Heartbroken

Surrounded by Business Men, sterling Hawthorn sat on a chair in the middle of the room facing the door.

His left hand was on his forehead while the elbow rested on the arm of the chair.

The voices of those men were already disturbing him but because he didn’t want to humiliate them, He kept on listening to what they were talking about.

“ Mr. Hawthorn, Please give me the Chance to work with you. I swear you aren’t going to regret it”

That was almost all the things the Business Men were saying in the room. Hawthorn was a picky when it came to choosing anyone that would invest in his company.

They all knew it would be a big deal for them landing themselves a space in HAWTHORN’S HEAVEN even if they have to invest a little amount.

They knew the profit they’ll gain every month was double of what Their Companies would earn in a year or more.

Sterling listened to all their blabbering without saying a word to them. He wasn’t even looking at them , his eyes were close.

When he finally cleared his throat, they all knew it was time for him to speak. So, they all went mute.

Sterling opened his eyes. But immediately he did that, one of the Assistant’s of the business men opened the door and he saw his mysterious woman passing by.

Sterling was sure that was her because this woman’s Face too was covered in the same veil he saw her with last night.

He stood up from the chair, startling them all. Sterling didn’t say a word to any of them, He made his way out of the room causing a commotion inside the room.

“ Because of your attitude, we have lose Mr. Hawthorn now” They all blamed each other and fight broke up between them.

Standing at the corridor, Sterling Looked from left to right confused on which of the room his Mysterious woman could have entered.

But what brought her in to that hotel? Was she in to that Kind of Business too? He wouldn’t say she was a poor person or average.

The store she went in last night, Only Rich people go there, People that earns Millions every day. And the car she drove too was an expensive one that cost more than Ten Million dollars.

But she didn’t Look like someone who would engage in illegal activity. No, Sterling shook his head.

But as he was trying to locate the room she would have entered, He heard a woman’s voice screaming from his left.

Sterling didn’t hesitate, he hurried as fast as he could to the door where the scream was coming from.

Others would think that screaming was of pleasure and they wouldn’t mind. But he felt pain in it and danger.

Sterling placed his ear on the door to make sure his ear wasn’t playing with him. But he didn’t hear her voice again.

But the scent from her body that he had perceived last night, Lingered on the air in front of that room.

Sterling didn’t waste another minute. He moved back a little, extended his right leg and kicked the door with all his energy.

The door flew open, revealing a man trying to rape an unconscious woman who was now lying on the bed.

“ What’s wrong with you!” The man turned around swiftly as soon as the door flew open but started trembling when he saw Sterling standing at the door.

“ M… M… Mr. Hawthorn” He stepped aside. Balls of sweats ran down his forehead as he returned back his long pants which he has already brought down.

He was so shocked to see Sterling at that moment and in his room. He had only got the chance to book an appointment with him after trying for one year and that was the day he was going to meet sterling.

To get a place in his company too just like others. But right there, he knew his Chance of getting what he wanted has come to an end.

Sterling would never partner with him seeing what he was about to do to a woman.

“ I can see you love flirting with other’s woman” Sterling dropped his hands inside his pocket.

“ M… Mr. Hawthorn, please do not misunderstand. I’m not doing this on purpose” He pleaded.

“ Then why is she here?” He asked him, glancing at Vivienne who was lying on the bed.

“ Her Husband sent her here, Mr. Hawthorn. Please do not blame me”

Sterling was speechless. Her husband sent her there? What kind of a husband does that?

His mysterious woman was a married woman? He felt heart broken. But that didn’t stop him from helping her.

He went to the bed, lifted her up on his arms and left the room.

“ Get everyone out of that room, now!” He gave the order to Assistant Mike who had just bumped in to him by the door.

“ Yes, Boss” Assistant Mike raced inside the room and in no time, all the business men started running out.

Only he and the Business Men knew what he said to them because when he returned, he has a mischievous smile on his face.

“ They are gone, Boss” He bowed his head. “ Get a doctor, Fast!” Sterling ordered again.

He made his way to the room, placed Vivienne on the bed and sat beside her.

Up till now, her face was still covered with the scarf. Her eyes were closed, making her more prettier than he had seen her that day.

He watched her for some time, Admiring the beautiful creature in front of him.

He wanted to touch her face but then remembered she was a married woman.

He felt heartbroken that the woman he has fallen in love with was married to a bastard that doesn’t know her value.

“ He’s stupid” Sterling scoffed. “ But I still have to see the face of my beauty” He smiled shortly.

Sterling lifted up his hand to uncover her face but then, Assistant Mike entered the room with a doctor.

“ Boss, She’s here” Sterling stood up from the bed and stepped aside for the doctor to do what she would do.

When he saw her trying to unwrap the scarf on Vivienne’s face, he stopped her.

There may be a reason why she was hiding her face from the public. Sterling thought. And it wouldn’t be nice to remove it. She wouldn’t like it.
