Chapter 6: Wedding Nightmare
When Samira opened her eyes she found herself in a large and spacious room. An expensive chandelier serves as a light in the room with long black curtains covering the large windows. She was surprised to see herself wearing a red gown and a red veil on her head. She rolled her eyes around, a man also wearing a red suit caught her attention. The man has been turned away from her so she had no idea who it was. She stood up to approach the man and ask where the two of them were. Her foot was about to step when the man faced where she was. She stopped at her stand. The man with her in the room was Lemar's brother, the man she followed to the acacia tree. The man walked over to her. The man was so handsome but she didn't know why she felt nervous about the stare of the man at her.
"It's good that you woke up," said the man who was now in front of her. Samira couldn't believe what she saw. She wonders how she is with him now.
"What am I doing here?" she asked in surprise. "Where are we?" she said next.
"Today is our wedding day," the man said smiling. The man then took her hand and kissed the back of her palm. "You are in our kingdom," the young man added.
"Marriage? Kingdom?" What is happening to her right now is still unbelievable for Samira. She remember earlier that Lemar had just taken her to their house. But why is she with his brother now?
"It's better that we go out, the guests have been waiting for us outside for a while." After saying that, the young man placed Samira's hand on her arm. Even though she was not ready for what would happen and she would see outside, she just agreed to what the man wanted.
The large door in the room opened spontaneously when they were in front of it. Samira's eyes widened when she saw many people outside. Almost everyone there was wearing red and black garments. The torches with large flames attached to each pillar of that kingdom serve as the light within. What Lemar told her about his identity came to her mind. Only then did she realize that there was truth in what he said. She just wondered why the creatures there had no horns.
The two are currently walking on the red carpet in the middle where everyone there are staring at them. As she walked, Samira looked around, feeling that there was something wrong with what was happening now. If she is really going to marry the man she is with now, why aren't her parents there? She also wanted to stop walking but her feet did not want to stop stepping on the floor. It was also noisy around them but she didn't understand what they were saying. She rolled her eyes, hoping her eyes would find the man she wanted to see but she failed to see him there.
Until they reached the front, Samira turned to her side because Alves was there and looking at her seriously. She stared at him for a moment, a stare that spoke for her to help. But Alves did nothing and now the two are sitting in the front seat, where there is a man wearing a black robe and red cape in the back. If in the world of human there is a priest who stands and blesses the bride and the groom, in the kingdom of darkness there is also. They were also priests, but in their early lives. The priest in front now was a former priest in the world of human, when it died it went to hell because of the blackness of his conscience. He was not a soul but born again and lived as a devil.
The priest began to speak but the words he uttered were not clear to Samira. She could not understand the word being uttered by the priest as if it were the language of devil.
"Stop the wedding!" A loud and manly voice came from the great gate of the kingdom. Everyone there turned around including Samira, except for Andrei who made no action. Samira was encouraged to see Lemar walking closer to where they were. But before he reached the middle, the soldiers blocked him and stopped him. They immediately handcuffed the young man and dragged him out of the kingdom. Samira was left speechless and did nothing but sit next to Andrei. When the big door was locked, the priest resumed speaking. Later, Andrei took her hand and put the black ring on her finger. Samira noticed that she was not wearing the amulet that Lemar had given her. After a while, Andrei approached her and kissed her on the lips. She was just stunned and that kiss seemed to be in favor of her lips.
Until all of a sudden it just roared around. There were people shouting and the sound of wood crashing.
"Samira! It's already noon and you haven't gotten up yet!" Samira was thrown back on her bed when she heard a scream outside her room. She sighed because that event was just a dream. She quickly got up and went to the door and opened it. From there her mother enters with her eyebrows meeting and her teeth seemed wanting to bite. "What time is it and you just woke up? Why? Are you a daughter of rich man?" her mother said emphatically.
"I'm sorry Mom, I didn't realize," Samira said softly.
"Come down and heat up the leftover food last night, your siblings will wake up soon!" After that her mother also came down.
