Bella was completely exhausted, on the verge of passing out. She stayed curled up on the bed for a long, long time.

The doctors said it would be easier for her to conceive this way.

This continued for more nights than she could remember. Alpha Lucian Craig would show up at the Castle every night, regardless of how late he finished his work. He never missed a night.

Alpha Lucian's middle-aged driver, Carlos Finn, who followed him around, was Lisa’s husband. Both of them were experienced and wanted to give their young master advice. They believed they should take it slow, rushing things wouldn't be healthy!

She felt the urge to get up, to sit up and look outside the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of him. But deep down, she feared that what she saw would be a nightmare...

Bella held the early detection pregnancy test that finally displayed two deep red lines. She had anxiously waited for this positive result throughout the entire month. Apart from Lisa, she hadn't seen anyone else from the agreement, not even that man.

If she hadn't conceived in that month, she would have to repeat those activities with him at night, just like the previous month--

But now, she finally tested positive for pregnancy! What a relief!

"The boss agreed to your requests."

Bella nodded, feeling somewhat dazed as she thanked her.

Later that afternoon, back in her rented room, she called the hospital. "Hello, is this Dr. Joyce? Can you give me an update on my dad? How is he?"

"Don't worry," the doctor replied. "We received the funds, and we'll have a donor soon as well. We're already preparing for the surgery, it won't be long!"

"Thank you." Bella didn't know what else to say. She had earned the money and the donor by selling her body.

Should she feel happy?

Should she feel devastated?

Neither!

After she hung up, she lowered her head and collapsed on the table, staring into space by herself. After a while, tears soaked her lashes despite her efforts.

Taking a moment, she wiped away the tears with her palm.

Then she forced a smile. Her dad was saved. That was definitely something she could be grateful for.

Bella's belly was growing bigger.

Lisa was taking care of Bella's school leave.
