One Night Stand with Mr CEO

Reina took one last look in the mirror today she has an interview at Berninia for women,a week ago they had placed an ad online about a seamstress for their bridal department. She hadn't even known about it Cathy her best friend had told her and helped her apply for it she loves stitching and sewing for as long as she can remember if today she can get this job it would be amazing not only would she be doing what she loves most but she would also be getting her dream job.

It's down to the last two candidates herself and another woman named Elizabeth,today they have to bring five bridal gowns with the complete sketches.They had been given only three days for it and Reina has worked through day and night to get it done she's tired and exhausted and a bed sounds really good right now but it's only a matter of a few hours then she can rest,all she hopes for now is that all the hard work and long hours pays off today.

She really needs the job especially for financial reasons,their house is gonna get repossessed soon the bank has given them only a month to settle some of the debt or they have to vacate if they don't make payments soon.When her dad had passed away a few months ago she and her mother had learned that her father owes the bank a considerable amount of money which they couldn't pay and now they want to take the only home she knows and grew up in.

Even if she does manages to get the job one thing was for certain she'll have to work for the rest of her life to pay off the debt,her mom has been under a lot of strain these past couple of months and Reina hates to see her mom in the condition that she was in.She takes her glasses from the nightstand and put it on she loves her glasses she can see without them but prefers them since everything is more clearer and she works better with them on.

Today she's wearing a dress that her best friend had borrowed her it's black and falls above her knees it sat a bit loose on her since she has lost weight and besides Cathy is a size bigger than her.Her hair is made up in a ponytail ontop of her head as for her face she only put on face cream and a little bit of pink gloss,on her feet is her usual shoe preference flat pumps.Taking her sketch book and her bag she left her room and went to the livingroom where her dresses were hanging on a rail she found her mother drinking a cup of tea and went to go and make instant coffee for herself.

"Morning mom."She said.

"Good morning my child."Her mother responded."I hope you are ready for today."

"Me too.I have to admit I am a bit nervous."She took her coffee and joined her mom.Reina noticed her mom has become frail her skin is more whiter and her face looks smaller like a child's she knows that things have been tough but hasn't realised the impact that it has taken on her mother.Even her long black hair isn't glowing and shining like it used to now it's dry and dull and covering her whole face putting her coffee down she went over to her and took her mother's hands in her own.

"Mom we are gonna be okay there's absolutely nothing to worry or stress about we'll make it through this I promise you that."She reassured her.

"How could your father do this to us.How could he leave us with such a big mess,how on earth are we gonna pay back the money they'll be taking the house and that still isn't gonna be enough we'll be on the streets with nothing sweetie and here I am not able to do anything what kind of a mother am I."Reina hated seeing her mother break down like this and it hurts even more that she can't do anything to make this go away.

"We are gonna be okay and regardless of what anyone says you're a damn good mother and I love you dearly.We won't be losing the house or anything else this is where I grew up and the only home I know so I won't let anyone take it away." She hugged her mom."Promise me from now on mom won't stress about this anymore I want mom to take care of mom and leave everything to me I'll do my best."

"I don't wanna burden you Reina especially now with this new job and-...."

"You not doing that mom it's my job to take care of you too and I will."She said interrupting her mother.Just then a knock sounded on the door."That must be Cathy she's giving me a ride because of the dresses let me go and check."When she reached the door and opened it,it was Cathy.

"Morning.I was wondering where you were I have to be there in fifteen minutes you're late what happened?You're never late."She asked her friend.Cathy pushed past her and went straight in.

"I'll tell you later can we go now before you gonna get fired without being hired."She turned towards Reina's mom."Good morning Mrs Cruise I hope all is well."

"It is my dear.How is the family?"She asked.

"They are okay and well."She replied.

"That's good send my regards and take care of my daughter."

"Of course I will Mrs Cruise we gotta leave now but I promise we will have coffee soon."Cathy went over and gave her a hug and kiss.Afterwards she went over to the clothing rail and took two dresses."I'll meet you in the car."Cathy told her.She nodded and took the remaining dresses along with her sketch book and bag at the door she turned around and looked at her mother.

"Bye mom see you soon and please go and rest for a while I'll be back before mom knows it."

"Good luck sweetie and remember I love you."

"Love you too mom."With that she left.The drive down town to the strip was quiet Cathy wasn't her usual chirpy self that's how she knew that something was wrong with her not wanting to probe she kept quiet.She'll wait until Cathy was ready to talk.

"Are you gonna need my help to carry those.?"Cathy asked.

"Nope I'll manage looks like you've got alot on your mind I've bothered you enough,thanks for the ride though."

"How about lunch later."Cathy suggested."I'll call you."

"Sure as long as you not bringing your foul mood along."Reina pointed to her face making a round gesture with her forefinger.

"Sorry friend...it's just...can we talk about it later on."Cathy said.Reina nodded at her and got out of the car they were parked outside the mall and she was gonna have to make the short walk to the boutique.Gowns in hand she left."All the best Reina I know you already have the job."Reina mouthed a thanks to Cathy and left.Three hours later she was the happiest woman ever she got the job and was starting on Monday morning.
