Chapter 5
When Sebastian seeks Carol's help in changing his medication at night, Carol begins to give him a hard time.
"You're a big man, can't you even do this little thing?"
"And you want me to change your medicine, what am I to you?" Carol beamed.
She had expected Sebastian to hear this and immediately coax her to the tip of his heart like ice melting.
After all, that's how her favorite novel was written.
Guys can't stand it when girls lose their temper.
Sebastian's face twitched a few times, and his face sank right down.
His fists clenched and unclenched several times before he finally picked up the ointment and headed back to the guest room.
Carol waited half a day and finally realized something was wrong.
Turning back incredulously, she didn't see Sebastian, who loved her to death, only me, leaning against the doorway, full of scorn.
"When did you get out? " Carol blushed red with embarrassment.
"Like I said, you keep using these commonplace methods, it's only going to hasten his disgust with you."
"Unlike my previous classmate, who made a rich kid die in a few days."
I'll point it out and say no more.
Carol is getting antsy.
She tugged at my wrist, her eyes thirsty, "Tell me more carefully."
When I never responded, she busily added, "You tell me how she did it and I'll pay for your next chemo treatment."
When I found out about leukemia and learned the truth, I approached Carol for money for chemotherapy, but she refused to hand over a single penny of the inheritance left by my parents.
Now, in order to hook up with a man, she's being generous.
I curled my lips and took Carol's hand, "Okay, I'll tell you."
Two hours later, Carol walked out of my room with high aspirations.
"Sis, when is my chemo bill going to hit me?" I asked aloud, not forgetting the point.
Carol's form lurched and stiffly twisted her head as she replied, "I haven't had any money in my hand lately, so I'll call you back with the money after a while."
"When did you become such a lover of money?" Carol has a habit of throwing dirt on me.
The thought of what was about to happen tomorrow dissuaded me from bothering with her.
