Chapter 2: Wet dreams

"Really?" Rhea exclaimed on the other side of the video call.

"Yes, really! I... I don't know what to do. It's driving me nuts," Morticia complained.

"Can't you just tell him? You've been crushing on him since you were twelve." This wouldn't be the first time Rhea urged her to confess her feelings to Klaus.

"For the millionth time, it's impossible. He doesn't see me that way; he's way out of my league. Vincent would go crazy once he finds out I think of his Bestfriend like that... I'll just try to bury these feelings," the words felt like a lie on Morticia's lips. Her heart had a mind of its own around that demigod.

"Oh yeah? And how long have you been trying to kill those feelings?"

"I don't know... I guess I'll just keep trying," she mumbled. "I hope you're okay. You know we... plan to..."

"No, it's fine. Washington is way better than here. I knew your mother wouldn't agree to send you to a low-tier school," Rhea said. "But the good part is... you're at the same college as your childhood crush!" Rhea giggled.

"Stop, or I swear I'll kill you."

[CASINO]

A man glanced over his opponent, a smile on his face as he played his card.

"I won... Hahaha," he laughed out loud and reached to take the money on the table, but a hand stopped him.

"You cheated, didn't you? How come you've been winning the whole time, James?" his opponent asked, and James slapped the hand away.

"Why would I cheat? If I did, you would've noticed."

His opponent sighed, having no choice but to let him take the money.

James headed to the bar to celebrate his victory, his hand reaching into his pocket and drawing out several cards. He recalled how he was almost caught.

"That could have been bad," he mumbled and raised his glass to drink, but his phone beeped, displaying a message.

Opening it, his eyes widened, and his heart skipped a beat.

~Klaus is in town, better run.~

A figure took a seat beside him, grabbing his drink. Shifting his gaze to the side, a chill ran down his spine.

"What's up, James?" Klaus greeted, taking a sip of the beer.

"Shit!" James cursed and immediately stood to run but bumped into a hard chest. His eyes met familiar grey ones-another devil, Vincent.

"Oh God."

In a dark alley, James's body collided with the wall, his backbone nearly breaking. Like a small fountain, blood spilled from his lips as he crumbled to the cold, dirty floor.

"Where is it?" Vincent asked, his voice icy.

"I... don't know. I don't fucking know!" James trembled, struggling to catch his breath.

Klaus swept his dark hair back, a sign he was about to lose his temper.

"I'd advise you to get this over with. I just got back from a trip, and I haven't fucked yet, so just spill the goddamn truth," Klaus growled.

"I... I can't."

A swift kick landed on his face, courtesy of Vincent. Klaus crouched and grabbed James by the hair, yanking it back. A cry tore out from his lips.

"You want it the hard way? Alright, I'll grant your request," Klaus said, slamming James's head hard on the ground.

After they got the information they wanted, they headed to a club-a dimly lit room with slow music booming all around. The smell of alcohol, sex filled the room as Scantily dressed women danced and ground against men, most engaging in intimate activities.

"Hey, Klaus. Vincent," a purple-haired woman approached them. Only her nipples and pussy were covered. She winked at Vincent, who averted his gaze.

"Where's Simon?" Klaus asked.

"How about I satisfy you first? It's been a long time, you know," she whispered, reaching out to touch him, but he caught her hand.

"Simon first."

One thing about Klaus: when he got serious, he hated distractions.

"Okay," she surrendered and led them into a private room. Inside, a man was seated with three girls pleasing him, his aura menacing.

Klaus handed a small recorder to one of Simon's men in the room.

"Klaus! Fuck, I missed you both," Simon said, puffing out smoke. "Come, take any bitch you want, like you used to. Dimitri, your favorite, is available too. She missed you."

"We need to talk," Klaus said, his gaze serious.

"That serious?" Simon asked, shifting his gaze to Vincent, who wore the same expression as Klaus. He waved his hand, dismissing the women with him.

When the room was cleared, Simon gave a cue for them to speak.

"We want to quit," Klaus said firmly.

The room remained silent and tense for a while before Simon broke it with laughter.

"Quit? Are you fucking serious?"

"Yes. We've done enough," Vincent added, and Simon's face grew cold.

"Oh," a vein bulged on Simon's jaw as he slowly stood. His gaze shifted to one of his men, signaling them.

Immediately, they all drew guns and pointed them at Klaus and Alex, who shot a glare at Simon.

"Quit my ass. If you're no longer working for me, it means you've chosen death."

"Are you fucking serious? A year had been over" Vincent snapped and one of the men pressed his gun on the side of his head.

Klaus almost exploded at the sight, but Simon's voice caught his attention.

"No one quit unless I free them. Since you both are my best men, I'll let this slide once... Do not ever bring such a topic again or I'll feed the ground with your brains"

"Fuck!" Vincent exclaimed in the car as they drove back to Vincent's home.

"Easy, we'll find a way out"

"A way out? I thought all of these would be over once you are back. I can't do these shitty things no more. Fuck Simon"

Morticia pressed on her sewing machine gently, working on the dress she'd recently designed. Pictures of various dress sketches were plastered on her wall...

"Perfect," she mumbled. Her eyes shifted to the wall clock. It was late already, and Klaus and Vincent hadn't returned yet. They'd been out since morning.

She had eaten dinner only with her mother, who kept rambling about her next photoshoot.

She planned to take a stroll around the college tomorrow and meet new friends since the college is not far from their home; at least here, no one knew her as Vincent's little nerdy sister.

A smile spread across her lips as she prepared to sleep.

In the middle of the night, Morticia woke up due to a midnight craving for a bowl of ice cream. Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she headed to the fridge not noticing the figure in her way.

Her head bumped into his chest. Thinking it was her brother, she wanted to yell,

"Vin..." but stopped when she realized it was Klaus.

Her cheeks burned, not because of his presence, but because he wasn't wearing a shirt. His hard, toned, inked body was bare to her gaze. She barely reach his shoulder, his huge frame overshadowing hers.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

All Morticia could hear was her racing heartbeat.

"Bunnie?" he called out, but his voice didn't seem to reach her.

In the dark, Klaus leaned down, staring at her stunned, red face. Was she sleepwalking?

He ruffled her hair. "Bunnie?"

Morticia snapped out of her trance. "Huh?"

"What are you doing down here? What do you want?" he asked quietly, his face close. Her eyes settled on his lips, disarming her senses.

"To kiss you," she blurted out.

It was supposed to be a thought, but the words had slipped out. It was too late... he heard it.

"What?" His brow furrowed. Oh no, Morticia, what have you done?!

"Don't tell me..." his voice thickened, as he lean closer. A sinister smirk formed on his lips as he asked,

"...Have you been having wet dreams about me, Bunnie?...."
