A Harmless Sin
I immediately took a shower and then stepped in front of the standing mirror to observe something that actually confirmed my suspicions. I was looking different; I looked new and refreshed.
It was the weekend, and Roman wouldn't be going to school, nor would Sky. But I soon discovered Sky had a call earlier and had to go to his house early. I needed to reach him. I needed to sort things out with him before things took a different turn.
I tiptoed toward Roman's room because I was trying to think of how to reach Sky and then remembered that Sky was a friend of Roman's. "So the plan is to sneak into Roman's room, get his phone, collect Sky's number, and do the needful," I whispered to myself, feeling like a spy.
Upon reaching Roman's room, I slowly opened the door and sneaked inside. Hopefully, Roman was in the kitchen dishing out his breakfast. I saw his phone on top of his bed. "I pray I still remember his password," I thought silently as I picked up the phone, and surprisingly, it opened.
After collecting the number, I put the phone back the way I found it and left quietly, unnoticed. Immediately, I reached my room, I dialed the number, and Sky picked up right away.
"Hello?"
"Yeah, hi. Am I speaking to Sky?" I asked expectantly.
"Uh, yeah," he said hesitantly.
"Oh, thank God. It's Lilith. Remember... yeah... is it possible that we'll be able to meet today? ...Oh, that's good. How about at the coffee shop down the road? ...Yeah, in 5 minutes' time. ...Alright, see you." I immediately got off the phone and made my way to the kitchen to grab an apple before leaving.
I quickly grabbed an apple and then told Roman, who was still munching on his breakfast, goodbye, and shut the door behind me.
I reached the coffee shop two minutes before the scheduled time, so while waiting for Sky, I ordered a cup of coffee and a plate of cookies, as I felt my stomach rumbling due to the fact that I rushed all the way here without taking a proper breakfast.
The order was brought to my table, but despite how hungry I was, I took only a sip of my coffee and picked at my cookies, suddenly remembering why my husband didn’t come home that night.
'Maybe the emergency they had was serious; he couldn't text this morning,' I thought to myself, feeling a bit of sadness and pity for Zane. I just prayed that nobody finds out about what happened yesterday, but God, I can't forget what happened the previous night—how Sky handled me with each thrust, more graceful than the other; how his firm, masculine hands caressed my breasts. While daydreaming, I heard the shop bell at the front ring, and in came Sky. He spotted me from afar and walked toward my direction.
"Hi, good morning. Thank you for coming," I said, offering him a seat.
"Thank you. So, you said you have something to say?" Sky asked.
"Yeah, let me just make this short. About what happened yesterday, can I trust that you would keep it between us? Can you just pretend that nothing happened?" I said, not knowing what else to say.
"Hmmm, really"
"Yes, and don't look at me that way, I am not like that, I just let my stupid emotions took over me" I said, I can't look him in the face.
"well...well..well" he paused.
"Can you look me in the face? I need to feel connected to you right now" he said in his lustful tone. The same one he used yesterday to seduce me.
"Last night was certainly the best I've had. Keeping it between us will not benefit just you, but me as well. I have no intention of letting it out. However, I can't say I won't want to do it with you again. We have crossed a line, and I won't agree this would be our first and last," he said with a smirk, but he obliged anyway.
I looked at him puzzled. This was not how I thought it would go. It went rather easily. However, about doing it again... I stared at him. I had to admit I didn't mind doing it again, but I can't think about that now.
"I believe that's all..." He felt his phone ringing in his pocket. "Excuse me... hello? ...Okay... I'll be there." (cut) "I'm sorry, but I have to go," Sky said as he took his leave.
"It's alright then, bye," I said, feeling somewhat relieved but still worried. For now, I could be sure that no one would find out what happened. I was pulled out of my thoughts when a call came in from Ruth.
"Hey, Ruth... I'm good, you? ...A check-up? ...Alright, text me the hospital address. ...Yeah, alright, see you soon." I immediately took a sip of the coffee, dropped a tip, and left.
Upon reaching the hospital, I entered and saw Ruth in the waiting room. It wasn't her time for the appointment. I immediately walked toward her. Upon reaching her, I hugged Ruth and sat beside her.
"Where have you been? I've been waiting for hours!" Ruth and I are about the same age, in our early 30s, but we have two different yet similar outlooks. Ruth wasn't all that enthusiastic about marriage and preferred to stick to one-night stands, but I got married for love, and now I'm not so sure if it would last long if I were to slip up. I do love Zane, but I can't deny that I feel deprived. How to tell Ruth about this is something I'll sort out soon.
"I'm so sorry. I had to drop by to pick something up. Uhm, can you give me a minute? I'll be right back." Right now, it felt like my bladder was going to burst at any minute. (Barging into the toilet) "Oh my God, I'm so sorry!"
"Huh?" the guy said, accidentally turning the tap upwards. The water poured on him, causing his shirt to hug his body, giving me a clear yet covered version of his chest.
"What the hell!" Damn, he cursed under his breath. Our eyes met; his hair was dripping with water. What the fuck? How could someone look so hot? I thought...
