GET A ROOM

"What about Matthew Scott?" Maddie asked eagerly.

"Nope, not interested".

"Jeremiah Anderson"

“I'm still not interested." It was free period, and we were hanging out outside by the tree, chatting among ourselves.

Sofie wasn't around since her brother was coming back today. She wanted to be home when he returned. I get her; it's been a year and a half since she last saw him. He studied in London and hardly comes home.

“Lan Martins"

"Really Mad, I don't need a boyfriend". I told her again for the hundredth time that day that Maddie can be really stubborn when she wants to. She has been trying to set me up with some guys in school.

"I told you not to call me that; I feel like you are insulting me. And what do you mean you don't need a boyfriend?"

"because I don't. If I wanted one, I could easily get one."

"Then why the hell haven’t you? It's been months since Ace left."

If you are wondering who Ace is, Well, let’s just say he was my hook-up partner. We had a friend-with-benefits kind of relationship that lasted until a few months ago. But his father got a better job in Australia, so his family relocated.

"I don’t want any boy drama. I’ve got school, which is more than enough headache for me" I sighed dramatically.

The bell rang, signifying the beginning of lunch.

"Come on, let's go; I'm starving." I stood up, dragging Maddie along with me. I woke up extremely late today, so I couldn't have breakfast because I had to rush to get to school early.

"Can we sit at Dylan's table". Maddie pleaded, pouting.

I groan at the thought of that; sitting with Dylan means seeing Hayden. We managed to stay clear of each other for two days, which has been great.

"Must we?"

"Dylan has been busy with practice because of the scout coming next week; we haven't really had time to hang out. I miss my baby". She said it cheekily when we entered the cafeteria. We both bought our food, and I was dragged towards the torture zone.

"Hey babe". Maddie said this to Dylan, sitting on his lap, and they started making out.

Haven't they heard of the phrase get a room.?

As much as I love how great their relationship is, I don’t think I can stand their PDA after walking in on them getting ready to do the deed.

I took a seat, not looking at who was in front of me, and when I finally looked up, I couldn't contain my disgust.

Hayden had a girl straddling his lap as they ate each other's mouths off.

Okay, I take back what I said. Maddie and Dylan I can handle, but Hayden and whoever this girl was were beyond gross.

I rolled my eyes at the sight and started eating my hamburger and chips. Thankfully, Maddie and Dylan were done with their make-up section, but Hayden just kept on going.

Don't they need to breathe?

"Hey Bree". Dylan greeted me, nudging my shoulders.

"Good to see I am finally being acknowledged," I said teasingly at them, and I cooed when a blush formed on Dylan's face and Maddie let out a sheepish giggle.

"Sorry, I just couldn't help myself". Maddie responded, and her face turned red.

"I can see that," I smirked, deciding to change the subject. "What about Daniel"? I haven't seen him today. I wonder what he's up to. Daniel was kind of the fun one among the trio.

" Detention". Dylan answered, and a sly smile grazed his face.

"What did he do now". Maddie exclaimed.

"You know how Mrs. David asked us to write a thousand-word essay about our favourite memories? Well, Daniel thought it was a wise idea to draw it." As Dylan narrates what happened, Maddie and I couldn't stop laughing.

"Please don't tell me it's what I think it is," I asked, knowing how Daniel is. He was someone you could classify as a man-whore, just like Hayden.

Now imagine asking someone like him what his favourite memory was. It's definitely something I won't ever try.

"Yep, he did". Dylan answered. "And that's not even the best part."

"What is it?" Maddie propped, wanting to know more. I was also curious.

"He tagged it as an emotional subject that no words could express. I have never seen Mrs. David so pissed before, hence the detention."

"Why am I not even surprised? That is so Daniel." Maddie nodded, agreeing with me.

We all stopped talking when we heard the sound of moaning coming from the girl sitting on Hayden. My face scrunched up in disgust as we stared at the very unpleasing sight.

How are they still at it? It really baffles me.

Dylan cleared his throat, trying to get their attention. Hayden turned away from the girl he had straddling him, his signature smirk on his face as a string of saliva stretched from his lips to her.

I think I just lost my appetite!

"what's up". Hayden asked, not bothering to shove off the girl, who was now kissing his neck.

"My blood pressure." I grumbled.

Hayden's eyes narrowed toward me, acknowledging my presence. "You would be much more likeable if It weren't for that hole in your mouth that noise comes from."

"How long did it take you to come up with that?" . I retorted back, scowling at him.

"Really, that's your smart come back. Gabrieeella".

This insolent punk...

" Okay, okay. That’s enough for you both; we don’t want you guys starting World War III here. Why don’t we end this peacefully and let's carry on with our lunch". Dylan scolded us, breaking it up.

I glared at Hayden, upset to have not gotten the final words.

" hombre-puta."

"Do you have to be so competitive? Can't we just enjoy lunch in peace?" Dylan groaned. I shrugged; it's not like I tried to start a fight with him. It was just so easy.

I can't quite remember how it started or how we began to dislike each other; all I know is that we have been at each other's necks for as long as I know, and it doesn't matter anymore.

"Today is going to be a long day". Maddie huffed.
