Chapter-10 Control my powers
AVYANNA'S POV
"Rose, you don't need to mess with them. They are not good people and will make your life problematic in this school. They belong to one of the strongest packs, and as pathetic as it sounds, their alpha never makes a move regarding what they do either. She has great influence in the school too," Cassandra said to me, and I chuckled darkly.
"Cassandra, listen to me, and listen to me very carefully because I won't be repeating it," I said, using Evander's lines from earlier.
"I am an easy-going person, and I hate to find trouble with people. Well, that's only until someone comes along and messes with me. Who do you think I am? I am no god of forgiveness. I get angry, and I get out of control when someone challenges my morals like this. I don’t take shit from anyone. I might get outnumbered in front of them, but if someone questions me and annoys me, I am not going down without a fight. I just happen to be in a bad mood today, and I am going to use that energy well on her," I told Cassandra, and she held my hand, making me look at her.
"Fine. Do as you wish. Don't expect me to come and save your ass when you are getting beaten up," She said while biting her lips before looking away, the nervousness in her eyes making me smile as I couldn't help but find her cute.
It was obvious she was concerned about me but was too proud to show it.
"Don't worry, Cass. I am used to fighting my battles myself. Besides, it's not even a battle. I am just going to teach these girls how to be nice to other people," I said before politely, taking my hand out from her grip as I saw one of Melinda's girls walking towards me with a smirk on her face.
"You bitch, you were acting quite proud just now. What happened now? Cat got your tongue?" The girl asked me when I didn’t say anything, and I just sighed while looking at her up and down, thinking if she was all talk or would do something to hurt me.
'Avyanna, let's get out of here, I don't feel too well. Your powers are making me a bit fidgety now,' My wolf suddenly said, and I took a deep breath to contain my annoyance.
I know she is also having a hard time these days as my mood is constantly bad, and whenever that happens, my powers to control the air element start to react, and the air around me starts to get heavy. This was something I had discovered when I was being bullied harshly three years ago by Camille, and was on the verge of my death bed.
My powers had suddenly created an artificial thunderstorm and tornado-like conditions, making everyone leave me all beaten up in the middle of the ground, and it was after some time that my grandmother had found me and brought me to Ashton's pack along with her.
'Don't worry. It won't be for too long,' I said as I looked at the girl before sighing and looking behind her at Melinda.
"Is this what you said I should be afraid of? Jeez, if you were such cowards, you shouldn't have provoked me in the first place," I said as I saw her looking towards her left, making me notice how the boys that had sat earlier were gone now.
Oh, so she was waiting for that alpha boy to leave so that she doesn't tarnish her image in front of him? What a cunning girl! I thought before looking at her as her earlier hesitation immediately changed to a bold attitude.
"You wanted to see what you should be afraid of? Well, it happens that I am in a good mood today and will tell you everything in detail," Melinda said while looking at me, and I scoffed.
'Be careful, Avy. Didn't you hear Cassandra? She is the future beta of the Sinister pack, and they are considered quite strong,' My wolf reminded me, and I rolled my eyes at her.
One moment she is urging me to take some action and not feel down because I am strong, and the other moment she asks me to be careful because my opponent belongs to a strong pack?
‘I am just trying to look out for you, Avy. I know I am useless at the moment as I can’t help you with any of your fights, thus, the least I can do is support you verbally like this. And right now, seeing how she is looking at us so smugly with those other girls, I am a bit worried about her,’ My wolf said, and I couldn’t help but sigh.
‘Don’t worry. Even if you don’t trust me, at least believe in all the training I took from the rogue head secretly,’ I said, and she sighed before nodding her head.
"Molly, why don't you teach her a lesson and start with a few treats?" Melinda asked the girl who had walked up to me, and I looked at her, ready to dodge her.
"Sure thing, Melinda," The girl named Molly said, and before I could grasp what she was about to do, rather than punching like I had guessed she would, she sat and turned, kicking me in the legs, making me fall as I raised my brows at her unexpected attack.
"You wanted to see how we treat people who oppose us, no?" She asked me before punching me, and before I could stand, the other girl who was standing beside Melony earlier came and kicked me, making me turn to my left to dodge her as I saw Alex.
Looking at me horrified, he took a step towards me, making me turn my head, and as if thinking about something, he stopped midway before leaving, probably to tell Evander that I was being beaten up?
Damn. When I thought I was ready to make my first impression, I had thought I would be leaving some good image of being the troubling ruthless girl, not something like a weakling who was being beaten up.
Thinking about how they were cunningly trying to take me down by attacking me again and again, without even giving me the chance to attack, I gritted my teeth, not wanting to control myself anymore.
I had been controlling myself earlier because I was afraid I might end up hurting them more than they would be able to take as I was already angry because of my mother's needs. However, now that they are being like this, I think I can have some fun here.
Grabbing the fist of the girl who had suddenly attacked me, I smiled at her cunningly. Twisting her fist, making her look at me surprised, I kicked Molly away from me, making her land a few feet away from me as I stood before dusting my jeans casually, scoffing at them.
