Jason Hills
His assistant was with him and his bulged because this is the first time his boss is going to be near a lady talked less of carrying her so intimately.
After steadying her properly into his arms, he found out that her body was burning real bad. He was extremely shocked as he began walking fast towards his car.
The driver opened the door for him respectfully with his head bowed as Sanders entered into the car as a panicked expression was on his face. His assistant quickly entered the car.
"Where are we going to now boss?" The assistant asked carefully after observing his expression.
He looked at the frail lady who was in his arms.
"To the hospital." He said.
"Yes boss." Teddy said before glancing at the driver who immediately ignited the car.
"Boss, what about the meeting?" Teddy asked once again.
"Cancel it. She is more important than any freaking meeting." He spat.
"But the shareholders are..............."
"Are you the boss or am I the boss?" Sanders asked as he cut off his assistant's sentence immediately.
Teddy gulped down nothing as cold sweat dripped down from his back.
"So sorry boss. I won't speak anymore." Teddy said with fear all over his face.
Sanders did not pay any attention to him anymore as he focused on the lady in his arms. He observed her as he felt pity for her. She looked so frail and her face lacked blood.
She looked malnourished and sick.
Why was she unconscious on the road?
Why didn't anyone help her?
Why did they leave her on the floor without helping her to the hospital?
These were the questions he had on their way to the hospital.
25 minutes later, the driver got to the biggest hospital in town,City Hospital. Before leaving the car, Sanders placed a call to one of the senior doctors of the hospital who is his friend, Jason Hills.
Most people don't know that Jason is the owner of the company as he decided to be a surgeon in the hospital.
Sanders carried her in his arms as he passed a secret passageway meant for VIPs of the hospital.
Few moments later, he met with Jason who was shocked to see Sanders carrying a lady. It felt ecstatic on behalf of his friend.
"Who is she?" Jason asked immediately he came face to face with Sanders.
"Is she our sister-in-law?" He asked once again with a wide smile on his face.
"It seems I should tell the others." He said as he pulled out his phone from his doctor's coat.
Sanders threw a glare at him and he surrendered.
"Why are you so scary? Sometimes I wonder how I'm friends with you." Jason said playfully.
"I should be the one asking that question as I can't stand you and your antics." Sanders replied to him with a roll of his eyes.
"Check her" He said immediately as they had reached the VIP room at that moment.
"Is something wrong with her brain? Don't tell me something is wrong with sister-in-law's brain." He said dramatically.
"She fainted due to an high fever." Sanders replied him.
His answer dampened all of Jason's enthusiasm.
"Are you doubting my professionalism? I'm a neurosurgeon not a normal doctor,Mr. Wealth." Jason said.
Sanders gave him a cold look immediately and he got to work instantly.
"Why do you have to be so scary?" Jason asked with fake tears in his eyes.
"Stop trying to be pitiful. It won't help. Just help conduct a checkup on her. You are the only doctor I can trust." Sanders said in a low voice.
Jason chuckled softly before focusing on Kira once more.
"How is she?" Sanders asked immediately he saw Jason putting away his tools.
He sighed before saying,
"She looks malnourished. It seems that she doesn't get to have a balanced meal." Jason said with a deep furrow between his eyebrows.
"What do you mean? " Sanders asked with a confused expression on his face.
"What I mean to say is that she is not well fed. It feels like she is suffering from gastrointestinal problems. Coupled with the fact that she has been stressed lately, she had to faint. No normal person will be stressed and still endure stomach problems." Jason said while rolling hos eyes at Sanders who only sat on the sofa of the hospital room.
"Will she be okay?" Sanders asked worriedly.
"Definitely. As long as I am here, nothing bad will happen to her." Jason said confidently.
"I hope you keep your words." Sanders said icily.
"You are doubting my professionalism. It is not right." Jason said acting like he was hurt.
Sanders gave him a blank stare before focusing his gaze on Kira. He began thinking about what she is going through in her life. He also wondered why she was laying lifeless on the floor with no one to help her.
His assistant looked at him petrified as he saw a gentle gaze on his face. This was the first time he will be seeing such an expression on his face. He was shocked.
He cleared his throat as he prayed that his boss wouldn't revert back to his icy expression for what he is about to say.
"Boss, what about the meeting? The shareholders have been calling and they are very angry that you didn't show up for the meeting." Teddy said with a scared expression on his face.
Sanders glanced at him in differently before uttering two words,
"Cancel it."
"Right away boss." Teddy said respectfully.
He left immediately he answered leaving Sanders who continually looked at Kira.
Jason looked at him with a smirk on his face as he observed his lovestruck friend. He brought out his phone and took a picture before smirking.
The shutter of the camera brought Sanders out of his reverie. He looked at him with an indifferent expression before focusing back on Kira's pale face.
Jason was stunned because he knew that his friend never liked taking pictures but he tolerated him taking a picture of him and the girl. He began to wonder about the relationship between he and the girl.
