Her Saviour
Scott Gutierrez of WhiteFang Pack sat in his study room going through some files.
He was getting ready for a business meeting tomorrow. He just secured a deal with a firm, the last thing he wants is to be under-prepared for any task.
He ran his fingers through his jet-black hair, then poured himself a drink. Being the CEO of a successful business empire made him dedicated and focused.
He read through a file and quickly typed something in his laptop.
A few hours later, he shut his laptop. Then rested his back on his plush leather chair. His mind wandered to the woman lying unconscious in his mansion.
He saw her at the bank of the ocean when had came out to clear his head.
He lived near the ocean because of the peace it gave him.
The young woman was injured, so he called his doctor to check up on her. When he first saw her, he felt this connection with her. He was clueless about her identity.
Which made him hire a private detective to get more information.
It's been weeks, yet she was still unconscious. He wondered if anyone was searching for her.
Then the door opened and Sara, his housekeeper, walked in with urgency.
She bowed. "She is awake! the young woman."
Scott stood up quickly and followed Sara to where she was.
Ruby sat on the bed as she looked around in confusion.
Where is she?
Her shoulder was bandaged, and she felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen as she tried to stand up. Then she collapsed back to the bed.
The door opened and a man walked in followed closely by a woman.
He towered above her like a Greek God. So magnificent. His muscles rippled under his white shirt as he sat close to her and drew her close.
God, he smelt so nice. For a moment, Ruby closed her eyes and basked in his scent. When her eyes flew open, his lips curled in a pleasant smile.
Ruby felt at ease, she could feel an intense connection with him. It was electrifying.
"I am glad you made it," he said.
Ruby stared at him. "Where am I?"
"WhiteFang Pack, welcome to my territory. I found you by the ocean, lying unconscious."
Memories of what happened to her flashed in her head. She shuddered.
"My name is Ruby, please don't take me back. Someone is after my life. I need to stay alive for my baby," she pleaded.
"Sorry to say this, but you lost the pregnancy," Scott informed her, his voice laced with sympathy.
"No!," Ruby yelled.
Scott hugged her." Calm down, you're still not strong. I know it's painful. But you need to stay fit."
Tears streamed down her face. She had lost everything, nothing was left.
"You should rest, I feel your pain," Sara said with concern.
She continued crying at her loss.
Scott ran his hand through her shining hair. He looked at her, she had the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen.
The doorbell chimed. Sara hurried off to answer the door.
Then she came back. " It's the detective. He'd like to have a word with you, sir."
"I'll be right back, Ruby," Scott said and left with Sara.
Mr. Fann the detective was waiting for Scott.
They exchanged handshakes and they both sat down.
"I have news regarding the young woman," Mr. Fann said.
He passed a blue file to Scott.
"She is Ruby Moore, the former Luna of Moon Mountain Pack. Words have it that she left after the divorce. Then the supposed accident happened," Mr. Fann said.
Scott was stunned to hear all he said.
It must have been rough for her.
He scanned through the file, he saw pictures of Ruby smiling. Then he saw her standing close to an old man. He assumed it was her father. He also saw her looking lovingly at a man, her husband.
"From digging deep, it seems someone wants her out of the way. I am yet to solve this part. She is surrounded by enemies. I think the culprit is out there. Soon whomever it was will find out that she survived and come after her," Mr. Fann explained succinctly.
"What should we do?", Scott asked.
"Do whatever you can to keep her safe," Mr. Fann replied.
That night, Scott was still outside as he sipped his drink.
Ruby, is such a lovely name. He said the name softly. There's something about her. Ever since he rescued her, not a day had passed without him thinking about her.

Conri got back from the office, he walked into his house hoping to shower and sleep, he has been avoiding Dew for some time now.
Not even picking up her calls. He wished none of this had happened in the first place.
Ever since Morgan told him of the possibility of Ruby being alive, he has been searching for her. Hoping he will find her.
He knew he had messed up big time. And Dew is pregnant. He was at a crossroads.
He needed to clear his head to know what's best for him.
He heard someone speaking on the phone, it was Dew.
Shit.
How did she get in? Dew is beginning to get on his nerves. He'd have to take a stance and make things clear between them.
The earlier the better.
He stopped in his tracks to catch what she was saying.
She laughed and spoke over the phone. She was engrossed in the conversation to notice his presence.
"Conri is such a fool. I have him where I want him to be. I know I am pregnant, the baby is not his," Dew said as she smiled.
