Chapter 3

STEAVES POV

I keep staring at her, she ignored me walking away she went inside. I know she is hurt. But my intention wasn't about hurting her, I'm helpless and I need to get married as fast as I can. I hope she'll forgive me one day. Maybe my business deal is more important than her life!

What is happening to me, I've never waited for someone to forgive me. But why I want her to forgive me!

Since the first day, I saw her, my behaviour have changed completely. I have never smiled while talking with someone before. This girl is completely affecting me. Actually she was attracted to be just some years ago! When I saw her the last time at the grand opening ceremony at the university! She has no idea that I already know her since years ago.

I don't understand why a girl who already had a big company and has half of the shares of the company, and she had come at my place for a job. She is already rich. Even Natalie Carter had never told me about Angelina.

Yes, I know Ms Natalie Carter, since, years also, she is one of my friend.

I arrive at my house, I have my own house since my parents have separate from me. I don't depend on anyone for my life. I have my clubs, I have everything for me, and that's a lot for me as I don't spend too much time at my house. 

I hope after marrying Angelina, she will get comfortable over here. Tomorrow morning I will take her at the mall for some shopping, and I will buy her an engagement ring. I hope that tomorrow will be a nice day.

Really I want to marry her! Will she accept this marriage?

For the time being, I need to sleep. Let's hope so, that she will walk into my life maybe one day...

"SHIT!" Its already 7 a.m and I told Angelina I will pick her at 9. I quickly rush for a shower. After the shower, I take out my black pants with a white long sleeves shirt. I went in the kitchen and make my own breakfast, as I have a maid, but she comes at work only three times per week, just because I rarely stay at this house.

After serving my breakfast I sit outside by the swimming pool and eat my food. Sometimes I wonder, how peoples must be happy while living with a complete family and I have no one in this big house but still I have to be happy alone. I enjoy my own company! I have plenty of bodyguards always surrounded by the house.

After finishing my breakfast. I closed the door and went to my garage and take out my blue car as I have more cars. I prefer the small one for shopping.

After about 15 minutes I reach at Angelina's house, and I park my car just in front of her house, and I get outside from the car.

I knock at the door and hear a voice from a distance "wait I'm coming."

She opens the door. "Good morning Steaves." She whispered, she meets my gaze.

"Morning, you're ready to go?" I ask her immediately.

"Huh…wait I bring my handbag." She said while she rush inside.

"I'm ready!" she closes the main door.

I open the door for her, she whispered a thank you, which I like to listen from her. As I gets in my seat and drives till the mall the whole ride was quiet, she is used to stare at me while I drive but this time she doesn't even turn to look at me once, she is behaving as if she hadn't noticed me.

Arriving at the mall I stepped out first, and  opened her door. "You don't need to open my door everytime, I can open it on my own."she said while looking the other side."

I just nodded at her response as I don't want to argue with her. But still, I will continue to open her door.

I take her hand into mine, she was about to say something while I cut her "We will be marrying soon, so we need to pretend in public places." I said coldly, as I don't want to make her find out of my feelings for her. I better behave rude with her.

I lead her inside the mall. "Which shop you want to go first?" I ask her calmly.

"You're choice." She said blankly.

Why is she behaving so wired today, well why do I care about her. I firstly take her to buy a ring.

We enter the jewellery shop, "can you please show us the bestest engagement ring you have." I told the jeweler. He takes out many shiny diamond rings which reflects wonderful. From the corner of my eye I watch Angelina smiling.

I wait for her to choose her choice, and she finally makes her choice, it's a diamond ring. She offered me her hand to make her try the ring. I take her finger and slide the ring. It looks really nice on her finger. I told the jeweler to pack the ring for us.

Then I take her to a dress store. "Hello ma'am, hello sir, how can I help you?" The sales girl said as we enter the store. "Well she is my girlfriend, and we are finding a perfect dress for our engagement." I said as I grab Angelina's waist, and she smiles at me which I can truly say it's a fake smile.

The sales girl showed us many dresses then Angelina chooses a light pink dress which suited her perfectly. After buying the dress, we went outside the store. "Well I won't wear this for the engagement! I'll better get one from my company!" She stated, still avoiding my gazes.

"Can we go back now I'm not feeling to well." Angelina told me calmly with an exhausted face.

"Sure, but you look different do want me to take you to the hospital?" I ask her.

"No..no it's okay, just drop me at home." She said immediately.

"Okay let's go." I take the bag from her hand. While walking to the parking Angelina holds my arm tightly which makes me stare at her. "What happen are you sure you're alright?" I ask her as her face becomes pale.

"Yes I'm fine." She whispered.

Reaching to the car I quickly open the door for her and made her sit inside she is sweating a lot, I help to take off her jacket. "Do you have water in the car?" She ask me.

"Yes" I quickly grab the water bottle from the backseat and gave her. As I let her door open and I am on my knees just in front of her. I help her to drink the water from the bottle, her hand is shaky.

"Angelina please let's go to the hospital, you're not well." I insisted.

"No..I will be fine it's just because I was tired and I'm feeling much better just give me some time." She said, meeting my gaze.

I close her door and get in the driver's seat and drives her till her house. As we reach her home. I get down, and opens her door. "You're feeling better now?" I ask her.

She only nods her head. "Do you want to have coffee with me?" She ask me suddenly.

"Why not!" I said with a smirk. But why she wants to have coffee with me and at her place! She is not planning to murder me!

"Come in." She opens the door and let me in, and closes it. Her house is really beautiful it's gigantic as well.

"We're alone right now?" I ask her while scanning the house.

"You are expecting someone more to be here?" She questioned while raising her brow.

Why she is scaring me? I meant like she is torturing me! Oh, come on Steaves!

"No, I mean your Mom?" I ask her.

"Hmm..she is at the office." She said, going to the kitchen. I follow her and sit on the island in front of her.

"Good, but you don't accompany her?" I ask her confusedly.

"No…I used to visit the office, but not everyday I only go twice per month." She stated keep staring her.

"But it's your own company, and you visit it only twice per month?" I ask her confusedly.

"I have many memories over that place which I want to forget. That's why I barely go over there!" She said with a little of pain on her eyes.

"I hate to stay at home alone too, I want to forget everything." She said while placing the cup of coffee in front of me.

I know her pain to live without a family. But she is broken right now I can't talk with her about that or else she will begin to cry. Oh! That's the reason she brought me here! She hates to stay alone! I'm definitely sure, she must have a phobia! I will have to take good care of her. She will have to forget everything about her past, but how?

"You need to be braved, I know your situation." I told her while meeting her gaze. She looks beautiful.