"Well, I wanted to play nice, but you played me dirty by attacking me out of nowhere. I thought we were doing one at a time. Bad girls, always using tricks," I said before kicking Molly the same way she kicked me, making her fall on the table as I grabbed the other girl by the hair and smashed her head on the table before twisting her hand behind her back.
"You! How dare you!" Melinda shrieked at me, and I chuckled.
"You didn't observe clearly how dare I do that? No worries. I am in no hurry. Let me show you again," I said before kicking Molly again and throwing her on the other table, making the students sitting beside the table stand and go in the corner.
"Sorry for the food, guys. I am sure Melinda will have no trouble paying for it and compensating for it," I said before pushing the girl whose hand I was holding towards Melinda, making her crash into her as she almost fell.
"You dared to hurt my girls," Melinda said darkly before she looked to her left, and as if everyone understood her signal, the humans were being escorted out. Though the humans had a different canteen, they weren't exactly banned from coming here, and thus the few humans were escorted out by some wolves with god knows what excuse.
As soon as the humans left, Melinda looked at me, and before I could judge what was going on inside her head, with the speed of light, she ran towards me before slapping me, making my head turn to the left as I almost fell on the ground if not for the table
.
Oh, so now she is down to using her supernatural powers? I bet if she will be able to take it if I start using my supernatural powers. I thought before scoffing.
Tasting the blood in my mouth, making my powers get haywire again, I closed my eyes before opening my fist as I concentrated and released some of the energy in the air, making the weather suddenly start to change. Though I was angry at her, I would never hurt her or anybody by using my supernatural powers, about whom, even I don’t know of.
Turning back to Melinda, I scoffed before kicking her in the abdomen as anger started to engulf me. Picking up a chair in a swift motion, I hit her with the chair, making the wooden chair break into pieces as she fell on the ground.
Seeing her wounds healing already, I felt more annoyed and couldn't help but bite my lips to control my anger that was starting to blaze through my veins, and I was in the process of calming myself so that I don't hurt her too much when I felt someone hitting my head from behind me, paired with someone slicing my hand, making me turn to look at Molly and the other girl, who hit my head with a wooden stick and sliced me with a blunt knife simultaneously, making me touch the back of my head, feeling relaxed when I didn't see any blood.
However, that wasn’t the case with my hand, which was now dripping blood, making me clench my fists.
"You just wrote your death sentence," I said before gripping the stick from her hand and beating her with the stick, again and again, continuing her beating along with the other girl as they fell to the ground, making me look at Melinda, who was looking at me with a little uncertainty in her eyes now.
"Wait? What am I seeing? Is that uncertainty in your eyes? Why? Do you think you and your girls won't be able to take a normal wolf like me now?" I asked before gripping her neck as I made her stand forcefully.
"You do know everything would've been avoided if you would've said a little sorry, no?" I asked and was about to leave her when I saw her nodding at someone behind me and judging from how cunning these girls are, I somehow knew that they were thinking of attacking me together.
And thus, I didn't leave her neck, and rather kicked the girl with my half-turned body before pressing her down as I turned Melinda around, pressing on her neck by placing her between my chest and hand as I grabbed Molly before twisting my body, pressing her down with my other leg and hand, making all of us fall on the ground.
"Tell me, are you going to apologize to me now, or do I need to beat the shit out of you guys?" I asked, and she scoffed.
"There is no way in hell I am going to apologize to you. You are just a bitch who is lucky today because I am not feeling well," She said, and I couldn't help but scoff.
"Sure thing. I am up for a new fight whenever you feel okay, but for now, I am not going to let you go before you apologize to me," I said to her, and she looked like she was about to say something. However, she stopped midway before sniffing the air.
"Look, you need to leave me right now. The future alpha of our pack is approaching, and I can't have him see us like this," she said, and I chuckled.
"Well, what a coincidence. I want whoever that guy is to see us like this only," I said, and she gritted her teeth.
"I hope you can maintain the same attitude when you get scolded by the alpha of the Enceladus pack," She said, and I squinted my brows.
Why would I get a scolding from the alpha of the Enceladus pack? I thought before realization hit me.
Of course, I will be scolded by him. He is none other than Evander, and he is my teacher here! How could I forget about him amidst all this?!
When I had thought of creating trouble, this wasn’t exactly what I had in my mind. I was just thinking about a few arguments and slaps here and there, not a full-blown fight, including blood and property damage.
I thought and was about to leave the girls when I heard rushed footsteps in the canteen, making me look up as I saw none other than Alex, gaping at me.
I was about to relax, seeing it was only Alex. However, my relief was cut short when I saw Evander pushing Alex away and looking at me with dark eyes.
"Avyanna, what the hell is going on in here?" He asked me with dark eyes, and now that I look at him, I think it wasn't that good of an idea to provoke him by creating trouble on my first day here.
"Bro- Eva- Mr. Sterling, I... they started it!" I couldn't help but stutter while mustering my best innocent look, making Melinda and the girls look at me with surprise as I immediately turned into a docile kid.
I just hope he doesn't get too angry about it. I thought before looking at him hopefully and innocently.