She went back into her room and examined herself. Her forehead was sweating even though it wasn't that hot in her room. She next looked at her hand. She was still wearing the amulet that Lemar had given her, but a black mark that looked like a ring around her finger caught her attention. Her lips parted and she began to rub it. She wonders how there was a mark on her finger, while the wedding between her and Andrei last night was just a dream. She even smeared it with alcohol but it couldn't be erased, it looked like a tattoo that was forever marked.
Because Samira didn't want her mother to shout anymore, she went downstairs as well. When she got down she went straight to the kitchen and heated up the leftovers from yesterday. While warming up, she turned to their clock, which was only seven o'clock in the morning. Fortunately, their first class started at ten. It was still a long time so even if her mother told her to, she could still do it.
Time passed and Samira decided to go to school. While walking down the hallway someone pulled her arm. She stopped and looked at who had dared to do that to her. Her eyes widened when she saw Andrei holding her arm. Eventually a smile flashed on Andrei's lips which gave a strange pleasure to her heart. To think that he does nothing wrong to her, so it is only right that she should not have a feeling of anger towards him.
"W-what do you need from me?" Samira said stuttered. Before answering, Andrei's eyes went to Samira's finger where the black mark that looked like a ring could be seen. Samira was terrified because her dream last night was playing in her mind. She thinks that it is possible that the event was real. Or this man also dreamed about it.
"How's your dream? You still seem to be thinking about that until now?" Samira's shocked face was became serious.
"Have you dreamed what I dreamed too?" Samira said incredulously. Andrei raised his right hand and showed the finger which also had a black mark that looked like a ring.
"It wasn't a dream, because that was destined to happen," Andrei said seriously. "This is the sign that you are destined for me. It may be not clear to you and you are confused, but all that will be clear to you at the right time." Andrei continues.
They were in that position while in the hallway. The students passing by looked at them. Samira had noticed that earlier so she removed the young man's hand from her arm.
"I'll go ahead first, I might be late for my first class," she said. Then she walked away. Andrei no longer followed her. She looked at the place where it had been before but he was no longer there. She took a deep breath, however, lots of eyes around her seemed to be glaring. If she were to be connected to the two influential men at that school, her simple life would surely be disrupted.
She hurried to walk because there's a thought in her mind that later something might happen like what happened to her yesterday. She has also arrived at the room where their class will take place. When she entered the room, she looked back to where Axel was. But no empty seat was reserved for her because someone was already sitting there. It is also seem strange for her because Axel doesn't even look at her and he doesn't pay attention to her. It crossed her mind that Axel might have seen her yesterday with Lemar. She just walked to the other side where there was an empty seat. When she sat there she turned to the one next to her. She was a bit shocked to see Alves sitting there. He is no longer wearing a red uniform and he also has a new haircut. Instead of noticing him for a long time, she just sat up and looked straight ahead. She also knew that Alves would ignore her.
A few moments later, their professor arrived. They only have minor subjects now. While their professor was discussing, what Andrei had told her earlier inevitably crossed her mind. Until the end of their class Andrei was still in Samira's mind. Because of too much thinking she regrets not to caught up with Axel and left immediately. She still intends to talk to him about what happened yesterday.
She was about to walk out the door when Alves blocked her path. She looked at him, maybe he wouldn't drag her away.
"Are you playing with my brothers?" Alves started. Samira, on the other hand, seem shock to what Alves had said. By the thought of others, she's guilty indeed. But playing with his two brothers doesn't seem to bother her. She wasn't even playing with the two. They're the one who gets near to her.
"Of course not!" Samira replied.
"Really? Because it looks like you're hooking with both of them?" Alves said having his forehead furrowed.
"Hooking?" Samira said in disbelief. She can't accept that word but the sex scene she had with Lemar registered in her mind. "I'm not!" she denied.
"You know, being beautiful is a blessing not until you use it in wrong way." Alves' face turn to serious one. "You don't know totally who's you're flirting with? I'm saying this for your own sake, just choose one because you are only one."
Alves left her dumbfounded. Samira somehow agreed with Alves' point. She's only one indeed and hell she knows that. She was about to step when she notice that Andrei was walking towards her direction. She stop at her track and just let him get near her. Even though it's not right for her to see him because she knows that this guy has already have a girlfriend. But whenever she sees him, she was like being hypnotized and was mesmerized by the beauty of this man.
