Trust him? Can I?

Chloe can't stop her nervousness. She decides to read her novel and lay on the bed.

It has been a few minutes and it already 9 pm. Chloe just keeps reading her novel. While Zoe in her room gives Mien, her dog to eat and clean his place. Suddenly, someone rings the bell.

Chloe sits up when she heard that sounds.

“Chloe!!! Can you get the door!!!!???” Zoe yells. Chloe let out a heavy sigh. She stands up and takes off her glasses.

She went out of her room and straight to the door. She opens it and it was them. Damien gives her a big smile while Ajax gives her a gentle smile that her favorite.

“Good night Chloe!!!” Damien grins.

“N-Night. ” Chloe clear her throat. She steps aside to let them in. Chloe close the door and didn't know what to talk about.

“Where is Zoe?” Damien asks.

“In her room.” Chloe answer.

Damien nodded and before he walked, he winks at Ajax because this sleepover idea is his. Ajax rolls his eyes and sits on the couch. Damien leaves both of them alone while he just stands there awkwardly. Usually, she will be on her childish side when at home but now she can't. Oh, come on. It just one day. How bad it can be? Chloe thought. Chloe walked closer to Ajax and she doesn't know why. She tapped his shoulder.

“Y-You want b-blanket?” Chloe asks.

“Sure. ” Ajax smiles. Chloe knows Damien wouldn't sleep here because he will sleep with Zoe so it means Ajax is alone here.

“Are you okay?” Ajax asks.

Ajax notices her expression. He felt happy also because Chloe is the first one to approach him.

“U-Um...you know that..y-you will sleep alone here?” Chloe shuttering.

“I know. Damien will sleep with his girlfriend. ” Ajax says. Chloe nods her head agreement. Ajax smirks at her when he has an idea to tease her.

“Why you ask? You want me to sleep with you?” Ajax asks.

Chloe's cheek turns into a deep red. She looks away and didn't even dare to have eye contact with him.

“I-I will give you a blanket now.” Chloe says. She rushes to her room and she heard Ajax laughed at her. He can't help but laugh at her red cheeks and shy side. After a few minutes, Chloe comes with a blanket on her hand. She hands it to Ajax. That blanket is pretty big also plus the couch is also normal big.

“Thanks.” Ajax says with a smile. Chloe nods. Ajax looks at her and smiles.

“Want to watch a movie together? ” Ajax asks. Chloe stares at him. Did she wonder why this guy really didn't care about she a shy person or a quiet? Chloe thought about it for a moment. Maybe she can join because she doesn't have anything to do.

Chloe sits beside him and chooses the movie.

“What movie we will watch?” Ajax asks.

“Um. I don't know.” Chloe answer.

“How about...The Nun?” Ajax asks. Chloe looks at him with wide eyes. Ajax let out a chuckle when he saw her.

“Why? Scared?” Ajax asks. Chloe shakes her head.

“N-No" Chloe lied.

Honestly, she was scared actually. She doesn't really like horror movies. She hates it. It not that she can't sleep at night, she just hates when the part is making her shocked.

They keep watching it and Chloe hides under the blanket that she gives Ajax just now. Ajax can't help but laughed. He even can't focus on this movie. With her adorable action, there is no way he can focus. It already raining heavily. After the movie finished, Chloe get out of the blanket and peeked from the blanket. Ajax chuckles at her.

“You didn't watch it at all.” Ajax smirks. Chloe blushing at him and look away.

“It...scary. ” Chloe says. Ajax smiles at her and he notices that it already 11 pm. Ajax turned to her.

“Let's sleep. It late already. ” Ajax says. Chloe nods in agreement.

She stands up and about to walk but Ajax talk.

“Chloe, don't be scared to sleep alone." Ajax says with a smirked. Chloe looks away and just ignore him. Ajax giggles and position himself to sleep.

Chloe closes her door and laid on her bed. It not that she scared, she just scared of maybe something else? She just sleeps and turns off the light.

She sitting at the corner of the room while hugging her knees and crying. She didn't eat properly. Outside is raining heavily and you can hear thunder sound.

It makes Chloe even more scared. No one there for her. No one there to comfort her. The door being slammed open and it was her father. Chloe yelling in scared watching her father with a drunk state and holding a soju bottle.

“You...You b*tch!!!” Yelling her father. He went closer to Chloe and slapped her across the face. Chloe trembling and she didn't even dare to face it.

“Because of you...because of you, my wife is death!!!!! ” Yelling her father. The loud sound of thunder and mix with the sound of her father yelling it makes her more trauma.

Chloe sits up when she heard thunder sound. She breathes heavily. She realizes it was a dream. She sweating too much. She hates that sounds. She already trauma it. She felt something liquid dripping from her face and yes she cried.

She flinched and bursts into tears. She wants to sleep with Zoe but obviously, she can't. Damien is there. She hugs her knees and cry. Her father always traps her in her room and when that thunder comes, no one comes to comfort her. That why she trauma of it. Her parents also abused her until she becomes 15 years old and Zoe found her. From there, she escaped from that hell and live with Zoe.

Chloe closes her ears while crying.

“Please...h-help me...” Chloe mumbles.

“Ahh!!!!” Chloe yelling but of course, no one heard. The sound of raining is so loud and thunder also.

She suddenly thought of Ajax. She realizes only Ajax in the living room. Without wasting her time, she runs outside her room. She meets Ajax sleeping peacefully on the couch. She knows this guy is the guy who she just met recently but only one question. Should Chloe trust him? Is he will bring any harm to her? Chloe stares at Ajax and suddenly...

The loud sound from thunder makes her startled.

She flinched and cry. She kneels down in front of Ajax and shakes his arms.

"A-Ajax, wake up," Chloe says.

“Hm?” Ajax says with eyes close. Chloe can't say anything because she is really scared right now. She can't stop her tears and she accidentally let out a sobbing. Ajax just half of the sleep but when he heard a sobbing sound, he becomes panic and opens his eyes.

There, he saw Chloe crying in front of her while close her ears. Ajax wondered, is she scared of thunder?

“C-Chloe!! why are you crying!?” Ajax asks.

“I-I'm s-scar-” Her sentence being cut by that sound again.

“AHHH!!!” She yelling and burst into tears. Ajax stunned and he never sees someone scared of thunder like this. It makes his heart sank. By looking at her like these conditions. Ajax brings her to his arms and stroke her hair.

“Shhh, I'm here for you.” Ajax whispered on her ears.

Ajax brings her to lay on the couch with him and cover them with a blanket. He hugs her and holds her waist.

“Just sleep, I'm here.” Ajax says. Chloe sobbing on his chest holds his shirt.

“Everything will be fine. I'm always here with you.” Ajax comforts her. He keeps giving her a comforting word.

Chloe didn't want him to say that or not, she will believe it. She was scared if she being hurt again.

“Y-You will?” Chloe asks.

“I will.” Ajax answer. He starts to hum a random song for her sleep. Chloe slowly driving to her dreamland and is followed by Ajax also who slowly quiet. They sleep together in each other arms.
