Chapter 9
Ryan glanced up at the window of the newly bought apartment and frowned. He thought he had felt someone staring at him earlier. He was even so sure but now that he got there, there was no one at the window side.
He shrugged his shoulders and just walked away... Maybe he had just imagined someone staring at him fiercely earlier. Lulu looked all too happy to be led down the pavement. Lulu is the name he had chosen for his puppy when he first met her.
He'd never been good at naming things but the name had just flashed in his mind when he saw Lulu looking all pitiful in the little cage at the shelter months back.
Lulu's happy 'woof' shook him out of his reverie and he soon realized that they had gone a bit far even more than he wanted to do he tried to turn around but Lulu was having none of it.
The puppy whined softly and looked at Ryan with a sad pair of big brown eyes and Ryan couldn't help crouching down. He looked at Lulu and scratched her fur gently.
"What's wrong baby?" He asked her when she kept whining and trying to turn around. ' You see... I don't defy you like the puppy is doing. I always obey your orders,' Ray suddenly spoke again.
Ryan groaned in frustration. ' You are even worse than her. You don't listen at all but she listens sometimes,' Ryan replied, a little bit too harshly.
The wolf whined softly at this and went back to sleep or at least that's what Ryan thought cause he couldn't hear the wolf whining anymore.
"Lulu... It's late and we have to go back soon. I'll bring you out for a walk when I have time okay?" He spoke softly like he was talking to a little child.
Lulu didn't respond and just looked at him. In the end, he had no other choice but to lift the puppy in his arms and walk back home.
But as soon as he tried to walk past the new neighbour's apartment, Lulu protested. She made a loud 'hoof' and 'woof' sound trying to get down from his arms but this sudden behaviour only made him hold on to her tightly.
The puppy kept on growling and barking and he was forced to stop on the pavement, just in front of their pathway. He couldn't figure out what was making Lulu get all wild until he sniffed the air.
He chuckled when he suddenly realized the reason why Lulu was struggling to get down too badly. Even the aroma made him want to crouch down beside Lulu and join her.
He bent down and release Lulu who didn't waste a second rushing towards a small batch of cookies that had obviously been placed down for her.
Ryan watch Lulu munch on it happily and he suddenly looked out the window. A frown appeared on his face when he noticed that someone seemed to have stepped away from the window just when he looked there.
Is she or he hiding from him? He felt suspicious and immediately raised his hand to make sure his baggy hoodie cap is covering his face or at least doing a good job in covering his face.

"Aww! See the puppy munching on it so happily. Emily, won't you come over and take a look?" Lena asked as soon as she saw that the unknown mister who is apparently the owner of the puppy almost caught her staring.
When she had complained earlier about missing a closer view of the puppy cause she had been too busy dealing with Emily's love life problems, Emily had suggested she should just lay out the remaining batch of cookies on the pavement in front of their apartment.
"No... You know I am not a huge fan of pets. The only pet I'd ever like is a goldfish. They have absolutely no trouble in this world," Emily answered.
"Sister, just take a look at this puppy and you'll love it instantly. It's so cute," Lena still tried to persuade her but she just ignored her and continued browsing through the news feed.
Lena pouted and gave up trying. She kept quiet and continued staring at the puppy till it finished and the owner led it away. He even waved back without turning around like he had noticed her standing there.
She immediately drew down the curtain when he waved and rushed back to the bed. Had he noticed her standing? But apart from the time he turned around and she hid away, he didn't turn around again so how had he noticed her?
She looked at Emily and couldn't help but notice the unhappy expression on Emily's face. Her eyes twinkled mischievously as she thought of something. She smiled and brought out her phone, briefly glanced at Emily and typed something on her phone.
Her phone made a sound that indicated the entry of a message. She looked at Emily to check if she had noticed anything but the latter was just too busy with her own phone.

Ryan chuckled at nothing when he got in. He could almost imagine the lady's surprise look when he waved at her earlier. She obviously didn't want to be seen but she had taken a liking to his puppy.
So the least he could do to show his appreciation was to wave at her so she would know he had sensed her presence.
He let the happy Lulu into her cage and then walked to his own room. He stripped and walked to the bathroom. His mind drifted to Scott and wondered why the brat hasn't called him for so long. Hasn't he reached home yet?

The loud and coloured blinking lights added more to the sensual effect of the club. Music was blaring from every corner of the club as stripers clung to poles showing off their talent.
Scott sat hidden in the secluded part of the club as he sipped his champagne, his eyes not blinking away from the sight of a stripper just a few steps from him.
"Do you want her boss?" The waiter beside him seemed to have noticed his attention on the stripper.
