Chapter 1

Psyche Faie was busy preparing the cake batter when there was a knock on the kitchen door here in her shop. She took a deep breath and even though she has not yet seen who was knocking, she already has an idea who the person is. Only one person has the courage to mess with her here in the kitchen when she is doing something. Her best guy friend is Eros Gabriel Roxas.

Ever since she can remember it, Gabby had been by her side. He is two years older than her but he is what she considers her best friend. She felt that nothing could separate them.

Her parents even followed her name to the man. Psyche and Eros. They perfectly matched. From the time she was a child until she grew up, she used to call him "Eros". To his friends and relatives, the man was simply called "Gabby". She is the only one who calls him "Eros" until now. Because, for her, he is still her childhood and best friend Eros who always shared her gummy worms when they were little. That will not change. When he does something wrong or mischievous with her, she calls him "Eros Gabriel" or "Gabby" and she will not call him "Eros" until he apologizes.

Their parents are friends so they soon became friends too. She is an only child while he has an older brother. They treated each other like how they would treat their would-be siblings. Gabby is ready to defend her against those who are bullying her and she is ready to cover up the man with his parents when he does something silly.

Gabby is a genius. He saw how it was boring to study because he already knew the things he had just learned. So when it comes to cutting classes, she covers it up with his parents. He has a clever mind, too. She saw how he solved all the problems or issues he is involved.

When she graduated from her Culinary course, Gabby also graduated but that was his second course. His first course was Business Management which his parents took. His second course is Veterinary Science. He accelerated several times during elementary and high school so they graduated from college almost simultaneously.

When she was asked why he took this Veterinary Science course, his answer was a resounding, "The queue for admission is shorter there."

Genius my ass! He is stupid!

But despite his weirdness, she still cares for her best friend. She would never trade him for another. Even in her favorite choco-hot fudge brownie ala mode. Even if he says she will be a frog when she kisses someone other than her true love, she still loves her best friend.

She was fifteen years old when she realized that what Gabby told her was nonsense, that she would be a frog when she kissed a man besides her true love. But even so, she still did not have a first kiss.
