Demon's Attack (2)
❤️ Demon's Attack (Part 2) ❤️
"I know that I am your King but the lives of my subjects depend on how much you pay me. I can help you if you cooperate or you can lose your lives and that of your people in the hands of the demon's. But remember this, I will still take over your kingdom." Raziah told the Hobgoblin Queen. "When the money is ready and will help you and your kingdom." she added and without wasting time she turned around and left, heading straight to her room.
The Hobgoblin Queen watched with disbelief at Raziah until the taller lady was out of sight. She wondered if the Giant and Gnome Kingdom had felt when Raziah visited them but unlike them, they didn't have demons lurking around and waiting to feast during the night.
"Don't you know how to control your daughter?" She asked once she was sure Raziah wouldn't hear her. Even at that, she lowered her voice.
Huffing out. "In case you haven't noticed yet, I am a servant in my own kingdom. I am a servant to Raziah."
"How can you allow your daughter to take over you? You are the King and she is calling herself a King."
"Raziah happened to me," Barwolf said, closing his eyes as an old memory entered his mind. He pushed it down and opened it to find the Queen of Hobgoblin staring at him, probably waiting for him to continue. How can he tell her that Raziah had taken his powers, powers that he betrayed Zelina and Gerwulf for, his daughter had taken it away from him with a snap of her finger leaving him at her mercy. He wonders why she keeps him alive with all the things he had done to her and her mother. If he had known this would happened he would have controlled his di. ck and stopped himself from raping Mary, Raziah mother. He sighed, pushing back the ugly memories away. "Raziah happened,'' he added later.
Nodding her head in understanding. No one knows how Raziah could be able to make the King of every supernatural, her own father, to do her bidding.
"So there is nothing else I can do?"
"I'm afraid there is nothing."
"I will be back then, let me think this through."
Barwolf nodded his head and watched The Hobgoblin Queen walk away from the Palace.
__
"Raziah," Barwolf called out as he entered his daughter's room. She was standing close to her bed with her eyes closed and back turned towards him.
"You gave me that name and that is why I haven't cut off your tongue yet for not adding the title 'King' to my name Barwolf."
Barwolf tried not to look terrified but couldn't help it.
"The Hobgoblins are part of your people, you can't ask them to pay you. They can't protect themselves, that's why their Queen was here."
"Barwolf even if it is you that is in trouble and you ask for my assistance. You will still pay me," Raziah said. "Now go and clean my armour and boots, they must be sparkling clean. I know the Hobgoblin Queen will be back to pay me and on your way out, ask them to bring my food or you can. Whichever way you want."
"Why are you bent on humiliating me Raziah?"
"You humiliated my mother, made her go through pains, made her suffer, remember?" She asked, turning around to face him, looking at him straight into his eyes in a cold hardened gaze. "You should be glad this humiliation is small compared to what you made my mother pass through. Have I asked you to walk around the whole kingdom naked? I haven't so don't ever called this simple task I gave you an humiliation."
"I'm sorry for that Raziah I didn't mean to. I was driven by madness from the powe-"
"You killed her and that was your biggest mistake. You never knew the little Raziah who saw everything, the small girl you had rap. ed every night would become torn to your flesh. You never knew this day would come. Go." she commanded.
Barwolf bowed his head in shame and regret and turned to leave the room when Raziah's voice stopped him.
"You may wonder why I haven't killed you yet," Barwolf became tense. "Mother asked me not to kill you and I agreed with her, I mean if I kill you, who will be cleaning my armour and boots for me everyday?" She didn't wait for his answers and dismissed him.
Barwolf quickly left her room. No one knows what he had done to Raziah including his surviving three wives. The only one who had managed to find out was Mary and he had to get her out of his way. He needed a son that will take over him so the thought of impregnating his daughter crossed his mind and he raped Raziah when she was 10 years old. That was 90 years ago. It's been 200 hundred years since he had betrayed Zelina and Gerwulf and a lot of things had changed, he had changed and he regrets a lot of things. He should be glad that Raziah made him her personal servant.
He went to do as he was ordered.
__
Pity. She doesn't feel pity for her father, rather what she felt was real hatred but she can't harm him, her mother asked her not to.
Raziah smiled to no one and then proceeded to lay down on her bed and close her eyes, falling asleep immediately, still smiling.
It was like she was in a garden filled with Iridaceae and Marigold flowers, she remembered this very place and smiled to herself. After her mother's death, she finds herself here once in a while, not every time. In this Garden she was a ten year old girl. She sat down and waited.
