Alex left without looking back.

I made my way upto the bar and gave a backward glance to alex. He had his phone against his ear but his eyes were locked onto mine when i turned around.

"told you, sexual tension," Sam says walking over to me. Sam was smiling at me, he just wanted to make me uncomfortable. His tone was teasing and I wanted nothing more than to hit him with in the chest.

" he said he wanted to protect me" I sigh out as I lean against the bar. Sam's eyes widen, probably not expecting that.

"the guy is not fucking around" he whistles taking a swing of his beer.

But what is that supposed to mean like why does he need to be protective of me now.

I don't really know what to do anymore but most likely im probably going to just ignore the situation I mean that's a skill I have. Not saying it's the best way to figure things out but when did I think logically.

I took a few shots at the bar before taking mine and alex's drinks back to the booth. By the time I had gotten back alex had already finished with his phone but it was still on the table lighting up with notifcations.

I nearly stumbled when I saw the multiple girls names show up on his phone.

Someone's keeping busy.

By the look on Alex's face I could just tell he was tired. I'm not sure he even wanted to be here tonight.

"You can just go home you know I'm sure your mates are fucked enough to not realise" which is true. They seemed to be having plenty of fine without their star of the game with them.

" just want me all to yourself don't you"

He glances over to the guys obviously he sees that they're having loads of fun. One of them was drinking or rather downing a pint of some word coloured liquid.

He shakes his head at them before directing his eyes back to mine.

" you're right, I have morning lectures so I guess having a night in wouldn't hurt" he says finishing off his drink.

I'm surprised he's actually taken my advise and now going to leave.

He grabs his coat quickly Slipping his arms through the thick sleeves before standing up.

I stand up aswell. I'd rather not be a loner if I'm being honest.

I slide out of the booth and grab my drink motioning to the group of people I came in here with.

Remi is sitting in between sam and joe laughing at something. Her head tilted back.

I was too busy caught in the moment that I didn't notice the rapid speed of a guy running past us. He basically knocked me over when his backpack hit me in my side.

Alex quickly grabbed me pulling me into his body. As my body made contact he groaned out.

"Be careful" his deep voice cooed in my ear. It was so low I'm surprised I heard him.

" sorry about that" I said pulling away from him. I'm guessing I remember badly hurt him more.

"I'm just glad you're not on the floor " he replies back watching me step back away from him. Making sure I'm not in the way of anyone.

"That would be interesting" I comment back laughing lightly of the image of me on the floor.

"Not for me " he mumbles to which. I just pretend I didn't hear that.

Alex goes up to joe obviously telling him he's slipping out. Joe nods his head his arm still around remi's shoulder.

I had turned around and started to make conversation with a girl who was looking a little lonely.

"Excuse me " Alex deep rough voice says breaking me from my conversation. The girl smiles fondly at me before disappearing.

" I thought you left already" I tell him giving him a. Curious look.

"I was" he thinks for a minute. "But I was under the impression you were joining me" now that surprised me.

"You were?" I question him I really wasn't planning on leaving but I doubt it'll take much convincing.

I barely had time to react cause he was already leading me out of the bar, his hand wrapped around my wrist.

I caught a glimpse of joe slamming a fiver on the table as remi was cheering.

If I find out she bet on this I'm going to kill her.

Alex lead us out into the car park. A bunch of students cars were parked led out here most of them still had their learning plates on.

We stopped at a black sleek car. I caught sight of the Mercedes sign and smiled. I've always loved their cars.

I wasn't surprised that Alex had this car.

"Where are we going?" I ask him as I slide into the passenger seat. Alex turns the engine on and powers up the heaters. Thank god it's freezing in here.

" there's a place in town that is showing the game for tonight" he simply says. I know what he's talking about the big rugby game is on tonight.

" you thought I'd rather watch a. Game then drink with my friends?" I question him crossing my arms over my chest.

He turns to me. Instead of a sorrow look he was giving me smirk.

" so you weren't constantly refreshing sky sports on your phone then?" He leaves me sitting there unable to form a sentence.

Didn't know he was paying that much attention. And plus I only did it like 4 times.

" exactly Freya" he says before putting the car into reverse and moving back. He turned his body round to look at the back. His chest facing me.

I made sure to busy myself with my phone as he did that.

" how long do we have until second half starts" he asks me as we finally get onto the road.

