Chapter 13: Let's Make A Bet

It turned out that since the extreme pain he felt the other day, in addition to traditional medicine knowledge, he had gained knowledge about geomancy.

If his head was a computer, then the computer had been stored a huge amount of knowledge. Now he only needed to get it working through memorizing.

The night soon passed.

At noon the next day, Leo sent Sophia to the company and then drove to the hospital.

After the third injection for Harry's father, the old man was finally able to get out of the bed.

Witnessing the miracle happened to their father, Harry and Venus marveled at Leo's magical medical skills.

Leo didn't do it for money, but Venus gave him a $30 million check in cash.

Although the Henley family was very rich, It was really the first time he had seen so much money.

It was Leo's first pay and his first step to get rid of the Henley family.

Leo planned to discuss divorce with Sophia and start a new life some time.

After coming out of the hospital, Leo wanted to go to the outskirts of the city to find a place with more spiritual energy to cultivate when his phone rang.

It was a strange phone number.

Leo answered it.

"Hello, is this Mr. Bloomer?" the caller had a beautiful voice.

"Yes, what's up?"

"This is Hilda Bertram. I'm the manager of Wilde Jewelry Group's HR department. I would like to invite you to have an interview in our company. Do you have any time today?"

The department manager of Wilde Jewelry Group called him personally, which surprised Leo. It seemed that the old man he met on the Antique Street should hold a high position in Wilde Jewelry Group.

Leo pondered and decided, "I have time. When and where is the interview?"

"At 1:30 PM. Just come to the fifth floor of Wilde Jewelry Group."

"Well, thank you."

Hanging up the phone, Leo gave up going to find a place to cultivate. Since he had decided to leave the Henley family, he needed a job to survive.

After lunch, Leo walked into Wilde Jewelry Group ten minutes early before schedule.

After registering, Leo went to the fifth floor, asked where the HR department was, and then walked over.

Coming to the manager's office, Leo knocked at the door.

"Come in," there was a female voice from inside.

Leo pushed the door open and went in, and he saw a middle-aged woman in a business suit sitting behind the wide desk.

"Hello, I'm Leo."

Hilda looked at Leo, stood up from the office chair, and said, "Come with me."

Leo followed Hilda up to the sixth floor and then walk to the door of an office.

Leo noticed a sign on the right side of the office door with the Wilde Jewelry Company logo, indicating that it was the CEO's office.

Hilda reached out and knocked on the glass door, then they heard, "Please come in."

Hilda went in and said to the woman inside, "Miss Wilde, Leo Bloomer is here."

"Let him in." the woman nodded.

Hilda walked out of the door and said, "Mr. Bloomer, you may go in. Miss Wilde will interview you herself."

Leo nodded, and went in.

Hilda then walked away.

She guessed that someone whom the CEOwanted to personally interview must be a family or friend.

Walking in, the first thing Leo saw was a luxurious and huge desk.

Behind the desk sat a woman in a light purple casual outfit, around the same age as Sophia and as beautiful as her, but with an even more captivating presence.

When Leo looked at Coral Wilde, Coral was also looking at him.

Today, Leo wore a denim jacket and a shirt, so honestly, his first impression on Coral not very good.

Coral smiled, and pointed to the chair in front of her. "Mr. Bloomer, please sit down."

Leo sat down in the chair. This was the first interview he had had, and he was unconsciously a little nervous at the moment, especially the interviewer was a beauty.

"Mr. Bloomer, I heard that you are good at stone gambling." Coral came straight to the point.

"I know something about it," Leo knew he shouldn't oversell himself.

"You should know why we asked you to come to Wilde Jewelry Group today. I am straightforward, so I will get to the point. We need a chief appraiser in the jewelry business. Do you think you are competent for the position?" Coral stared at Leo.

Normal people would feel a strong sense of pressure under her gaze.

To Coral's surprise, she didn't see any panic in Leo's eyes.

Leo replied, "The position demands professional knowledge. I'm afraid I can't do it, but if it's gambling stones, I have no problem."

"Oh, what's average your winning chance then?"

"Over sixty percent!" Leo didn't say 100 percent.

But Coral suddenly laughed, as if she had heard a very funny joke.

It had to be said that she looked stunning when she laughed, and Leo couldn't help but steal a few more glances at her.

"Mr. Bloomer, you didn't come for an interview today, but to tell me jokes."

"What do you mean?" Leo frowned.

"Do you know the winning chance of our current chief appraiser?" Coral suddenly became serious.

"Nope."

"About 35 percent! And he's already at the expert level, one of the best in Ubrilens."

With that, Coral waved her hand. "You can leave now. Wilde Jewelry Group doesn't need a bragger."

Coral remembered what her grandfather said to her. If she didn't think he was good, she could just give him a random job, but she really didn't want to do so.

She would tell him what happened and he would definitely understand.

Leo smiled, and then he stood up from his chair. Instead of walking away, he put his hands on his desk, his eyes staring at Coral.

"What are you going to do?" Coral leaned back, thinking that Leo was going to hurt her.

"Miss Wilde, let's make a bet."

"I'm not in the mood to make a bet with you. Please go out!" Coral ordered.

"Thirty million!" Leo put out three fingers, "You can ask your staff to find some raw stones and I can prove my words true. If I can't, I’ll give thirty million to you, if I can, you will apologize to me."

This statement caught Coral's attention. Judging from Leo's mannerisms, speech, and appearance, he didn't seem like a rich man. Where did he get the gall to make an unequal bet with her?

And she only needed to give an apology while he had to lose thirty million to her. She didn't have to lose anything.

She had never heard of any rich guy named Leo before.

Things were getting interesting.