Suddenly someone covered her eyes but she didn't yell, she recognized the fragrance and smiled widely.
"Mother." she whispered and the hand was suddenly gone from her face and her mother joined her on the ground. "I have missed you. It's been a long time since you brought me here. You even promise to tell me a story when next I come." she added sadly. It's been like twenty years or so.
"I'm sorry Raziah. Bringing you here is not easy." Mary told her daughter kissing the top of her head.
"I haven't buried you."
"Good."
"I bathe your dead body everyday like you requested." Raziah told her.
"That's good Raziah and for being obedient I will tell you the story." Mary said, beaming in smiles.
Raziah's ten year old self jumped up in happiness then sat down on her mother's lap.
"A long time ago, after the creation of the universe which leads to different dimensions. The Creator feeling so tired and needed to rest decided to bring the two most trusted of his creations and gave them a task to watch over the universe. Well one was to guide the night and the other one was to guide the day. Well the god who guided the night became jealous of the goddess of the day and wanted to take her powers away from her."
"Why?"
"People prefer day to night, my child. So feeling jealous he made plans to steal her powers since she is the strongest amongst them."
"Did he succeed?" Raziah asked curiously.
"He succeeded." Mary confirmed.
"But how? How can day trust night?"
"Love Raziah, love made her." Mary answered. "I will see you again my child and finish up the story. Keep taking care of my body."
"Wait!" Raziah yelled out and shot out of bed holding whoever that was looming over on the neck. She saw her father staring at her in shock.
"What?" she demanded, tightening her hold on him. If he hadn't Interrupted her dream her mother would have finished that story. Now she doesn't know when her mother would call her to that beautiful garden again.
"Hobgoblin Queen." he squeaked out and Raziah let go of his neck immediately.
"Repeat that."
"The Hobgoblin Queen is back." Barwolf told her.
"So soon?"
"Soon? It's evening already."
Raziah then stared at the window in the room and it was only then she noticed how dark it was outside. She hasn't spoken to her mother for long and now it's dark already here.
"Did she bring my payment?"
"She did."
Without another word she left her bed and room and went to meet the Queen of Hobgoblin who was waiting for her in the compound.
Her stomach growls and she remembers that she hasn't eaten anything since morning nor has she taken her bath. The quicker she is done with the demons the sooner she has her bath and food.
"I'm sorry for delaying my King." The Hobgoblin Queen apologized to Raziah.
Raziah didn't acknowledge her apology, her eyes were on the twenty big sack bags filled with golden coins to brim. Staring at it she smiled to herself.
"You did well." She said mostly to herself. "Take the bags to my treasure house."
Barwolf needed no one to tell that his daughter was talking to him.
"It's night my King, the demons will soon attack please can we go now."
"Hush and don't ever tell me what to do." Raziah warns her. "Besides, if I defeat the demons, do you promise to hand over your kingdom to me?" she asked then continued before the Queen answered. "I mean you will still be the Queen but I will be controlling it. You will follow my rules."
"I promise." the Queen of Hobgoblin said with gritted teeth.
"That's what I want to hear." Raziah said and whistled once.
A golden sharp spear being carried by ten guards were seen coming towards them.
"Lazy fools." Raziah said to their faces and with ease carried her Golden spear. No one can lift up her Golden spear single handedly.
Closing her eyes, she called on her Wolf. She saw herself facing a prison and inside the prison was a large white wolf chained on its hind legs. She had tried all she could to release her wolf from this prison but couldn't. Why was her wolf chained? She has no answer to that and to make it worse, all her Wolf doesn't remember.
"It's time."
Deep violet eyes opened to stare at her as the large head touched the iron.
"They are back aren't they?" her Wolf asked, referring to the demons.
"Yes, I don't know why they are back but I don't want you to kill all of them like you did the last time. I need to question the ones that we will spare and know who is sending them."
The Wolf nodded her head and closed her eyes.
Raziah closed her eyes and made her forehead touch her wolf forehead.
"So are we going now or what else do you want from me?" The Queen of Hobgoblin angrily asked. She has agreed to pay Raziah for her services and even hand over her kingdom to her, why is she delaying? Doesn't Raziah know they have no time.
Growling loudly that it forces everyone around her down to their knees.
"Know who you are talking to."
Opening her eyes, her dark Irises were no longer dark but deep violet.