I glance at my phone " about 12 minutes there's been a delay cause someone is injured" I say scrolling through the page.

Apparently someone took a hard hit. Sounds familiar I thought to myself.

I notice he presses onto the accelerator as I said this. I laughed at the action, alex only smiled cheekily at me. Someone's desperate to get there.

We pulled into the car park and wasted no time in walking inside. Not only because it's cold but we wanted to be there on time.

We found a few people in here but overall it was quite empty. We took a seat on the comfy sofas in the corner infront of a large screen.

"Bottoms up" a guy says walking over with a few drinks.

"Were going to need it by the looks of it" I mumble watching the screen. We were losing quite significantly.

The guys seems surprised at my response. "You're into sports?" He asks. Alex just shakes his head.

" ofcourse" I smile at him with a patronising look. He chuckles awkwardly before turning around.

"Dumbass" I mumbled before settling back I tot he sofa.

Alex had removed his jacket since it was warm In Here. Thank god they pumped up the heat in here.

" why do guys think girls only like makeup shopping and selfies ?" I say boicimrg my irritation. You have no idea how many times people get surprised at the fact I like sports.

Not just watching but playing.

"Did you think that?" I turn to him raising my eyebrow. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Alex finishes his drink before looking at me.

" no, only because the first time I saw you was when you were at practise" he states simply.

"Oh" I mumble, not the answer I expected.

"Plus your legs are really toned, were youa. Runner before?" He asks me quickly glancing at my legs.

" yes I used to compete when I was younger" I answer him. I'm honestly surprised that he figured that out.

" don't take it to heart Freya, you would never know if someone played sport if you'd only just seen them out int won would you?" He asks me.

Wait is that a rhetorical question.

I get his point though.

" i didn't think your friend sam was into sport until I saw him at your practise" good point.

" I agree, quite the curious guy ain't you" seems like he's always looking at other teams and they're players.

We both relax Back into the sofa and watch the game begin again.

I didn't realise it but as the guy broke through and started literally pumping his legs down the pitch I had grabbed onto Alex's arm, my eyes fixed on the screen.

"Yes!!!" We both exclaimed when he reached the end just about dodged this big guy on the opposite team.

" fucking hell that was good" alex mumbles. I quickly took my fingers off his arm. That was just weird of me to do but Alex didn't mention it at all.

"How did he even get through " I ask him amazed at the power of that guy.

"No idea " he shrugs his shoulders obviously I'm not the only one amazed.

We watched most of the game like this. Both of us groaning when the team made stupid mistakes.

By the end of the game I was tired. All this excitement was just too much for me but I can't deny it I enjoyed it.

Alex kindly drove me back. We only had two ciders each so he was more than capable of driving.

" I live down that street" Alex tells me as we near my flat.

How did I not ever see him when we live a street across from each other.

" small world" I mumble as I remove my seatbelt after arriving at my place.

He turns off the Ignition. " we do go to the same uni Freya" he replies with a sarcastic response.

I roll my eyes at him playfully. " way to state the obvious alex" he only laughs at me though and I can't help the smile that reaches my lips.

" thanks for tonight Freya, I enjoyed it more than I expected " he sends me a wink. I looked away quickly.

" same, I mean me too " I stumble on my words awkwardly. Fuck sake Freya get it together.

" are you blushing ?" He says to me only making it worse.

"No" I say rather too quickly. Fuck sake.

" it's okay Freya, I love how much I affect you" he only winks again. He's fucking playing with me now.

"Good night Alex" I finally muster up the courage to say. I open the door and step out.

I barely made it out the car when Alex followed suit and ran over to my side.

He pushed my hips back into his car before caging me with his arms.

"No kiss goodbye" he says innocently.

I don't even feel bad for hitting him now. I smack his chest leaning back not able to get out.

" you're messing with the wrong girl " I say staring his deep in his eyes. Those blue eyes that could be the death of me.

He smirks. "Oh really " he leans in further pressing his chest against mine. This is a. Very compromising position great for lee who I know is inside.

"Yes" I say slowly. His gaze drops to my lips before he smiles down.

"Game on Freya , game on" and with that said he pushed off the car and left me there. He walked over to his side and slid in.

"Goodnight Freya" he says before driving away towards his place.

Did I just make the biggest mistake ever.
