Chapter 5

Mason entered his room and Skyler followed him from behind.

"Why did you tell him that it was okay to sleep together in one bed?" Skyler almost yelled at him. While she was ranting, he was unbuttoning his suit jacket, he took it off before turning to face her. Seems like the undershirt did justice into hugging his muscular frame together but that wasn't Skyler's problem.

"We are married, isn't that what we are supposed to do?" He raised his brows up.

"You... You know we are not for real" she whispered to him.

"It's nothing to worry about really, the bed is big enough for the both of us to sleep and I don't really have any problem except you are going to jump on me" he shrugged his shoulders.

Skyler's eyes widened, this man didn't just have a cold face, he was also full of himself but she can't blame him, all rich people were like that.

"And when will I get to go home to talk to my mom and friends and explain all these to them?" She asked.

"Tomorrow I have a few hours to go and my family will be home from work. Tomorrow on my way to the company, I'd drop you home" he replied and Skyler nodded.

"Also if you feel uncomfortable in that dress then you can take it off. I have a big hoodie over there" he pointed to his drawl.

"You can put it on and by tomorrow new clothes for you will arrive" he added before taking a good look at her body which made Skyler slightly uncomfortable.

"What is the matter?" She squeezed her face at him.

"You should be like size 2-4, we have that" he replied and her eyes widened.

"2-4? I'm not that skinny!" She argued but he ignored her and took off the undershirt he was putting on. His well defined eight packs and brody shoulders came to view.

Skyler immediately turned away.

"Hey don't you have any shame?" She shouted, feeling slightly embarrassed. Even Felix body can't be compared to his.

"I'm going to hit the shower, if you feel hot you can use it after me" she heard him talking before she heard nothing again.

She turned back to see the bathroom door closed with the running sound of the shower then sighed and sat on the bed.

A lot of things have happened on her wedding day that she doesn't even have the strength to cry about being cheated on anymore.

Time flew like breeze till it was evening when Skyler decide to leave Mason's room and go downstairs to meet his family. She has heard a lot of about the Delgados. Mason has a grandfather whom she just met, mother, father a sister then few other relatives all living here.

"Are you leaving with me or do you want to stand here and daydream?" Mason's arrogant voice brought Skyler back to earth. She turned to him a gave him a quick glare but it all fade off when Mason grabbed her waist and pulled her closer to him- his iron grip chaining and she wasn't given the chance to wiggle off his grip.

"What are you going?" Her eyes widened as she looked at him, shooting her question.

"Taking my wife to have dinner for the first time with my family" He casually replied. The other things Skyler wanted to say flew from her mind. Her cheek turned red and she felt heat building up in her system.

Why is it suddenly hot in here?

"Let's go?" Mason raised his brows, giving her a questioning look and Skyler hate that he could just make her blush without her permission then casually acts unaffected. She cleared her throat and nodded and let him lead her downstairs to meet his family.

When they got down. Skyler met a lot of people on the huge dining room including the old man. Almost all of them look familiar especially the two women that looked her age. She have seen then countless of times on TV. One is an actress and the other is a supermodel.

"Bro" Skyler could guess the one that just rose up was Mason's junior sister. Her name was Ivy Delgado and she was the A-list actress but the smile on her face turned to a frown as she sighted Skyler.

"Bro, who's that?" Jealousy was edible in her voice. A sister kind of jealousy. She sounded like she didn't want to see her brother with another woman, like she wants to be his favorite kid sis.

Mason's grip on Skyler's waist tightened. "I'm glad everyone is here. Let me introduce you guys to my wife, Skyler," Mason announced.

Skyler was taken off guard because everyone were starting to give off a surprise face- except the old man and Mason's parents. But the only thing Skyler could think of now was to smile so she forced a smile at everyone, trying not to look too nervous.

"When did you marry?" Carson asked with his eyes widened. This was the youngest grandson of the old man, just eighteen years. He was adopted, everyone knows that but no one gives him a different treatment.

"Today" Mason replied and walked with Skyler who followed him to sit on the empty chairs available.

Ivy looked at the both of them before giving her mother a confused look. "Mom, did you know about this?"

"I'm just as shocked as you sweetheart" Maya replied with an annoyed smile on her face.

Truth was she has always planned for Mason to marry her best friend's daughter who was about Ivy's age. Even Ivy liked the girl for her brother.

"Ivy, sit down, your brother is married, you should be happy for him," Grandpa Mario said to her.

Ivy didn't look happy as she sat down.

"Hey, welcome to the family Skyler, you look pretty by the way" Edna, the first granddaughter of the Delgado family smiled at Skyler. She's the supermodel and her brother is Hudson, Mason's younger cousin.

The Delgado family is complicated, like a hundred people in. The old Man has four children, six grandchildren. Dylan happens to be the first son. He married Maya and they gave birth to Mason and Ivy. Antonio the second son who gave birth to Hudson and Edna as a single father. Emily, the first daughter who couldn't give birth then adopted Carson and Rosa the last daughter, a single mother who gave birth to Jacob.

"Thank you" Skyler politely responded to Edna's greetings.

"Welcome too, my name is Carson-

"The baby of the house" Hudson Interrupted and Carson glared at him.

"Anyways, I hope Mason is not too cold with you? I'm his cousin by the way, you can call me Hudson" he smiled at her.

"Okay" Skyler nodded and looked at Ivy who was already glaring at her but she took her eyes away.

There were so many people on the table and Skyler was confused on how to talk to but she has no choice than to start learning to adapt with them.
