Chapter 9 Isn??t this the angel on earth that she has been dreaming about?
"Just tell me if you have anything to say. Don't be so polite."
"Okay." After that, he hung up the phone slowly, his eyes deepening.
??
afternoon.
When the butler Asa heard the servant say that Old Mrs. Clemens had arrived at the gate of the villa, he excitedly put down his work and went to greet her. He wanted to tell the old lady the good news that the second young master had been saved.
From a distance, she saw Vanessa supporting her and whispering something.
He walked over quickly: "Old Madam, you are finally back. Do you know that the second young master's bride can..."
Old Mrs. Clemens frowned in displeasure and said, "What bride or no bride? Go and invite the second daughter of the Lopez Family to the living room. I have something to say to her."
"No, old lady, the second young lady of the Lopez Family today..."
Vanessa interrupted him softly: "Housekeeper Asa, don't be anxious, grandma wants to tell her about today, go and ask her to come over."
Asa, the housekeeper, thought that Vanessa must have told the old lady about how the second young lady of the Lopez Family cured the second young master with silver needles.
Thinking of this, he said no more: "Okay, I'll go right away."
Asa, the housekeeper, came to Zenobia's guest room door and knocked on the door: "Miss Lopez, it's me."
Zenobia had been reading for a long time and was about to ask the butler about Ferdinand's condition when he came uninvited.
Get up and open the door for him.
Asa, the housekeeper, looked at her and said politely, "Miss Lopez, the old lady is back and wants to see you."
"Okay." Zenobia nodded. She walked out and closed the door. Then she asked, "Has Second Young Master Clemens been sick more often recently?"
Asa, the housekeeper, replied respectfully, "Once or twice a week."
Zenobia's eyes grew more serious. This illness couldn't be delayed any longer.
"Miss Lopez, do you really have a way to cure our young master?"
Zenobia raised an eyebrow slightly, her voice somewhat gentle, "I'll do my best, but I mainly need his cooperation."
Asa, the housekeeper, nodded: "Of course."
As they were talking, they had already arrived at the living room.
Zenobia raised her eyes and saw Old Mrs. Clemens sitting on the sofa with her back to her. She exuded a serious aura, and even the atmosphere became much more solemn.
Vanessa sat beside her, carefully peeling an apple.
Zenobia frowned in confusion, feeling that Old Mrs. Clemens's back looked familiar, but she couldn't remember where she had seen her before.
Vanessa: "Grandma, the apples are peeled. Do you want them cut into pieces?"
"No need." Old Mrs. Clemens's usual kindness was gone, and her ending tone was full of majesty.
Vanessa nodded, then handed the apple to her, and seemed to have just seen Zenobia, and asked, "Miss Lopez, did you take a rest for lunch?"
Zenobia heard a hint of the hostess in her caring voice, and glanced at her gently, "Very good."
Then, she looked at Old Mrs. Clemens who still had her back to her. It seemed that she would not have an easy time today, so she greeted her politely: "Hello, old lady, I am Zenobia."
Old Mrs. Clemens was stunned. This voice...!
She turned around and saw a familiar face. It was delicate and pretty yet charming. The smile on her lips was neither deep nor shallow, but it touched her heart in an instant.
Isn??t this the angel on earth that she has been dreaming about?
What three days and three nights? Isn??t this just around the corner?
Zenobia was also stunned. She didn't expect that the old lady she saved was actually Old Mrs. Clemens.
Old Mrs. Clemens's arrogant and almost mean attitude disappeared in an instant. She walked over and took her hand. She just felt that the apple in her hand was a bit of a hindrance, so she threw it on the coffee table and took her hand again.
Vanessa looked at the dirty apple on the coffee table and gently pinched her fingertips.
Old Mrs. Clemens was so excited that she felt that happiness came too suddenly and she didn't know what to say for a moment.
Vanessa looked at Zenobia again, her breath hitching.
Could it be that Zenobia is the girl who saved grandma?
How could there be such a coincidence in this world?
