Chapter 3

The ride to the ice cream shop was pretty quiet. Now that we were in the shop. Sitting at a booth together. I am sitting next to Dimitri. While Liam and Lucia are sitting across from us. We aren't really talking so I take a breath and decide to break the silence, " Daniel was being a jerk, but ill apologize to Nate and James." I tell them.

" You don't need to apologize to them. They were most likely planning on jumping you. To get to us since they can't beat us in a fair fight." Liam finally says breaking the silence.

Dimitri nods, " Yeah, I just didn't figure Daniel would be the type to sink so low to pick on a girl." He says placing the menu down on the table.

" I can handle myself you know. I'm not defenseless." I tell them

Lucia smirks, " Yeah, Nate holding his crotch made that very apparent." he says with chuckle.

Liam snorts, " That and James was limping his way over to us."

The three of them burst into laughter.

" I am glad you find it funny." I tell them as the waitress walks over to take our orders.

Once the waitress wrote our orders down. She gives a soft smile before walking away.

I notice Liam checking out the waitress ass.

" Seriously? She probably old enough to be your mom." I tell him.

Liam smirks, " Older woman need love too."

I hear Dimitri laugh.

" Can you guys be serious? What am I suppose to do about Daniel?" I asked them impatiently.

" Just Ignore and avoid him. He won't be around for much longer anyway he leaves next week. He is going out of town with his dad." Dimitri informs me

" So, is he not graduating?" I ask them.

Dimitri shakes his head, " No, he is graduating. There just isn't a need for him to continue to hang around anymore. So, all you have to do is stay clear of him for a week and you are home free."

I can ignore and avoid him for a week no problem. I am happy he is finally leaving. He is a nightmare from hell sometimes.

" I am happy this is our senior year. What do you guys want to do for graduation?" I asked them

I notice as they all seem to tense at my question. I tilt my head to the side, " Something wrong?" I asked worriedly

Liam makes a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes, " Yeah, we are fine. We can go to the movies after graduating. It would be a fun thing to do for the night."

" Yeah, that would be fun." I say happily and look at Dimitri and Lucia, " What about you guys? What movie should we see?" I asked them

" We would have to look up, what movies are playing at the theater on graduation night." Dimitri answers softly as the waitress walks over with are ice cream.

I got a banana split. While Liam got a banana shake, and Dimitri got a chocolate ice cream shake.

I laugh at the huge sunday Lucia ordered, " Are you going to be able to eat all that?" I asked him.

" I will be fine, You just worry about your banana split." Lucia says to me.

I roll my eyes and dig into my banana split happily.

Once I was done eating my banana spilt I stare at them.

" I am still mad at you guys for skipping. You promised you wouldn't skip school and you do it anyway." I say to them.

They promised this morning they wouldn't skip, but ended up ditching by second period after we just had the no skipping conversation.

" Something came up, that we had to go take care of." Dimitri says in response with a hint of an emotion I can't explain.

" Why do you have to skip school to do it? Why not after school? I want to graduate with you guys. We can't do that. If you guys always ditch." I tell them sternly.

" We will be able to graduate with you. Don't worry about it so much. You also don't need to stress about getting us our work assignments. When we aren't there. We can pick it up." Liam tells me trying to reassure me.

" Fine, I will try not to stress about it. As for the work assignments. I will still pick them up anyway." I tell them not up for debate.

Dimitri laughs, " Fine, little miss bossy." he says as he pays for the bill and stand up.

"Lets go shall we?" Dimitri says as he slides his chair back and stands up.

I slide my chair out, as I stand up. I push my chair in and help Liam gather up all the trash.

" I got it." Liam says as he carries it the trash bin and throws it away.

I follow Dimitri and Lucia out to the truck. We sit in a comfortable silence, before Dimitri cellphone starts ringing.

He pulls his phone out from his leather jacket pocket and looks at the caller ID before answering it.

" Yeah?"

" I'll be there in a moment. I have to drop Amara off first." Dimitri tells the person on the other end before hanging up.

" That your dad?" I ask him

Dimitri dad is a well respected man. He treats me like I am one of his children. He is really nice to me, but since Dimitri been really busy I haven't seen him in a while.

" Yeah, he needs me to do something for him. I will drop you off first." Dimitri says softly.

" Is he doing okay?" I asked him a little worried.

I hope he isn't sick or anything.

Dimitri smiles softly, " Yeah he is fine. We just been busy back at the house. Probably just needs help rearranging something." He says softly.

" So, your redecorating?" I asked him.

" Redecorating what?" Liam says claiming into the backseat with me.

" We are helping my dad redecorate. Remember?" Dimitri says to Liam as he stares at him instantly through the review mirror.

Liam had a confused looked on his face for a few minutes before nodding, " yeah! Right I completely forgot must have slipped my mind." He says with a nervous chuckle.

I stare at them not completely believing them. However even if I do ask for the truth. They aren't going to tell me.

" What took you so long?" I asked Liam

Liam looks at me, " I got the waitress phone number." He says with a grin on his face.

Unbelievable!

" She old enough to be your mom!" I say as Dimitri and Lucia laugh with me. Dimitri gives Liam a fistbump, before he starts the truck and began to drive.

The ride back to my house was fun. We talked and joked. I felt kinda sad when Dimitri pulled infront of my house.

" Drive safe and be careful!" I tell them as I open the door and hop out. I grabgrab my backpack out of the floorboard and shut the door.

I walk up to the driverside window, " Tell you dad I said hi for me."

Dimitri nods, " Yeah, I will tell him. Go get some sleep. I will see you tomorrow morning." He says softly

I nod and head up my driveway. I turn around and give them all a wave before heading inside.

As always Dimitri waits until I shut the door completely before driving away.

I smile to myself.

I really am lucky to have such great friends. I hope we are able to stay friends forever.
