He looked at Nile. "Oh?"

"Thank you for joining me today." He said and gave her a smirk. Its simple and seems economical but reaches its eyes.

Her heartbeat quickened. It was as if something had drawn something on his chest. Was she hungry again?

He sneezed and jokingly slapped it on the arm. “No problem. Just work hard once so I will spend it. Join me for swimming shopping tomorrow. ”

He groaned and the painful expression on his face made her laugh.

"FUCK you, Calixo!"

"Fuck you to hell and back, Jace!"

Karen quickened her pace when she heard that shout. The two names he was familiar with — perhaps the two in the middle of the fight — were familiar to him because they were the names of his two older brothers.

Arriving at the abandoned open field that became the shelter of the flickering tennis club of their university, he saw his older brother playing tennis. It doesn't seem to care even if its two friends are fighting.

He was about to sit in the single bleacher in the open field when he noticed the sleeping figure there. He was tired of his ups and downs because of his reports so his foot hurt and he wanted to sit down. But there’s no way in hell that she’d sit on the dirty floor!

Without hesitation he pushed the sleeping figure. He grinned as it fell to the floor.

"What the hell ?!"

When he opened his eyes, she was thoroughly mystified by the colors of them. Yes, colors. Its eye color mixes gray and blue.

He thought it was going to stand up but it just kept lying on the floor as he stared at it. He has the most soulful pair of eyes she had ever seen.

"Do you know how much energy I lost when you pushed me from there to the bleacher?"

He was stunned. “Energy? What are you, battery? ”

It waved its hand. He smiled sheepishly and she noticed the single dimple on his left cheek. “Sort of. I’m Daniel Prieston. ”

He accepted her hand. "Karen Morales."

And she doesn’t know that they would have become the best of friends because of that.

“WHY ARE you keep on glancing at Dela—”

Annoyed, Karen covered Nile's mouth because of the strength of her voice. He didn't want Delany to notice that he had been watching her and her boss Drake before.

"Do not be noisy! I’m analyzing them. They are good, aren't they? ”

He nodded and removed his hand from its mouth. "The salt of your hand."

"Because of those chips."

"That's your sweat."

"Not either."

He lost his attention to his friend and moved on to Delah. They are already on the coaster. Delah and Drake were seated opposite them. He shuddered to see his friend asleep and leaning on Drake's shoulder.

"The sweet." He said weakly that Nile must have heard because he grinned.

"You look like a stalker."
