Summary

Their paths crossed again at her boyfriend's party. What started as a wild, absurd one-night stand had left them both unwilling to surrender to their desires. This is the game of adult love—once you’re in, there’s no turning back.

Chapter 001 - I Cheated on My Boyfriend

"5306."

Evie Campbell sent the room number out, but not to her boyfriend, Cassius Bailey.

The idea was decided half an hour after finding out he was cheating on her.

At the time, the woman's foot was ambiguously roaming around his leg as they played exciting adult games.

People who cheat in love think they're masters at hiding it well.

When the doorbell rang, Evie Campbell snapped out of it and gathered up her sexy bathrobe - a "birthday present wrapped" that Cassius Bailey was supposed to unwrap himself.

The moment the door opened, a man swept Evie Campbell into his arms, and before she could get a good look at him, she was almost breathless from the kiss he was giving her.

As far as she could see, all she could see was a pair of eyes with a hint of lust at the end, and it wasn't until the tip of his nose rolled over hers that she saw him clearly - Lachlan Hopkins.

Lachlan Hopkins didn't give the woman in his arms a chance to react, though, after getting a good look at the sexy thong she wore underneath her bathrobe, along with a piece of bra that was so light it looked like it wasn't covering her.

The man's breathing became rapid, his arms hard, and Evie Campbell had been straddled by Lachlan Hopkins around her waist against the floor-to-ceiling mirror by the door.

He smelled of cold wood-toned perfume, and after a moment of stunned relief, Evie Campbell closed her eyes and let herself sink.

Perhaps it was her initiative that had ignited Lachlan Hopkins, who was passionately different from the man he remembered.

What Evie Campbell didn't know was that the elevator doors had just slammed and Cassius Bailey had walked up to the door to see just that.

Lachlan Hopkins held her hands above her head with one hand, ruffled her hair with the other, and with his entire body in the way of Evie Campbell, turned his head and smiled wickedly at Cassius Bailey as he angrily prepared to storm in.

Cassius Bailey's face instantly turns white as Lachlan Hopkins kicks in with his long legs and the door slams shut completely in effect.

It was thought that Cassius Bailey would never forget that scene just now in her next life, but it didn't matter, who cared.

"First time?" Lachlan Hopkins' voice rang out in the darkness.

Evie Campbell didn't answer, but he was moving much more gently, not as fervently as he had at first.

Expecting him to enter her right away, he didn't realize he was only removing her shapeless underwear before his lips lingered on her neck.

His fingers stirred the small hole that had become moist, eliciting a shiver down Evie Campbell's spine, all of Evie Campbell's nervousness soothed by his pure and gentle technique.

After the man grunted and fully entered that wet swamp, all she felt was an ache that seemed to split her body apart, and she was preyed upon as if she had no control over the rhythm.

She felt like she was riding completely naked on the back of a horse, with only endless gallops and lurches that consumed all her strength.

All Evie Campbell could remember for the second half of the ride was hanging on to Lachlan Hopkins for almost the entire ride.

Inexplicably, she remembered how someone else at a previous party had said that Lachlan Hopkins, with that body, looked like someone who was exceptionally good in bed.

She figured she could show up next time, too.

4:30 AM.

The phone was plugged into the charger before she saw the 30 missed calls in it, all from unfamiliar numbers.

Evie Campbell had no interest in calling back, having guessed that it was probably Cassius Bailey calling from someone else's cell phone after he found out his contact information had been deleted.

The sky outside the window was still gray, and she woke up to find herself alone in the bed, figuring that Lachlan Hopkins was gone.

The clothes that had been scattered on the floor had been placed on the couch and the air conditioner adjusted to the most comfortable temperature.

She lifted the covers and sat up, thinking that everyone had been a little too shallow about Lachlan Hopkins before, at least the times she had been there last night, it had been quite a pleasurable, extraordinary experience.

She didn't intend to stay in this place much longer though, she had originally come over with Cassius Bailey for her birthday, and now that it was over, it would be better to waste time here than to go back to the office and work overtime.

At least the latter would make her boss happy, the former was a pain in the ass.

Evie Campbell never intended to shortchange herself on that score, and she was picking through her suitcase of clothes when the bathroom door opened.

Lachlan Hopkins hadn't expected to get out of the shower and see nice perks either.

Last night this woman's body is very good, although thin, but breasts and hips are plump, her slightly curly long hair reflects the more white skin, perhaps a sound love affair has just finished, she still has a light pink color on her body.

A living color, like a banshee.

That's how Lachlan Hopkins felt.

Evie Campbell's form paused for just a moment, but quickly responded, and her eyes sized up Lachlan Hopkins.

After all, before this, Lachlan Hopkins gave her the stereotype of being self-disciplined, introverted, and aloof, and last night she saw the other side.

Lachlan Hopkins didn't run away from her gaze, and was open to her critical inspection.

The water droplets that hadn't yet dried rolled down the inside of his towel along his muscular silhouette, and in the dim light, Evie Campbell inexplicably wanted to blow a rogue whistle.

"Mr. Hopkins," it was only upon opening her mouth that she realized how hoarse her throat was.

There was a soft chuckle, obviously coming from the man.

The situation at hand was clearly not suitable for mutual pleasantries, and Evie Campbell said to herself, "I don't think it's very appropriate for you to be staring at me like that."

After all, he had a towel covering his body and she only had long hair.

And that really wasn't a good look.

"Would you mind, again?"

Evie Campbell:?

She stiffened and rolled her neck, thinking in a trance that she'd misheard him.

"Snap." The last of the lights in the room were extinguished as the man scooped her up and Evie Campbell subconsciously wrapped her arms around his neck.

It was only when she was in a state of confusion that she heard him whisper in her ear, "Sorry, a little food for thought."
