Chapter 4

The building was four stories high, and they went to the third. There were more guards around. They went to the terrace and were greeted by a very fat, white and big man eating front. It turned its back on them. Her eyes widened in anger.

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience, boss. But I saw this woman wandering outside our yard. She said she was a tourist and she disappeared into the woods. But I doubt her explanation."

The man stopped eating and slowly faced her. He was shocked to see her, the shock was obvious on his face. But for a moment he was stunned, a smirk appeared on his lips.

"Attorney, did you get a visit?" its sarcastic language.

She bravely faced it with her forehead high, She was shivering with anger.

"Not really. Just lost." she answered boldly.

It amuse looked at her and focused his eyes on the video-camera she was holding.

"You know attorney, it's bad to lie. God will be angry."

She smiled sarcastically at what it said.

"Why, do you think... You did not lie?" she asked again.

"I'm not at fault... I did not say I was kidnapped. That's all the news reporters thought. You already know the news." shrugged its language.

Her jaws tightened. This pig is really a liar!

"Because that's what you released. You did this thing to escape the charges filed against you."

"Huh, you care too much. I guess you're going beyond being a lawyer. Tell me, how much did those blows cost you? I can triple that, as long as you side with me. Beat them."

Her head warmed at what it said.

"I will not do that." she spoke emphatically.

It scratched his forehead and looked at her intently.

"Attorney... I will give you a chance to think. You may be enlightened."

"My mind will never change. And my mind is clear, I’m not a lunatic like you!"

It took a deep breath.

"Take her things and lock that woman up! It's disgusting! Haay... I want to talk to our Lord. I will meditate! Bring my things!"

Its personnel acted immediately. He grabbed her belongings and walked away. Even though she struggled, she could not escape. Two men held both of her arms.

"You’ll pay this, you a pig! Get ready for me! I'll make sure you get the death penalty! I'll make sure that you will be roasted! Lunatic!" she said in rage.

"That will not happen, because the law is on my side even if you are still good, you will not be able to charge me with the law you are so proud of. I can buy the law. Hahahaha!"

"DAMN YOU!"

She was stunned, she loved to punch and kick it but she could do nothing. His staff dragged her until they reached the underground... He pushed her into a cell. She almost fell to the floor.

"Rest there, attorney!" male sarcastic language.

He immediately closed the cell and locked it. Affter that he left. Amber looked around, a bit dark in the place where she was. A small window with a railing only provides light in the area. She could hear the loud gunfire outside. She did not know what was going on there. But she was scared.

Meanwhile, Siege was completely separated from his companions. Opponents continue to chase him and he seems to have no way out. He smiled when he saw the lake just near where he was. He quickly ran over there and immediately jumped into the water. He hid under a large rock and saw bullets raining around him. He slowly closed his eyes and relaxed the muscles of his whole body so that he could stay under water.

"That's dead! We've rained him a lot of bullet. Come on, let's bring the ones we caught to the boss. We will definitely get a lot of money from them."

The men left and Siege did not know how long he had remained under water. When he made sure the area where he was safe, he slowly came out. He took a deep breath first, to compensate for the long restlessness. After that he slowly swam towards the shore. He slowly climbed into the water and crawled towards the thick bushes. He felt around and held his gun tightly. He slowly headed to the area where he came from to return to his unit. No more white smoke around. That is the reason why they disintegrated and damaged their formation. Everything is really just a trap for them.

Siege felt a little weak that even the corpses of his companions were not left behind.

"What are they really planning?!"

He looked around and he even walked around it. He intends to track down his opponents. But before that, he first developed an emergency tactic.

Meanwhile... Amber was surprised when she heard many footsteps coming to where she was. She was stunned when she saw the uniformed men being captive by Gener Umali's gunmen. Many of them were wounded and treated like animals. They kick or hit the captive soldiers with guns. She just closes her eyes. She could not take the violence she saw.

The captured soldiers were imprisoned in the other cell next to her. She could not understand, why are they here? Could they have discovered the madness of that Gener Umali pig?! She dismissed Gener's staff before she dared to approach the other cell. Five were taken prisoner and three of them were wounded...

"Excuse me! Sirs!" she called.

The soldiers looked at her. One approached, curiously looking at her.

"Ma'm?" he ask in amazement.

"Why are you here?"

"You Ma'm, why are you here?"

Her eyes rolled.

"Vacation, probably. Damn it! Can't you see? I'm captive here, isn't it obvious yet? I'm busy gathering evidence just so, I was captured. You? Why are you here?"

It did not speak. It just looked at her intently.

