[14] Venomous Creature!
The driver fixed his questioning gaze on Lolita as though asking who she was and what she wanted.
All the while, the black mamba kept tightening the coil around his neck.
However, when the man was about to pass out, the tight coil was relaxed once again. Lolita kept repeating this fit for about five minutes until the man was on the verge of collapsing.
It's funny how the wheels have turned in Lolita's favor and the driver now wants to know who she is.
When he was sent to teach her a good lesson, however, he didn't ask any questions but now wants to know the reason for Lolita's current actions.
Lolita concluded that she had had enough fun for the day and needed to return home. She was a student after all.
"I have to leave you here since you have nothing to say to me!"
When she turned around to leave, however, the driver who was scared out of his wits spoke without thinking "We were only under the instruction to teach you a lesson...Nothing else...I swear it!"
He thought the response would garner some sympathy from her and get her asking what lesson it was and who specifically it was.
Knowing the real culprit was a strong bargaining chip he had in hand and could have used to his advantage but he lost the chance with his earlier comment.
Lolita could have spared him if she knew they were truly under the instructions of someone else other than Alpha Gavin.
However, one wrong utterance sealed his fate as Lolita was sure she already knew who sent the group after her.
With her mood better than before, she chose to go back home and continue the search for this cursed Alpha Gavin as she prepares for school at the same time.
If Lolita had given the man a little push, she would have gotten what she wanted. However, how could she pursue something when she is not even privy to its existence?
"Mamba, now!" The driver was about to come clean upon seeing the expression on Lolita's face. Alas, he was a step too late.
Lolita didn't bother checking the bodies for anything. After all, she already knows what they are after, and that is her life.
After taking the lives of twelve people for the first time in her life, Lolita felt absolutely nothing. No pain, no repulsion, and definitely no remorse. If anything, she rather prefers there were more of them. The sight of blood rather calms her and Lolita needed to calm her head.
Many thoughts were running through her mind right now that she had not answered. For now, she is tired and needs to rest.
She has a group of pursuers to thank for helping her discover her hidden abilities or whatever they may be.
Walking in slow strides towards her motorbike, Lolita spotted the black mamba following her and just couldn't believe her eyes. She thought the snake would agree to the farewell she just bade it a few moments ago.
She really had a headache coming because the reason for the black mamba becoming so clingy all of a sudden could not be explained.
Lolita did everything possible to walk away from the black mamba, all to no avail. She even tried bargaining with it to visit whenever she's available.
However, the black mamba isn't having any of that. It has been in existence for quite some time and is perfectly aware that allowing this human to go would mean that it would need to bid goodbye to this beautiful source of energy that could relax its nerves at all times.
The black mamba unceremoniously coiled around Lolita's right arm and refused to let go. When she tried shaking it off, she realized how depressed the snake became all of a sudden.
"Aaaaaahhh! What would I do with you, Mamba? " Lolita was lost for words but could only allow the snake to follow her back home.
Snakes are creatures that are supposed to live in the wild. However, on her adventure to teach a few pursuers a lesson, Lolita ends up with the second most venomous snake as a pet.
Now it would not stay in the wild but with Lolita, at home, or wherever she may be.
This new pet could possibly bite itself to death if only Lolita commands it to. Lolita then removed her jacket to cover the snake on her right arm and zoomed off.
There was no single trace of her ever being at the intersection between Smallville and Greenville. As a matter of fact, the other members of the rogue pack would rule it as an attack on them by the stronger packs.
However, their strange stab wounds and other features would make them panic. It seems to be a very strong pack that could end the lives of all its members without breaking a sweat.
The rogues would later feel that they have exposed themselves finally and hence the need to be extra careful with their safety.

Upon reaching home, Lolita placed the black mamba on her bed and then proceeded to burn the clothes she wore to the woods.
She could never get the smell of blood away from the clothes. Even though there was not even a single drop on her.
Even though the smell is now unexplainable appealing to her, she has the habit of burning everything which comes into contact with blood.
As Lolita bathed herself and lay on her bed to rest, she was startled to realize that her consciousness was eluding her and it was at a very fast pace.
Lolita only woke up the next day to the scream of her head housekeeper who nearly passed out in front of the door.
The poor woman hadn't seen Lolita coming down for lunch or supper on the previous day after her return from school.
Noting that everything remained intact just as she left it in the kitchen, she decided to check on the little girl and give her a piece of her mind. She wouldn't do herself any good to be skipping meals so much.
It was almost past breakfast and Lolita was still nowhere to be found. Granny Clint would have hired her in vain if she allowed this to continue.
Granny Clint was dead and gone. As much as she mourns her loss, she also knows that the living need to keep living as well. Living is what makes the difference anyway and how will Lolita live well if she doesn't eat her meals in due time?
The last thing Ruby expected to see was a 2.5m long snake coiled beside Lolita on her bed. The woman felt extreme fear consume her entire being.
The first thought that crossed her mind was that maybe Lolita was bitten to death by the venomous snake.
No wonder she didn't come down for lunch and dinner the previous day or even breakfast this morning.
Ruby was terrified at how far her thoughts were roaming. Although she shouted on impulse, she wanted the other servants to come around and help with tackling the venomous creature.
