After having had a strangely restless sleep, and filled with nightmares, I had finally managed to fall asleep around two o'clock in the morning. But... my poor sleep was ruined again, when I felt a hot breath constantly falling in the crook of my neck. I gesticulated in place, my eyebrows slightly furrowed.
That warm breath continued to hit my skin as I decided to wake up from my sleep. I blinked several times in a row before I realized something was wrong. A masculine smell reigned in the room. Something was grabbing me around the waist. And... hair was rubbing against my neck, making me feel a little shivers.
Oh dear.
I let out a cry worthy of a savage, then moved in all directions, totally panicked. I then got up, grabbed one of my slippers and threw it right on his chest.
It was him. No doubt. He was there. In my bed. Shirtless. her disheveled brown hair. Her emerald eyes filled with sleep.
- But you are completely ill my poor boy! I shouted out of myself, hurrying to grab my silk robe.
- What is going on ? I just went back to my quarters, calm down, he said calmly, as if all this was obviously normal for him.
- How could you open my door! How dare you join me under the sheets! I exclaimed suddenly, furious.
Esteban began to stretch like a young kitten, his front muscles becoming more and more visible. He then got up from my bed and my cheeks took on a new color when I realized he was in his underwear.
- But get dressed! I cried immediately, turning around so as not to see more.
Footsteps were heard, coming closer and closer to me. In a split second, I felt warm lips crash against my forehead.
- I'm going to take a shower. See you later, Ruby,” he said hoarsely, sending shivers down my spine.
I couldn't believe it. He had placed his lips on my forehead...
A door slammed a few minutes later, as I gently moved my hands away from my eyes. He left to shower in my shower, in my bathroom. That means... oh no. I hastened to go to my closet and it was not my surprise to see as if by chance all her clothes carefully folded and stored on the various shelves.
A small note was also placed on one of the t-shirts and I immediately grabbed it.
"Please don't throw them away from now on. And Miss Ruby, I wanted to tell you that curiosity is a bad thing."
What ? Curiosity is a bad thing ? Why does he tell me... oh my. Oh thin and thin. I turned around abruptly, then strode towards my computer. The screen was still on.
And of course, the page was still there... And I hadn't installed any code on my computer.
I can admit that I felt terribly bad at that precise moment. I would have reacted very badly, personally, if I had seen that. That one searches on my life, I would not have liked, I can admit it. And the worst part was that the topic didn't come at all to help me feel comfortable.
But. It's strange... Yet he saw that and I'm still alive. I mean, he didn't suffocate me during my sleep, or anything else... No, on the contrary, his character hadn't changed since yesterday. Calm, teasing, playful, serious.
I would have been very upset and embarrassed to know that we had just learned this horrible thing about my past... And my impulsiveness would not have helped me to stay calm, far from it...
I let out a deep sigh, before leaving to get some clothes and go to my bathroom. I immediately opened the door, before suddenly dropping my things, along with a cry.
Well done Ruby. Intelligence, memory. I had forgotten. He was in the bathroom.
And... naked.
- Hide ! I shouted directly, my heart immediately racing.
- Oh, you wanted to join me Ruby? There's enough room for two, you know, he said quietly, as I immediately fell apart behind my hands.
– Get dressed! I shouted again, very very embarrassed by this situation.
- I'm dressing up. You can open your eyes now, he said later, as I slowly freed my hands from my face.
My heart skipped two beats. Then four. He had put on pants, yes, but no top. I was deeply shocked by what I saw in front of me. No, it wasn't because of his imposing stature, nor his pretty muscles, but... his back. I hadn't been paying attention thirty seconds ago but...
His back was scarred. By scratches, by scars. Long ones, short ones. Some deep, some light. Nevertheless, all these scars did mark his skin. His back. There were a lot of them. Enormously...
I broke down even more, suddenly torn by various emotions. Esteban silently put on his t-shirt, but I noticed that his gaze hadn't left me throughout.
“Now you know everything, you've seen everything,” he said in a particularly calm voice, before I swallowed.
He then proceeded to grab his black shirt and button it up. During this time I remained stoic, in front of him, much too shocked by what I had just seen. They looked so deep...
- It's horrible... I muttered softly, lowering my head.
A silence settled immediately in the room, before I heard footsteps approaching me. A gentle hand rested on my right cheek. His thumb began to gently rub my skin.
"Don't make that face, Ruby," he whispered against my hair, as I felt my throat burn.
- I'm fine, my mother too, he whispered to me, before brushing my forehead with his lips.
"A babysitter doesn't have to make his clients cry, does he, Ruby..." he continued, beginning to stroke my back.
– I don't need a babysitter. I'm not your client, I grumbled against his shirt, letting my grumpy side come back.
– I prefer to see this little angry and grumpy side. Come on Ruby, stop making that face and give me your pretty smile, please.
- Yes... I abdicated in a weak voice.
