My chest was moving up and down a lot slower now, his hand loosened around my hip allowing me to move the wall a little. My hand lowered from his neck and slowly trailed down his sweaty chest subconsciously, his eyes fell to my hand touching his skin.
« I suggest not going lower if you don’t want me to throw you on this gym floor and make you scream my name. » He said.
My hand froze, and I found myself debating on what to do. « In a good way or in a bad way ? » I asked, quietly.
A grin appeared on his lips, his hand grabbed ahold of my jaw very tightly. « I promise you, in a good way. »
Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god
« Send me the video of that, please. » A voice said next to us, my head whipped to the side instantly.
A man with hundreds and hundreds of tattoos with multiple piercings on his face and dressed in a dark green suit. He looked like every bit of a nightmare, even his voice sounded haunted.
Alistair smirked without having to lift his head to look, my eyes were flickering between them both clearly not understanding their dynamic. I gently pushed him away while fixing my robe covering more of my body, my arms crossed over my chest practically trying to hide from both their eyes.
« I don’t think she’d like her first time to be filmed. » He said, his head tilted while his finger turned my head. « Maybe after I break her in a little. »
Just like that, the connection or whatever it was between us a few seconds ago was now gone and replaced with disgust. I shoved his hand away with an uncomfortable frown against my lips, and the other man laughed.
« Hot body and attitude, maybe you’ll be able to fuck it out of her boss. » The man in tattoos said while laughing even harder.
I glanced at Alistair hoping he’d maybe stand up for me but he didn’t. He didn’t say anything, he didn’t have to because he started chuckling like it was funny.
Without noticing, his actions stung just a little.
« The name is Knox, sweetheart. » The man was now standing in front of me, his disgusting eyes roamed my body making me even more uncomfortable.
« I could care less, sweetheart. » I said as my hand roughly slapped away his, which was already hard to do because it meant I had to touch him.
I rushed out of the room, flustered and beyond upset at my foolishness. I was feeling way too much, way too quickly. God, if I could punch myself in the face without it hurting, I would. He probably thinks I’m so easy and so does that creepy employee of his, I’m betting he heard every word that was said in that room.
The worst part of this all is that I wanted him to take me on that floor, I wanted to scream his name in a good way.
I felt a pair of eyes staring at me, that feeling filled my body and my eyes fluttered open. The room was dark and I could barely see anything, my window was wide open allowing the harsh breeze to brush against my cheek along with the moonlight shining inside just a little.
That’s when I saw him, he was sitting in a chair across from my bed with his elbows propped against his knees. He had a pair of shorts on with his bare chest on display, his silver cross necklace dangling around his neck. I brought my blanket up under my neck, trying my best to stay as decent as possible.
« What are you doing here in the middle of the night ? » I asked, my voice was croaky and sounded sleepy. « In my room. »
« I don’t know. » He mumbled under his breath, his eyes stalking mine. « Maybe I’m debating. »
« Debating on what to do with you. »
I gulped quietly, great he’s trying to find out the best way to kill me in my sleep.
« Angel, it’s not what your thinking. » He said. « I don’t want to kill you. »
Okay so, he planted a chip in my head to find out what I’m thinking.
« How do you know what I’m thinking ? » I asked, my nails digging inside the thin blanket.
« Your body language. » He pointed at me and my eyes fell to my tense shoulder, I immediately relaxed them. « It’s easy to read. » He finished.
He eased back in the chair, his chin held a little higher while watching me. It was silent but not an awkward one that typically makes you feel uncomfortable, it was a comforting one which was strange as is. My hand subconsciously lowered my blanket, there wasn’t much to show since the nightgown covered most of my skin.
« Pink must be your favorite color. » He mentioned, casually.
« I think you might be right, I tend to gravitate towards it. »
« What’s yours ? » I asked, it’s late at night but here we are talking about colors.
« Black. » He said.
I wanted to roll my eyes, out of all the colors he picked black as his favorite.
« That was such a, » I replied with a chirp. « I’m a dude and I only like the color black because it’s the same color as my soul response. »
He chuckled, and his mouth formed the smallest smile but it allowed me to see his pearl-white teeth. Who knew someone’s smile could be so beautiful, it made me want to see more of his smile.
« It just is. » He said but I don’t believe him not even in the slightest.
Maybe I had a smile fetish in the past, is that even a thing ?
It got quiet again, my eyes kept fluttering between his and my bed. This was a weird way to switch up but I needed someone to listen to me, and maybe respond. It’s been troubling me ever since I woke up on this bed, it’s driving me crazy.
« Do you ever miss someone or something you don’t even remember having ? Because I feel like I’m going insane. » I blurted out, you could hear the desperation in my voice and I secretly hated it.
His lips were tucked together, something was twirling inside his eyes. He was looking at me with a sense of confusion, and also a sense of understanding.
« All the time. » His fingers carefully rubbed his chin, he conflicted with me I could see it in his eyes.
« Like their voice, even their touch and especially their-«
« Love ? » He interrupted.
My eyes couldn’t help but light up, it felt good to not feel so alone. « Exactly. » I whispered.
His hand fell to his thigh, and he leaned up a little. « You don’t remember having them, or even knowing who they were when they were alive. »
Alive ?
« Just that they were a part of your life. » He mumbled under his breath, I barely heard him.
« And left a feeling of emptiness behind. » I said, our eyes locked again.
He licked his lips, casually. « Exactly. »
I wanted to question him but you know a broken heart when you see one, he lost someone he’s never met and that’s the worst type of pain. My finger tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear, I cleared my throat quietly hoping to sound less weak.
