Chapter 2; Black door
EMMA
We walked in silence until the last of the club noise faded behind us. His hand stayed at the small of my back the entire time.
My heels clicked against the dark floor. Every step sent another pulse of nerves and want through me.
He stopped at a plain black door with no number. He entered a quick code on the keypad, heard a soft click, and pushed it open, stepping aside so I could enter first.
The room was larger than I expected, with deliberate spacing. He shut the door. The lock engaged with a quiet finality that made my stomach flip. Then he moved to a panel on the wall, dimmed the lights to a warm amber glow, and started music with slow, low, all-velvet bass and breathy notes that seemed to stroke the skin.
I stood near the foot of the bed, arms loosely crossed, watching him because looking anywhere else felt impossible.
He faced me and began to undress without hurry. First the tie, pulled free in one smooth motion and dropped onto the chair. Then the buttons of his shirt, one by one, revealing the hard lines of his chest and stomach. He shrugged the shirt off and let it fall. Bare from the waist up, he sat in the leather chair, legs spread just enough, and looked straight at me.
“Strip.”
The single word landed low in my stomach. For a second I couldn’t move. Everything that had felt bold out on the floor suddenly felt very real inside this quiet room. My fingers hovered at the zipper of my dress and stayed there. Doubt crept in fast: what the hell was I doing, following a stranger into a private room on a Monday night just because my mother had decided to remarry and I couldn’t stand the thought of going home.
He stood immediately. I braced myself for irritation or a sharper command. Instead, he walked toward me slowly and stopped close enough that I could feel the heat of his bare skin. His voice dropped lower, almost gentle.
“Look at me.”
I did.
“Are you okay?” he asked. “Do you want to stop?” He waited a full breath. “Your safe word is red. You say it, and everything ends. No questions, no anger. You’re in control of that. Always. Do you understand?”
The unexpected care undid something tight in my chest. The panic that had started rising eased back down. I nodded, then found my voice.
“I’m okay. I want this.”
A faint, approving curve touched the corner of his mouth. He stepped back to the chair and sat again, waiting.
I reached for the zipper with steadier hands. I drew it down slowly, feeling the dress loosen around me, then slipped the straps from my shoulders and let the fabric fall to the floor. Completely bare under the warm light, I felt every inch of air on my skin and the weight of his attention like a physical thing.
I walked to him and sank to my knees between his thighs. My hands went to his belt. The leather was warm from his body. I loosened it, opened the button and zipper, and drew him out. He was already hard, thick, the head flushed. I wrapped my fingers around the base and took him into my mouth.
A low sound left his throat. His hand settled in my hair, guiding the pace with subtle pressure. I hollowed my cheeks and took him deeper, tasting salt and heat. He controlled the rhythm, pulling me down farther when he wanted, easing me back when I needed air. The wet sounds of it mixed with the music. My eyes watered. I looked up once and found him watching me with an intensity that made my stomach flip.
“Fuck,” he breathed. “You look so pretty like this.”
He let it go on until my lips felt swollen and my knees protested against the floor. Then he stood, hauled me up by the arms as if I weighed nothing, and carried me the short distance to the bed. He laid me down on the black sheets and reached for the cabinet against the wall.
Soft leather cuffs lined with something smooth closed around my wrists and fastened to the headboard above me. Tight enough to hold, not tight enough to hurt. Next came a blindfold. Darkness closed over my eyes, and every other sense sharpened.
“Colour?” he asked.
“Green.”
Something cool and smooth traced down the centre of my chest. It circled one nipple, then the other, before sliding lower. When it pressed between my legs, I gasped—a vibrator.
He rubbed it slowly over my clit, coating it in how wet I already was, and pushed it inside me in one steady stroke. He left it there on a pulsing rhythm while his mouth closed over my breast, sucking hard enough to make me arch.
“You feel that?” he murmured against my skin. “How wet you are for me already?”
I could only nod, breath catching.
His hand came down on the inside of my thigh, the sting blooming into heat that travelled straight to where the toy was working. Another on the other thigh. Then higher, against the curve of my ass when he rolled me slightly. Each one made my walls clench around the vibrator. He built the force gradually, the sound of skin on skin cutting through the music, until I was panting and twisting against the cuffs.
“Please…”
“I know,” he said, voice rough. “I’ve got you.”
His hand returned to my throat.
Fingers pressing just enough to narrow my airway while the vibrator kept pulsing deeper. Not being able to breathe made every throb of the toy feel enormous. My hips jerked. A broken sound tore out of me. He released the pressure the second my body tensed too hard, let me drag in air, then applied it again, teaching me the rhythm without a single wasted word.
“Come for me,” he said against my ear. “Let me feel it.”
I came hard, back arching, a raw cry leaving my mouth as the orgasm ripped through me. He didn’t stop. He removed the vibrator, replaced it with two thick fingers, and curled them against the place that made white light explode behind the blindfold. A second climax crashed over the first before I had even finished shaking.
Only then did he free my wrists and pull the silk from my eyes. The amber light felt almost too bright. He shoved his trousers down, kicked them away, and settled between my thighs. No more toys. Just him.
He pushed into me in one long, deep thrust that forced another cry from my throat. The stretch burned in the best way. He didn’t give me time to adjust. He set a hard pace, hips snapping, the wet sound of skin meeting skin filling the room. One hand pinned both my wrists above my head. The other gripped my hip hard enough that I knew I would bruise.
“Look at me,” he ordered.
I did. His eyes were dark, focused entirely on my face as he drove into me again and again.
“You take me so well,” he said, voice rough. “So fucking well.”
Every stroke dragged against the places the toys had already woken up. I came a third time with my legs locked around him, walls clamping down so tightly that he groaned low in his chest. He pulled out before his own release, stroked himself twice, and came across my stomach and the undersides of my breasts in thick, hot ropes. The heat of it, the possessive mark of it, sent one last weak shudder through me.
For a long moment neither of us moved. My lungs were still trying to remember how to work. Then he left the bed, disappeared into an attached bathroom, and came back with a warm, damp cloth. He cleaned me with careful, thorough strokes, his touch gentler than anything that had come before. When he finished, he helped me sit up enough to drink from a bottle of water he pressed to my lips.
“Small sips,” he murmured.
My body felt heavy and liquid and used in a way that somehow didn’t feel empty. Marks were already rising on my thighs and hips. My wrists bore faint red circles from the cuffs. I should have felt exposed or ashamed instead; a deep, bone-level calm spread through me.
He eased me back down, drew the sheet over my cooling skin, and leaned in. The last thing I felt was the brief, almost tender press of his mouth against my cheek.
“Sleep,” he said softly. “I’ll be back.”
Then the door closed behind him.
I lay in the warm dark, body aching and satisfied, mind finally empty of kitchens and wedding dates and the hollow space my mother’s announcement had left behind.
