze was fixed on me, carefully examining every aspect of my being. I was surprised when I finally looked at her. I was amazed and in awe of her stunning appearance.

With a stunning figure, long brown locks, and a lofty height, she cut an impressive stature. Her gaze was captivating, enchanting, and utterly seductive. She was unaware of the extent of her own strength. She had such pure innocence that it had the ability to humble a man to his knees.

I was fascinated by her divine nature, and she definitely sparked my interest. I found myself unable to look away from her, causing her to tremble and stumble when faced with my intense scrutiny. Her heart was racing uncontrollably, unable to handle the pressure of my unwavering gaze.

She dashed out of the lounge at full speed. She appeared highly flustered, with her face resembling a ripe tomato. With a sense of understanding, I grinned as I realized my mere existence had a profound effect on her, causing her to feel disturbed and uneasy. She she was definitely accurate, for I am indeed dangerous and bad, given that I am also known as The Destroyer.

I had the urge to pursue her and inquire about her impact on me. She captured the attention that I rarely exhibit, and her irresistible scent added to the intrigue. Despite these thoughts, I opted to delay the confrontation. The appropriate moment will arise, and it happened to be last night.

The place where I was resting was referred to as "The Upper Room" by me, but my club employees called it "The Off Boundary Room." This space was primarily utilized for dining and social gatherings, occasionally hosting festivities amongst my coven.

Typically, in our coven, we do not end the lives of humans; we consume their blood for sustenance. Instead, we compel and release them once our needs have been met. Any vampire under my rule who had unlawfully taken a human's life would certainly incur my wrath.

As previously mentioned, I was relaxing in the inner portion of the upper room when an uproar caught my attention. I had a hunch that the boys were engaged in a dispute, and judging by the distinct aroma that greeted me, I knew she was here, close by. The fact that I only heard that scent from her implies that she had to be present.

I hastily rose and headed in that direction.

In a composed manner, I inquired, "What is happening here?"

As I walked towards them, they halted and respectfully greeted me with a gesture of bowing.

Standing before me was the lady in question.

The tantalizing scent of her compelled me to crave a taste of her, to caress her with a kiss, and ultimately claim her for myself.

With a skeptical air, she gave me a quick once-over, her eyes probing and curious, as if attempting to determine my identity.

Surprised and astonished, she let out a gasping sound, and her expression clearly indicated that she had just understood something important. As she looked down and then glanced back at me, I could sense desire in her eyes.

"What brought her to this place?" My gaze remained fixated on her as I inquired.

At that moment, I realized that she was acquainted with Derek. My emotions were in turmoil, as I had initially wanted to take her with me, but upon discovering that she was his friend, specifically Crystal, I could not bring myself to do so.

Three years ago, I became acquainted with Derek during a raid that took place at a club owned by Alistair, a despicable vampire. Derek was attacked by the vampires in that place and abandoned to perish.

They had taken all of his blood by feeding and draining. I presented him with a decision: he could opt between mortality and immortality as a vampire. He opted for the latter alternative; therefore, I provided him with my own blood and transformed him into our kind.

In accordance with our regulations, he was required to sever connections with all individuals he knew to protect their well-being. He had mentioned to me that Crystal, his childhood friend, was the only person he had in his life. Although it was difficult, he ultimately had to release his grip for her well-being.

What options did I have to make her part of our world? Although it was prohibited to introduce a human into our Coven, as the King, I had the power to make that decision. I am infallible and beyond any doubt or challenge. I simply couldn't do it, primarily because of my affection for Derek and concern for his well-being.

"You are aware of the necessary actions to take." I conveyed the message to Derek with firm determination and prepared to release her until... "What seems to be the issue?" I asked with some confusion why the compulsion was not having an effect.

Josh attempted but was unsuccessful, and then Derek was requesting a chance to try. I observed nervously as he attempted to compel her with physical contact, yet she remained unyielding.

Internally, I wondered to myself, "Who is this young lady?" What is her point? I wasn't comfortable with the sense of ignorance.

Although I prided myself on being organized and confident in most situations, this particular issue was beyond my expertise. Clearly, something was amiss, and I was determined to get to the root of the problem.

There was no way I could simply let her slip away. Realizing that she was aware of our confidential information, I made the judicious choice to involve her.

She startled me when she inquired about my intentions toward her.

"If you act appropriately, I will grant you servitude under me as my slave." I had made that statement with the intention of frightening her.

I preferred to keep my genuine motives concealed from her.

I instructed my boys to bring her into my presence. Despite being visibly shaken and scared, she knew the task at hand was necessary and had to be carried out.

It was imperative for me to confirm that she wasn't a spy dispatched by that despicable bastard, Alistair. Although it was a challenging situation, her tears added to the difficulty. Derek attempted to soothe her, though his efforts proved futile.

"At least reveal to me the identity of your group." In a gentle manner, she spoke with a curious gaze fixed on me.

"We're vampires." I declared it in a blunt and straightforward manner.

I recognized that she had prior knowledge of the situation, which was quite apparent; however, she chose to ignore it. My involvement simply facilitated the process of acceptance.

After much effort, they were able to present her before me, but she fiercely resisted and tried to break free from their grasp.

I firmly grasped her face and gazed deeply into her captivating eyes while calmly directing her to slumber, subsequently witnessing her drift away.

I felt pleased that she had succumbed to the effects of my slumber-inducing charm. This ability was possessed by only a select few of the most powerful vampires.

I quickly looked at my watch. It had already reached noon, and she had been out for more than 12 hours. The poor thing must have been extremely tired and confused.

As I left the chamber, I gave her the opportunity to sleep longer and proceeded directly to my study.

Sitting down by my desk, I calmed myself and took a look at the documents laid out in front of me.

After some minutes, I heard the sound of someone knocking on the door and invited them to enter by announcing, "Come in!"

As Razor ambled into the room, he respectfully lowered his head while I offered a wave of recognition with a hand gesture.

"Boss, we conducted a search at the underground club in the city center, but we have yet to locate any signs of him." Anxious and expectant of my fury, he uttered the words in a trembling voice.
