Chapter 7

I cannot believe this.

I just broke an engagement.

I look up to Carter and he looks at his phone boringly.

"What the heck are you saying, Whitney?" says Brandon with shock, I cannot blame him, I should have thought that Carter has a fiance.

What?! I don't understand?

Brandon looks at me and he sees my face scrunching in confusion. He leans in close to me and whispers.

"They are not together or anything, they' are actually fuck buddies."

Ohhh now I get it, anyway I don't care about him.

"Stop lying to yourself, obviously you're in love with him!"

"Nobody asked you!"I yell.

While I'm battling with my conscience, in the corner of my eyes, I see Carter staring at me again until someone whines.

"Baby...what are you staying with this bitch?" Whitney spits as she is sending me a disgusted look.

What are you looking you slut? I wish i could but did not have the courage to do that. So I lower my eyes to my lap.

"What did you say?" Carter grits dangerously.

"I just insulted her, she is not worth it babe."

As she says that, I felt my eyes ready to let it out all these tears, Myla calms me down by hugging my back.

"Shut the fuck up ... look at yourself before looking at her!" He snarls angrily while eyeing at her deadly.

Silence overflows, people from the cafeteria stay quiet when they heard our conversation. Till then, Whitney broke it by apologizing.

"Sorry ...I didn't mean it." She lowers her gaze to the floor.

Carter stands up and walks toward me, I look at anyone for help but he throw me on his shoulder and starts to walk in the hallway.

"Let me go!" I scream and kick his back but he did not wince, not even a single noise coming out of his mouth, damn he's strong well he did train so hard to have this muscular body dream.

"Shut up! You're annoying!" He calls boringly.

He goes outside of the school and he put me down carefully, I stand up while glaring at him and he intensely stares at me without saying anything.

"Why did you brought me here?" I ask sternly.

"I need to say something."

"I don't want to know then goodbye." I turn my way to go to my house since I have one period left so why bother to go to this one class when you can go home.

"Fucking hell..." He sighs.

Suddenly, Carter grabs my arms and turn me over to his body, he put my arms around his neck and shockingly he smashes his lips to mine just like before in the janitor closet, I don't know how much we kept kissing but it felt like hours, he bites my lower lip for permission and I deny.

"Open up your mouth, baby." He whispers seductively.

He grabs my ass and I gasp which makes him take the opportunity to enter his tongue in collision with mines.

He opens his eyes and glare at me deadly like he will kill someone, he grips my arms too hard and surely it will leave a bruise.

"You.are.fucking.mine.get.that." He spits slowly and possessively.

What the fuck? So, first of all, he kissed me like it's the end of the world and then he's literally threatening me and take me like a possession, oh boy you got the wrong girl.

"Not I'm not, I don't belong to anyone, asshole!" I clench my fist angrily, ready to punch this guy.

His eyes turn into a deadly stare as if he looks like he wants to punch someone. Suddenly he slaps me with his mighty force, I crumble down and touch my bruised cheek that he caused. It brought too many bad memories that I feel weak for a moment.

"I'm so sorry." He whispers, feeling guilty.

I don't reply and cry to myself silently.

"You make me do demons thing, it's unbelievable." He says slowly and hugs me tightly.

"I'm sorry babygirl, please forgive me!" he says, kissing my cheeks.

"I forgive you." I say silently, I know what you thinking that I forgive him, just like that. Well, it's just that I can't be experiencing the same thing again with Jake. I just want to get over it and move on. If I forgive him that means he will leave me right?

"Thank you, I would never let you get hurt."

But can you promise that?

Back home.

Finally at home, I did hide my bruises with a concealer and a foundation, I know I'm stupid to forgive him, but I have a crush for him and every time he's here...well I can't help it.

Anyway, I open the door and see my brother playing in his PS4, I didn't greet him because I'm too tired of all the drama. I go upstairs, took off my clothes, put my phone to sleep and I lay down on my bed.

I think about everything that today. That Carter made me remember about Jake, my psycho ex, why do I lure trouble around me?

Next day.

I wake up around 10:00, happy that it's the weekend, I do my usual routine of the day and go downstairs. I saw my whole family there having breakfast.

"Good morning guys!" I say happily.

"Good morning Jenna!" They say altogether with a smile.

"Last member of this family who woke up late." James jokes.

"Oh shut up, I was just tired." I say, not telling anything about the incident and my bruised cheek.

"Oh but you didn't eat yesterday..." Mom says worryingly.

"I wasn't hungry that's all."

"Alright honey but next time don't skip it diner time, it's important to sleep with our belly full." Dad jokes to lighten up the mood.

Everyone laughs at him, I love my family, they are the only one who can help me.

"My dear family, we should go out since it's the weekend." My dad says with a big smile.

"Fuck yeah..." James says.

"James no swearing!" Mom warns him.

"Sorry..."

"I was thinking that we could go to a restaurant and I can invite a family?" Dad asks us.

"Oh sure, invite your best friend family, I want my kids to meet their kids." Mom says as she takes her phone.

"Alright honey, guys be ready for the restaurant at 6 pm and don't forget to wear elegant clothes." He says to us.

"Yes dad." Me and brother say.

5:30.

Ugh I can't find the dress for the restaurant, at the morning I did nothing other than spending my time on Netflix to watch The office, literally the best thing. Anyway, I took a shower and did my makeup and now I can't find the right dress for tonight.

"Mom!" I yell.

"Yes honey." She responds with an annoyed voice but hides it perfectly with a smile, what's wrong with her?

"I can't find a dress for the restaurant."

"Oh I have one for you, wait for me." She rolls her eyes.

5 minutes after.

"Here we go, a dress for this special lady." She says with a suspicious tone that I can't make the difference.

I took her with suspicion and thank her, the dress is alright it fits me perfectly.

My mom comes in just in time and she is looking at me with proud and get emotional

"Oh I remember that I wore this dress when your dad and me went on our first date, it was absolutely magical." She says while crying.

"Mom don't cry, you going to mess up your makeup." I console my mom.

"You're right honey, come downstairs the boys are waiting for you." I nod.

I take my purse and my phone then go downstairs to see my dad and brother wear a tuxedo.

"Omg how long does it take for girls to get ready?" James sighs in annoyance.

"Don't be like that, you idiot!" Dad smacks his head.

"Here we are James, don't be stupid!" Mom warns him.

"My beautiful women, you guys are beautiful!" Dad compliments us.

My mom goes toward my dad and they begin to kiss each other.

"Ew let's go, before we are late." I say.

They stop what they were doing and they are now holding each other hands.

"Jenna look still ugly even though you put on some makeup." James jokes again.

"Shut up James, you are a disgusting pig with this outfit." I say and he furrows his eyebrows while pouting.

We laugh like a happy family, at the moment I only wanted this. Now I could forget about Carter but he will be back in my mind but right now I just want to enjoy this special moment.