"Stop that military thing called confidential. Look, we are all prisoners here. Answer me!"

"Were on rescue operation, Ma'm."

"Rescue operation? Will you rescue me?" she asked in amazement.

"No, Ma'm. We are here to rescue Gener Umali."

"DAMN IT!" she scream for she could not believe what she heard.

She is very frustrated and does not care if she looks like insane in the sight of her fellow captives in the other cell.

"Gener Umali is the leader in this area. His men are the ones who arrested you, the ones you encountered. Believe me, I captured that on my video-camera. It was just confiscated from me. Bad news, it looks like it was fed you on a fake mission."

"Shit!" its cheap.

She read the uniform of the person she was talking to. Sgt. Andrada. His comrades were also shocked by the discovery.

"Are you in charge of the unit?" she ask.

"No, Ma'm."

"In that case, where is your charge?"

"We've got separated and I don't know if his still alive. But we're hoping, Ma'm. that's why we were ambushed effortlessly because this mission is trap. Consolation that we were leapfrogging so we are not killed. But we are still unlucky because we were captured."

She rested violently. She leaned against the railing and bowed in disgust. Is this how it feels to lose hope? Very debilitating.

"Sergeant July Andrada, Ma'm."

She looked at the speaker and saw the soldier she was talking to, with his hand outstretched. She accepted its handshake from the other-cell. It inserted its hand into the railing. She shook hands.

"Attorney Amber Medrano." she introduced herself.

Others also introduced to her. Private Duke Bernabe, Corporal Alias Romanov, Private Michael De Guzman, and Private First Class Erick Gascon. The latter three were wounded and had bullet wounds to the body.

"Why are you taking evidence, Ma'm?" Segeant July ask.

Amber rested deeply before she spoke.

"To expedite the case and I can imprison Pig immediately. He is a nuisance, when I sentence him to death penalty, I will stab him with a bamboo stick and roast him!"

The men in the other cell laughed.

"You're scary, Ma'm!" Corporal Alias Romanov blurt out.

It was able to laugh despite its leg injuries. She looked at the wounds of the soldiers who were Sergeant Andrada's comrades. She knew he shouldn't ask but... She was curious.

"Does it hurt to be hit by a bullet?"

The wounded laughed quite loudly. Pvt. Michael De Guzman.

"Ma'm, it doesn't hurt. It hurts so much!" its language frowned.

It has wound on the right shoulder. Meanwhile, Sgt. Andrada is looking something under its headgear protector. None of her own hit the picture that was there. Picture of a woman and a baby... She was touched by what she saw.

"She's only two months old." suddenly its language.

"She's pretty."

"Thank you. But my child is a boy, Ma'm."

She just smiled at what he said. After that it suddenly looked at her seriously.

"If you were able to escape to this place, would you be able to call for help, for us?" suddenly its language.

She was surprised by what the soldier said. She rubbed her mouth. She rested deeply, out of shock.

"Wait, why me? Why not just you? Or Duke would escape? I don't know what will happen to me outside. What if I get caught? No more, I'm dead."

Sgt. Andrada slowly handed something to her and she hesitated to accept it.

"Hide it immediately, lest the enemy see that."

She pocketed it immediately.

"What is that for?"

"It's a radio. When you're out, then turn it on. Someone will contact the radio and that person will help you so that you can call a rescue for us."

"Wait, Sergeant... Why me?"

He looked at her seriously and she was nervous at the thought. It doesn't look good what he is going to tell her.

"Because of all the captives here, you are the most dangerous to be killed immediately. They captivated us here because they have something to gain from us. They will not just kill us until they get what they need. But you, just make a mistake an answer to them... You are dead. They do not need you because they hold the evidence you have obtained. I say this Ma'm, not to scare you. This is the only real situation."

Her chest seemed to tighten at what she found out. She took a deep breath and she could not count how many times she did it. This is not the time to joke.

"A-Are you serious?" she asked incredulously.

"Indeed, Ma'm."

She thought and looked at the soldiers in the other cell.

"What if you die because of this?" she asked boldly.

"Dying on duty, that is not new to us. We have a lot of benefits left, Ma'm."

She was disgust with what she heard.

"I hate that joke. Fine, I agree with your plan. But you all promise me that I will see you alive again. I’ll do my best." She bit her lip hard.

The five soldiers saluted her.

"Aye, Mam!"

She has no choice. However, it seems that the lives of the soldiers with her suddenly fell on her shoulders. What if she escapes and is caught? Or, she will perish in some other way? There is a huge forest outside the building. What negative things she thinks. But she is gradually getting rid of those negatives.