"I guess your class ended," Andrei said when he gets near with Samira.
"What are you doing here?" Samira asked. She didn't expect to encounter him again.
"You don't need to ask that, I'm here to fetch my girlfriend." When Andrei said that there's someone who's passing through where they are so the student seemed shock and even cover her mouth in disbelief.
"Girlfriend?" Samira asked wondering.
"Or should I say fiance?" Andrei said smiling. Samira immediately covered his mouth because someone is passing through the corridor. Andrei took that opportunity to hug her. And that one is more intriguing than telling others that she was his fiance.
"Let me go!" Samira said silently. She's protesting but she don't want to shout at him because she doesn't want attention from others.
"I won't let you go," Andrei said. He lowered his face down to Samira and whisper a words. "Let's have a lunch in canteen, my treat." Samira's protest seemed to subside. But she's worried that a lot of students will see them together. And what Alves said to her might became a talk of the town.
While thinking those things, Andrei hold her hands and approach her to walk. She's not that willing to have lunch with Andrei but she has no choice but to go with him. And now they are walking on the corridor having those glaring eyes around them.
When they arrived at the canteen, they go straight to where the foods were set. They order foods and settle themselves on the corner. They didn't want the students to look at them at the center, so they just sit there. But despite those, students still looking at them murmuring words that they don't want to hear.
"She's really something! She's with Lemar yesterday but now she's with Andrei!" the girl in red uniform said in annoyance. If not a fan this girl is probably one of the girls who's head over heels with Andrei. Samira heard all those but didn't exposed herself getting annoyed and feel guilty about it.
"She's undeniably beautiful but hooking with twin brothers are undeniably wrong!" the other girl said.
"Just because she's beautiful, she can flirt with the hearthrob!" the girl in gray uniform said unbelievably.
Hearing those words, Samira is totally in pain. In fact she wasn't started to eat her lunch and just slicing the beef she have on her plate. Andrei noticed that so he comfort her.
"Don't mind those girls, they're just envy to a beauty like you," Andrei said smiling cheering her up. Samira just sighed and started to have a bite of her food. If only she could use her power to be invisible but she doesn't want. She wanted to live a normal life just like her family and she doesn't want anyone to know that she's not normal. She just eat her lunch and get herself full of it.
When they'd finished their lunch, they decided to go to the library. Not to mention but both of them are bookworms. Samira was about to stand when she felt a cold water was pour at her uniform.
"Oh sorry!" The lady in red uniform acted as if she was guilty about what had happened to her. "I didn't mean to throw you a cup of soda but you deserved that!" Then the group of ladies started to laugh at her.
"Elisa!" Andrei said with his eyebrows frowned. "Are you that desperate to call others' attention?" Elisa on the other hand seemed shocked towards Andrei's expression. She just gave him a glare.
"I can't believe you Andrei! We just broke up yesterday and now you have someone around!" Anger was obvious in Elisa's eyes. She can't afford to lose with someone who's not in her level.
"You know the reason why I'd make you my girlfriend and not that I'm in love with you!" Elisa's lips parted and turned around to see if someone heard that, but she was shocked to see that the students are gathered around them. She just let out a fake laugh to hide her embarrassment. She know the reason why Andrei make her his girlfriend and that is to just present her in his family as her future wife. So that Andrei's family would not be bother looking for another girl. But not until Andrei found Samira, which he eventually fell in love with.
Andrei approach Samira and hold her hand. He walk with her through the locker. When they got there, Andrei immediately opened his cabinet and take a pair of clothes for Samira to wear. It's a pair of P.E uniform, Andrei has that even he's a senior because he is a varsity player in basketball. Though hesitant, Samira just took what Andrei gave her. She went inside the comfort room and change her clothes into that P.E uniform. When she's finished, she went out and went to where Andrei was.
"Looking good in my uniform," Andrei said smiling at her. Samira felt a bit shy but he's her fiance afterall.
"Thank you," Samira said. After that they went to the library. While walking, Samira was thinking of Lemar. She hadn't seen him there, not even the shadow of him. She wanted to asked that question to Andrei but she felt that it was going to break the good ambience between them, so she just think of him silently.
