Chapter 6

My boyfriend Ben came over. My parents welcomed them in and made him breakfast. We had a nice breakfast with him then I and him went upstairs.

"Leave the door open" my father shouts.

"Okay," I said.

"I wanted to talk to you," I said.

"Okay what is it?" he said.

"Ben don't hate me when I tell you this, but I have to tell you because I don't think I can keep it from you anymore," I said as he looks confused.

Come on Alice, you can do this. I know we don't want to hurt him but keeping it from him will hurt him. You know how that feels. Don't do the same to him.

"What is it, Alice?" he said.

"I kissed someone," I said as I place my hand on his, but he removes it and stands up.

"Please say something," I said as I wiped my tears away.

"I'm sorry, I never meant for it to happen, it just did," I said as he looked at me and said nothing.

"Do you have feelings for him, do you know him?" he asked.

I stayed quiet.

"Answer me," he said in an angry tone.

"I do, and I do know him," I said as he covered his mouth.

I can see the angrier in his eyes, and I can see how he's sickened with me.

"I can't," he said as he left.

"You know what, we're done," he said as he left for good.

I slam my door and go to my bed.

I texted tiara telling her everything that happened.

Hours go by.

"Alice honey," my mom says as she comes into my room.

"It's dinner time, come eat," she said.

"I'm not hungry," I said as I wiped my tears away.

"What's wrong honey?" she asked.

"Nothing I'm okay mom, I just want to be alone, okay?" I said as I turned around.

"Is it that boyfriend is yours, what did he do? '' she said.

"Mom please, leave," I spoke.

"Did he cheat on you?" she asked.

"Fine I will come downstairs," I said as I went downstairs before her.

My parents both look at me like they are afraid to break me.

I play with my food until I stop when I get a message hoping it was him, but it was a tiara.

I told her everything when he left. She's texted me telling me she's on her way.

"Eat your food before you leave the table," my mom says.

"I will finish it later please," I said.

"Okay baby," my dad says as my mom looks angry.

I get up and get dressed and leave.

"Hey, where are we going," tiara says as I meet her walking in the house.

"Anywhere but here," I said as she smiled like she had a plan in mind.

"I know just the place," she said as we went to this empty building where I and my friends went to smoke and drink.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"I'm okay, you," I said.

"I'm fine, that really cute guy I liked, had a girlfriend all this time," she said in a sad tone.

I hug her.

"Men are assholes," I said as we cheered and smoke.

We are at the roof of the building. I get up and walk to the edge.

"Alice, be careful," she said as she grabbed me and pulled me away from the edge.

"Why do I mess everything up?" I said, breaking down.

I had a guy who wanted me for me, but I wanted a guy who didn't want me.

What's wrong with me.

She hugs me.

We stayed at the roof for a couple of hours until we left and went home.

Tiara went to her house and I went to mind. I go home and do some homework and sleep.
