Chapter 4 Part II

"Pangs, have you ever loved a man?"

Beauty laughed softly at what she heard. That's all, she took a deep breath suddenly and looked at the blue carpet on which they were sitting... She bowed.

"Once..." she answered sadly.

"Once? What happened?"

Beauty sighed deeply before she spoke.

"Because I did not believe him. Then... He left and we did not meet again. I will admit, I was sorry then. But, it already happened and I can not return. And I promised myself that I will not repeat my silly mistake."

Velvet nodded at what he heard.

"Me Pangs... Nothing yet. I haven't seen the woman who can get my heart. But when I find her, she must ready because she has no escape. You Pangs... What do you want from a man?" Velvet asked anxiously.

There are those who try to woo her but she ignores them. She does not like them or her heart is just as elusive as he is.

"The good one." the maiden answered quickly.

Velvet laughed softly and then messed up Pangs' hair.

"Nah... I failed immediately." he laughed.

"Yes, you really failed." she agreed.

Velvet's face was serious as he stared at her face as his eyes dimmed along with a frugal smile.

"Whatb if I change, is there any hope?" its a sudden question.

She raised her right eyebrow. He jokes at her again. But she is used to suffering because it is part of her job to persevere in his troubled habit.

"If you can change for the better. But I doubt you can do that. You can't leave all your women." she doubted.

A faint laugh escaped Velvet. He ruffled his companion's hair and then he look at her in challenged.

"Are you sure, I can't?"

"I can leave them once. Once I find the woman who can win my heart. What if Nigel is right? What if you’re the one that I’ve been looking for, Pangs?"

She was stunned for a moment by what she heard. She was dumbfounded. But after she regained her composure, she laughed softly and then slightly shook. She rubbed her forehead.

"You're crazy. Hoy, stop being naughty. Go to sleep because you're drunk." She just reorted.

Her boss Velvet did not speak but she saw it staring intently at her face and she was lost because of that. For a long time, she has been with it, only now does it stare at her like this. She suddenly thought of what it had said earlier. She simply rubbed her forehead to make herself conscious. He seems to be drunk because of what nonsense he is thinking. Someone like her boss will not like her. He likes beautiful and sophisticated women. She is not like that. She dismissed what she was thinking when she heard her companion's violent sigh.

"What am I thinking?" she said in her mind.

Velvet took a pillow from the bed and Beauty was a little surprised when he put the pillow on her lap and then suddenly lay on the floor. It preceded her. She looked at him in shock but he returned a look with a frugal smile. She could not bear the shock.

"Pangs... Can you stay? Don't leave me, please." He begged her.

She rested violently.

"How can I leave you? You put that pillow on my lap and you lay down?" she complained.

A faint laugh escaped the young man before he closed his eyes.

"Pangs... Can you sing me a song? Please, so I can sleep."

"No. I don't want to. You're too much acting like baby." she commented.

"Just, sing our theme song." Velvet insisted.

"What theme song?!"

She tried to beat her boss but she held back.

"That's my ringtone. That's the theme of the two of us, isn't it?"

"Stop that nonsense on me. What theme are you talking about? Don't annoy me."

"I'm not annoying you. That's really our theme. Go ahead, sing it so I can sleep and I won't tease you anymore. Pangs, please?"

Beauty was annoyed as she looked at Velvet's handsome face with a frugal smile on his lips as he closed his eyes. Even so, she could not bear it so she granted his request. She sang very softly.

"You are the only one I love and I always pray. Hope so... You are used to not changing your feelings and all you think about is me. Don't say, you have another sweetheart... I may not be able to cope if you lose, because my heart is used to it. You always want to be seen. That's how I always feel. And why are you the one I love and I really love? Just don't say it, you will leave me... And someone will replace me... "

She stopped singing when she saw Velvet's face was peaceful and he was breathing lightly. None of her own caressed his hair.

"Sleep well, Pagpag." she smiled.
