Chapter Four

Annas POV

I look around the school, hiding behind my locker and notice nothing out of the ordinary, so why would I feel like something is different? I go to close my locker, deciding that my best bet for today is to go to class early and make up for missing my classes two days in a row.

A lot of the kids weren't here yesterday, probably getting ready for Abby's party, so the teachers decided to let us get away with doing no work and just sitting around doing nothing. I quickly close my locker door only to notice Abby standing right next to me.

"sorry" I mumble under my breath before walking around her, I feel a warm hand grab my arm, and I immediately feel warm and safe; little shocks of lightning hit my skin which surprising feels good. I look up at Abby, confused.

"Sorry, it's just I heard you game" she smiles rubbing the back of her neck with her free arm still not letting me go, I know by now the whole school is watching our interaction.

"yeah I do" I state wanting to be out of the situation desperately, I feel so self-conscious right now.

"good, I live with a bunch of boys who are always gaming, and I feel left out, I kind of want to learn how to play 'call of duty' so I can beat them, but I want it to be a surprise so that they are shocked and I was wondering if you would help me please" she flashes me her white teeth. I immediately want to cave, but it would ruin her reputation if I were to help her.

"youtube can teach you" I state, all I want to do is go to class and forget this ever happened.

"please" she flashes me a puppy dog face, and I immediately cave under her glare.

"fine, are you busy after school?" I question wanting to get this over with.

"nope I am free" she smiles happily knowing she won; I just hope this isn't some nasty trick.

"Okay, meet me here after school, and we will go to mine; so I will teach you" I state before tearing her arm off mine and heading to class. I feel everyone's glare on me, some whispering confused about what just happened, others just staring and some calling me names as I walk by, my invisibility has worn off and now I am the centre of attention, and I hate it.

The day goes by in a blur, and all I remember is the people talking behind my back, Abby's friends whispering about me being her mate and the Alpha not going to be happy.

I head to my locker after class to wait for Abby. I doubt she will show up, people will have informed her about me being a lesbian and she will run in the other direction.

"I am ready" I hear a chipper voice beside me making my eyes go wide in shock that she actually showed up.

"ah okay, let's go then" I state wanting to leave school as soon as possible.

"Do you have a car? If so I will follow in mine" she smiles, making me groan.

"not here I don't" I state, faster then I can open my mouth again I am dragged to a 'Jeep' and sat in the passenger seat.

"directions please" she states starting up the car.

Once at my house I get out and notice my mum is home.

"for fuck sake" I mumble before heading inside with Abby on my trail.

"Are you not going to tell your mum you are home" Abby questions when we reach the stairs.

"Mum I am home" I yell before rushing up the stairs and into my bedroom locking the door behind me.

"she doesn't care if I am or not, now let me teach you how to game so you can kick ass and go back to your normal life" I state.

I grab two controllers and dump my bag down before handing one to Abby.

"what do you know?" I question, wanting to know how easy this will be.

"I know the buttons, but that is all" she states making me groan.

"Okay, ghosts it is" I state putting the game into the player and opening up a multiplayer game.

"shoot" I scream at Abby, making her shoot her gun and kill me.

"that's good. I think that is enough lessons for now. If you take all of the information I just showed you, you will surely win" I smile, making her nod.

"thank you, Anna, see you here tomorrow? I have cheer practise, but I will come after" she smiles, making me frown my eyebrows together.

"I just showed you all you need to know so that you could go back to your normal life" I smile.

"yeah I know, but I like gaming with you, the more practice, the better" she smiles, making me nod.

"who is Emily?" Abby questions, I turn my head to the screen and see Emily's name pop up on my screen requesting me to play with her

"a friend" I smile. I get off my bed and unlock the door for Abby before answering the request and gaming some more.
