Chapter 2

They were friends when they were still in college because they were part of the same club then — the old and abandoned tennis club at Sebastian Era University. She also went there for college but she was years younger than them.

“You’ve been trolled again, Karen. Aren't you still pregnant? ”

He turned around when someone suddenly spoke there. He was left alone while looking at his best guy friend Daniel Prieston or Nile of them all. It was also because of his Kuya Harmond that he was able to get close to this man.

"Idiot." His older brother told him.

“You are the idiot! Childish!" he turned to his friends. “You are old, you are still young! `Tse you all! And Nickos, stop watching porn! ” He shouted at a friend of his brother who was sure he was carrying that porn.

He marched back to his room but even before he could close the door Nile entered his room. He lay down on his bed and buried his face in his pillow.

"Why are you here? Go back to your friends. ” she was sick of the man.

It just growled. He knew Nile. It would rather sleep all night than mess with its friends. He wondered why his older brother Harmond even invited him to immigrate to them even though he did nothing but sleep.

He stood in front of his laptop and started typing. When he felt thirsty, he immediately turned to his best friend. It was motionless but he knew it was not yet asleep based on its breathing.

Maybe in its past life it was a dog. It tends to playdead.

"Nile…" he muttered to it which he answered with a growl. "Get some water and food on the chin, oh."

It tilted so it faced him. His soulful bluish-gray eyes met her plain brown ones. “It's you. You have your own feet. ”

She pouted at him. "Please?"

"I'm conserving my energy and by walking one hundred steps just to get your food will drain my energy."

She rolled her eyes at him. “You know, Nile, you are OA. It's like you're just going to get down, eh, you've said a lot. ”

He shook his head when he got up and left her room. She knew this man. He just loves to grumble and to protest but when it comes to it, he will obey her in the end. He was such a good friend. A spoiler, actually. She was spoiled more here than her older bully older brother Harmond.

He smiled when the name of his friend Serenity suddenly popped up on his Skype. Serenity is one of her seven friends and as such she is also a writer at LoveString Publishing.

She accepted the video call right there and then.

“Good morning, Ka. You don't come in later? ” its opening opens to him. He looked at the clock on his laptop. It will be early in the morning.
