The fateful day has finally come. I'm talking about my meeting with Tiffany of course, our Mr. M will be waiting for tomorrow.
I walk the streets of the city enjoying all the facades of luxury shops.
I need an outfit that is both distinguished and seductive since it will also be used to charm my guardian at the gates of Troy.
Attention, seduction is closer to suggestion than to disclosure. I want a relationship that could not be more serious so no clothes that are too bare which could distort the message that I want to convey.
After reflection, I tell myself that the chic of Chanel would serve me better than the Working Girl style - sometimes in the discontinuity of genres - of Saint Laurent. So I head to the shop around the corner.
This splendid space with a decoration of sobriety broken by the sparkle of provocation in the sofas placed between each aisle. The very one where you just have to cross the threshold for a salesman to rush in and offer you a coffee, waiting to comply with your least desire.
In two words: My Dream.
- Hello madam, welcome to our shop. Would you like something to drink? advances the saleswoman.
- It will be fine, thank you.
What was I telling you ? And that in my cheap clothes and barely combed hair.
To tell the truth, I have already seen rich celebrities shopping in pajamas, which imposed a very strict instruction with luxury brands: the absence of judgment. They get the stray dog in the neighborhood and make him a king as soon as he walks through their door. This is another reason for my passion.
- The clothes displayed on the shelves are all one size, you just have to ask me and I'll pick up the corresponding size for you.
- Very well thank you.
- If you want my opinion, your figure is magnificent. Most of our collections will suit you perfectly and I particularly recommend this part of the store. These are unique pieces that will be quite difficult to wear depending on the look of the person but I'm sure yours.
- I'll take a look at it, thank you!
Flattery always sounds like the sweetest tune even if it's for sale.
I do a full tour of the shelves, make my ideal outfit and confirm everything with fittings.
Once sure of my choice, I go to the checkout and my jaw tenses at the number of digits displayed on the screen. It's a hell of a lot but you get nothing for nothing, right?
I buy everything and take care to keep the receipt. A purse and Stilettos later, here I am ready for my Brunch.
I arrive at the Plaza at 10 a.m. sharp. I sit down at a table and take care to order the cheapest line on the menu.
A few minutes later, I make out the silhouette of Tiffany approaching:
- Excuse me for the delay, she shoots, joining me.
- Never mind, I didn't wait long.
She scans me from head to heels.
- Nice outfit.
- I return the compliment.
- Please, you can talk to me. I feel like I'm taking ten more years when people say "you".
His comment makes me laugh. The waitress approaches when she sees a newcomer on the table.
- Would you like to order?
- You want something ? Tiffany asks me as she scans the contents on the table.
- I have already ordered while waiting for your arrival.
- Just a coffee?
Yes, ten euros for that damn espresso with a tiny piece of lemon-flavored cake. I admit, however, that it is delicious.
- I'm not used to eating in the morning, I'm not very hungry.
And I stuffed myself with pancakes before going out. Those of my mother, which do not cost ten euros and are no less delicious.
- It's a shame, breakfast is the most important meal of the day if you care about your line. For my part, I would take a cappuccino and a waffle with red fruits.
- Well, I'll bring that to you in a minute.
The waitress leaves. Tiffany looks at me and smiles.
- How are you ? she finally said.
- Couldn't be better, how about you?
She responds with another smile before continuing:
- I was taken by old friends during the evening. I found it regrettable not to have been able to get to know each other better.
- This Brunch is a great idea. To tell the truth, I was surprised when I saw your message, it's a real honor for me to be at your table.
- You are good at flattery, she replies with an expression of satisfaction.
- It is enough for that to be sincere.
The waitress interrupts us one last time to bring the dish. Tiffany waits for her to move away and approach me. His voice loses a few decibels:
- Let's not beat around the bush. Did you get to see the mysterious CEO during the ball?
I hesitate for a second, not knowing what the best answer is. She ends up adding, breaking down my choices:
- No need to think, it's a rhetorical question. Actually, I saw you with him, or rather a man I don't know which means it's most likely him.
Well, I'm going to have to trust him whether I like it or not.
- Indeed, it was him. I had the opportunity to talk to him when I shoved him to go to the bathroom.
- A meeting worthy of the biggest shots, I love it! she exclaims with satisfaction. Did you see his face?
- Unfortunately no. He refused to take his mask off, so I kept mine on too.
- You are clever, my instinct did not deceive me on your account.
- What do you mean ?
A look full of mischief tints his answer:
- I mean you won't let it go.
You know what ? I'm thinking of reviewing part of my plan.
Since I managed to approach Tiffany, it would be a shame not to take advantage of her knowledge. After all, many women try but few make it to this level and I doubt it's down to luck alone.
- Actually, I managed to get his number. We're scheduled to meet for business.
- Oh you're good! It's much better than I had imagined.
- I didn't really have much to do.
- That's the whole point of seduction, my dear. But the course of the following will be the limiting stage.
- What do you mean by that ?
She takes a sip of her cappuccino before looking at me carefully.
- Is it money or love that motivates you? she whispers.
- Why should I limit myself to one or the other?
She laughs heartily before retorting:
- Don't kid yourself, the two rarely go together. Finally, yours already seems much more attractive than my husband.
- Judging only on his costume and the color of his irises, I replied sarcastically.
Tiffany smiles and finishes analyzing me before whispering:
- You know what ? I think I'll help you so that you don't repeat the mistakes I made in the past.
I approach carefully without bothering to hide my contentment.
- You should sexualize things as soon as possible. He is a man after all, the only difference for him between a woman and THE woman, it is his genital organ which determines it.
His last remark makes me smile amusedly.
- But be careful, above all, never sleep with him, she continues.
- So I have to install a tension that he will have trouble resisting while also subjecting me to it?
- Exactly. If you give in, your plan may fall apart. Rich and popular men want what they can't have, once they get it then they move on. Until then, they are ready to sign any contract to achieve this.
- Like a prenup... It's a dangerous game.
- There is not a thing in this world that one acquires without taking a risk. Now it's up to you to decide if it's worth it.
If it's worth it?
My dear friends, luxury is the beginning of everything and the only thing that will remain. Like the jewels still present in Egyptian tombs or the gold still intact on the stern of a boat that has sunk into the deepest abysses of the ocean. More than just a comfort, it ensures a legacy after death and a social place during life.
Luxury is there to satisfy our need to be dazzled, to hide all the ugliness of this world under a thick layer of glitter and fantasies.
He's worth the pain. It's the only thing that has value in this universe.
- This is something I decided a long time ago.
- That's nice to hear, she smiles.
Suddenly, his phone starts ringing. She looks at the screen, finishes her cup in one go and gets up.
- I have to take this call. Concentrate on what I just told you, I'll talk to you about the rest later. You will keep me informed.
- Of course.
Tiffany leaves after placing a large bill on the table. He covers not only his order but also mine and a tip. The kind of insignificant gesture that I want to be able to do in the future.
