Chapter 5

Siana’s POV

That was really awkward! A good kind of awkward actually! I could not even react from the moment he pulled my hand, made me sit on his lap, pushed spoon in my mouth..... For a moment I forgot that I am angry at him!

"Aunt Si! Ludo!" Oh yes!

"Yes! Go sit in my room I am coming. Take out ludo box okay?" I hastily cleaned the dining table and kitchen platform with wet cloth and kept the remaining cake in refrigerator. Sighing I filled myself a glass of water.

"Umm..... Kids are waiting for you." I turned and nodded.

"Yes...... I am going." I said and went outside after taking a few sips of water. What should I say? Will he be there when we will play? How to ignore them?

This Lexi! I swear... She planned all this! Chase don't want to be with me. Why she does not understand?

"Kiddos! I will take blue.... You both?" I asked twins.

"Green" Syd said.

"Red" Lu said after her.

I turned to Chase

"Yellow?" I asked and he nodded.

"Me and Chase in one team." Richie came and picked Chase.

"Okay. Start?" I asked and rolled my dice.

"I heard you cheat a lot?" He asked after rolling his dice.

"That I do!" I smiled at him and rolled my dice again. After few more rollings Richie was behind me. Syd and Lu already won. If this time he rolled a six then I am gone!

Biting my lips I looked around and slowly shifted my blue token forward. But he rolled a five! I would have been safe without cheating also!

"You cheat! Put back your token to where it was!" Richie said.

"It was here only!" I said innocently.

"No.... It was one step behind! Put it back or else..."

"Or else what?" I asked.

"I get a second chance now.... If I roll two you are gone!" He said.

"Not fair! You got your chance!" I said while trying to take the dice from him, but he dodged.

"No.... My chance." He said.

"It's not yours! It's mine." I said.

"Ohhh... Really? Then take the dice from me!" He said while showing me the dice. I lunged towards him but he pulled his hand up.

"Kiddos... tell your uncle that he is cheating!" They just giggled.

"Chase ..... tell him. It’s my chance."

"It's my chance Dad. Am I playing?" Chase said in shrugging tone.

"We are a team baby." I was still trying to take dice from him as he slept on the bed and started going upwards and even I went to get a hold of the dice.

"Give it to me!" I said.

"Nope." He said.

"Urghhh it's my chance!"

"Nope it's mine!"

"Then I am not playing. Enjoy alone." I started getting up.

"Coward." What the hell!

"You!!!"

"Not me. You!"

"Fine give me the dice. I will play."

"Take it." If only I was as tall as him I would have given him a tough competition.

Now I have to cheat again!

I started pinching him on his hands.

"Owww!" He groaned.

"What happened?" I smirked at him.

"Wait... I will show you!" He pulled me up a bit and turned me. He started tickling me.

"Wa..it! S...t..oop." I said laughing in between.

"That, you should have thought before pinching me!" He said.

"O.kay... so...rry." I said while laughing.

"Better!" He stopped. I looked at him to gesture him to get up from me.

"What?" He asked.

"Get up!" I said glaring at him.

"Ohhh... Yes!" He said while getting up. I also followed the lead and stood up. Looking around I found the room empty.

"Where are the kids?" I asked.

"Um.. I don't know? Will that answer suffice?" He said while shrugging his shoulders.

"No! They might be in their previous room!" I said while going out of the room.

"Kiddos!" I started shouting from the hallway while going to their room.

"You will scare them if you shout so much!" I heard him mutter under his breath.

"They are adjusted to my volume!" I said turning back.

"My Chase is not!" Richie said.

"He hates me so does it matter?" I said under my breath.

"What?" He asked.

"Nothing.... I will speak in low tone now." I said and started walking towards their room.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"Their room." I opened the door to find twins sleeping and Chase sitting on the bed. Not wanting to break my resolve of staying away from him.... I went to twins and covered them with blanket and kissed them.

"Mr. Martin..... Your room is to the left of this one." I said and turned to see father and son duo frowning at me.

What now?

"What happened?" I asked.

"Chase go to twins’ side and lay down. Dad will come in few minutes." He said to Chase and gestured me to come out.

Confused, I made my way out and closed the door. We walked back silently to my room and he shut the door.

"Why are you doing this?" He asked coming near me.

"What are you saying?" I asked.

"Why are you confusing my son?" He glared at me.

"Confusing him? Right now you are confusing me. Come to the point!" I said angrily.

"Why are you ignoring him?" I looked at him confused.

"I am not ignoring him!" I said.

"You are! You kissed twins, fed them and totally ignored Chase!" He shouted pushing me to the wall.

"What the hell is with you! You said me to stay away from him. Now you ask me why am I ignoring him. I am ignoring him because he hates me and you hate me being with him! First you should decide if I should stay away from him or not." I pushed him and went toward my bed.

"I..... He.... But he looked. Well he can ignore you but you cannot." Is he mad?

"You know what! I am doing the right thing and I will continue doing this." I pulled the blanket and laid on the bed.

"Siana..... He is feeling ignored and I don't like it! Just behave with him as you do with twins..... Please?" He asked.

I sighed and got up.

"Is he... I mean he wants me to be with him? He will not be irritated with me?" I asked, tears in my eyes. I don't want him to see how much Chase affects me.

"Siana...... He is not that bad. He just tests people!" He said.

I nodded and wiped my tears and went to Chase.

Just hope he gets with me this time!
