Edward pov :

I Woke up the next morning feeling so fresh and New again after staying away from my castle for a whole month .

I Freshened up and was about to take a glass of wine when Samuel walked in .

" Good morning my king "

I turned to look at him .

" Samuel it since that you have been too familiar with My chamber that you forgot to knock before coming in "

" Am sorry your majesty but I think it's important you appear at the court room

"You know I don't respond well with commands "

" Sorry my Lord it's not a command it's just that the council request your presence in the court room "

" Why do they want to see me? Are they plotting to dethrone me again "

" I Don't know much about that your majesty "

" Tell them I will be with them shortly "

" As you wish My Lord "

He walked out of my chamber, I stood there staring at his disappearing figure ,I quickly grabbed my coat and walked out of My chamber I decided to take the hallway today ,just then I noticed a slim figure staring at one of my favorite vase ,At first she was shocked by my presence by I noticed from our little conversation she didn't address me as My king , Your majesty or whatever .

I was a bit surprised but decided to play along .

" Stop staring at me "

" Oh No Am sorry for staring at you please excuse me I would like to take My leave "

" She turned to leave but I held her hand "

" Where are you running off too "

" Am sorry Mr but I have to attend to My chores "

" Interesting ,You work here "

" No actually my mother do work here Am just here with my sister to help her out "

" Good so for how long would you be staying here "

" Actually we are here to serve at the king's wedding announcement "

" Really ,so tell me have you seen the king before "

" Nope I haven't and Am not interested in seeing him "

" Oops that hurts ,She's really not interested in seeing me ,how possible is that, ladies will kill themself just spend a night with me so what is she talking about ,I kept wondering Myself .

" So tell me why don't you want to see him "

" Nothing much it's just that am not a fan of the king and I will never be "

" Don't you think that's harsh "

" I Don't think so ,can I let you in on a little secret "

" Okay I really don't know you so I don't think it will be okay for us to be friends And besides I think I have been talking way too much for my liking , Please can I go now I really don't want Lady Theresa to find me here discussing with a stranger it wouldn't be good "

" It's because you are safe with me "

" Nope I came to see my friend "

" Your friend that's weird ,a commoners walking freely in the castle ,I guess you must be an important people "

I was still talking to her when Samuel walked up to us .

" My Lor....."

I Quickly signalled him to shut his mouth or his head will be separated from his neck if he dares say anything stupid ,he was confused at first so I quickly played along .

"Samuel thank God you are here I almost lost my way "

I walked up to him and tapped his shoulder then whispered into his ear .

" Play along or your are dead "

He Quickly let out a smile ,

" Yes actually I was coming to look for you ,You see the king has a meeting in the court room so we can go check out those thing now that am free "

" Yes sure "

I turned to look at the beautiful , innocent girl standing in front of me one last time before walking out of the hallway with Samuel .

" Your majesty what was that for "

" am under no obligation to answer to you "

" No offense my king but .."

" Don't ever ask me stupid questions again , Secondly you did a great job by helping me out there "

I was about to open the door when I remembered something .

" Samuel "

" Yes your majesty "

" I want to know everything about that girl you saw me talking with is that clear "

" Yes your majesty "

I opened the door and walked into the court room immediately I entered the noise in the court room died down ,

" Long live the king "

" Long live the king !!!"

I walked up to my throne and sat down , waiting for them to state the reason for this urgent meeting.

" Your majesty congratulations on your engagement "

Immediately I heard those words my head almost lite up in flames .

" What the heck "

I turned to the order side of the room and I saw my mother and Benita sitting down together smiling boldly, I murmured within my breathe .

" Bitches "

" Congratulations your majesty once again you have made us proud "

" Thank you ,but I think you all should have waited for me to make the announcement my self "

Immediately I said those words the room became silent just then my mother decided to speak .

" Your majesty if you will permit me to speak "

" I don't think women are allowed to speak in the council of elders so am sorry mother you can't say a word.

I turned the men sitting in the court room .

" If this is the reason for this meeting then I would like to take my leave because I have important matters to attend too '

I stood up and walked out of the court room but in my heart I was so mad that I felt like killing those two bitches Myself , Immediately my mind went back to the lady I met at the hallway so I passed through that same direction thinking I will see her again.
