Chapter 4

Anna POV

I entered the bedroom and spent some time lying on the bed.

After some time, I made an appointment over the phone at a clinic for today.

After that, I considered sleeping for a while because I didn't have anything else planned. That sounds promising.

I had been having some random thoughts. As in, "What am I going to say to the doctor?"

It's going to be an awkward conversation. That was the last thing on my mind before I succumbed to the darkness.

I awoke when I heard a noise around me. It was a woman in her mid-40s when I opened my eyes to see her.

I smiled at her, but she didn't return my smile. My smile faded as I sighed and sat up, asking her, "Who are you?"

"I am the housemaid in charge. It's lunchtime. "What do you want to eat for lunch?" she asked coldly. 

"You can make anything. umm" I paused because she didn't mention her name.

"Maria," she said.

"Whatever you want to make, Maria, I am not picky "I informed her

She simply left the room without saying anything. I glanced at the clock. It was 12 p.m. I can't believe I got 4 hours of sleep.

I need to get ready quickly, or I'll be late for my appointment. I only have an hour to get there.

I dashed to the bathroom and washed my face before concealing the bruises on my neck with concealer.

I went to the bathroom to see if I was still bleeding. I sighed; the bleeding had subsided since this morning, but it was still present.

I walked from the bathroom to the bedroom after changing the pad.

I took a purse from the closet, put the card and all necessary items inside, and walked out of the room.

When I entered the dining room, I saw that my lunch was ready, and Maria was the one who had served me.

With a smile, I said "thank you, Maria" as I took a seat at the table.

She walked away without saying anything. I shook my head and began to eat my food.

I haven't had a full lunch in a long time. When I tasted the dish, however, I forgot all about that thought because it was so salty.

I kept my mouth shut and tried to finish the food because wasting it was not in my nature.

However, after three spoons, I returned the spoon to the plate. I didn't want to have high blood pressure.

Why did she act in that way? What if she made a mistake? She's a human too, so I can't hold that against her.

I took that plate and went into the kitchen, where I found her eating her lunch.

"It's loaded with salt, Maria. I couldn't finish it." I said, but she remained silent.

"I'm leaving," I said.

She asked me a question just as I turned to leave, which caused me to stop in my tracks.

"Have you sought permission from Sir?"

"I already have Maria. Don't worry "I told her with a smile.

I exited the kitchen and entered the living room.

I grabbed my bag and left the house. The driver was standing next to a car and noticed me right away.

He stood up and said, "Ma'am, sir told me to take you anywhere you want."

He was likely in his early forties. I smiled at him and examined the name tag on his shirt.

"All right, Mr. Wilson," I said as I sat in the car.

"You can call me John ma'am," he said after settling into the driver's seat.

"You're older than me, Mr. Wilson, so you deserve my respect," I said, looking out the window.

The remainder of the journey was spent in silence. We arrived at the clinic in less than a half hour.

When I entered the clinic by myself, everyone turned to look at me.

I paid no attention to anyone. I went directly to reception and inquired about my appointment.

She instructed me to wait while the doctor attended to a patient.

Uncomfortably, I sat down on the sofa. I'm hoping my problem isn't too serious.

After about ten minutes, the receptionist directed me inside.

I entered and saw the doctor sitting in her chair, smiling at me. As soon as she told me, I hesitantly took a seat.

"My name is Doctor Rose Williams. I'll be your doctor." With a wide smile, she told me.

She is a lovely lady. She's in her early forties. She was probably smiling to calm my nerves.

"Greetings, Dr. Williams. My name is Anastasia Miller. I'll go by Anna, though." I said nervously.

"So, Anna, tell me what happened," she said politely.

I was hesitant, so she continued "No need to worry, Anna. You are free to inform me. I'm your doctor."

I took a deep breath and began "I'm bleeding down there. Actually, I just got married yesterday. Since last night, the bleeding has not stopped. It hurts so much."

She instructed me to lay down on the bed so she could examine me. I sat on the bed after removing my panties as she instructed.

I inhaled deeply and gasped when I felt her putting something in.

She told me to put on clothes after checking for a while.

She explained to me that there was only a small tear in my vaginal canal as we sat on the chairs once more.

She gave me some medications and creams to use.

"And keep in mind that you shouldn't engage in sexual activity for at least 3 to 4 days after that." She stated

I reportedly nodded and thanked her. 

She said, "And you can talk to me you know if you want to," just as I was about to leave her cabin.

I thanked her once more for her offer and left.
