Chapter 1: Le Eri

"Darling..." The voice resonated throughout the whole room making me stumble down on the floor, trying to run away for my life. "You do know you can't get out, right?"

"Help!" I screamed in horror, crying out in pain as tears flowed down on my cheeks out of fear.

I feel like a mess.

My hands travelled down to my ankle that must've sprained from the fall with a groan in my throat. I shook my head before standing up—not that the sprain was too much, it was just enough for me to run. I needed to get out of here but I can't—I can't get out. How? Why am I stucked here? Why am I here in the first place? How did I even get here?

As I made my way outside, I whimpered when an agonizing pain striking down to my ankle and winced. Bundle of tears fell down on my cheeks agaib but I didn't give up. I needed to get out. I stopped in front of the gate, and prayed for my life that I would be able to get out.

Approaching the gate, my lips trembled as well as my hands as soon as it touched the bars before pushing it foward. Please let me out. My head keeps on spinning, letting my tears stream down, and walked outside with my eyes closed tightly before flattering them open while my head prayed that—

"I'm o-out?" I purred out, a smile appeared on my lips and tears continue to flow down but instead of fear, it was now replaced with happiness.

"I'm out!"

I practically yelled and cheered for myself although there's no one around here. My feet made it's way to the road, running, and ready to get out.

However, when I turned to my side—all I could see was a blinding flashing light and the sound of a loud beep before my sight turns into darkness.

My eyes slowly fluttered open and closed it immediately as light shone directly in my eyes. Am I in heaven? What happened? Why am I here?

"Miss Myung?" A voice called out, feeling my brows knitted together to glance at the person—a woman in her 30's, wearing a uniform, a nurse uniform at that.

Feeling my heart accelerated, I feel like I couldn't breathe anymore as I heard the nurse gasped before calling out for doctors. Hearing the doctors rushed in was all I could heard before I lost conciousness again.

Hours later probably passed before feeling myself gaining consciousness yet a bunch of murmurs could be heard, echoing throughout my entire ears making me since. I couldn't even understand any single words they said.

"Will she be alright?" A familiar voice asked as I opened my eyes slightly again to see a woman—the same woman from earlier. Yet, she was wearing different outfit today. Is she going to some party?

"She will wake up soon." Another manly voice replied. "Just wait for her to wake up then you'll be out here."

The woman replied back with a nod as I watch her staring at the man who left the room, and looked at me.

She gasped and smiled. "You're awake, Miss!"

I furrowed my eyebrows and nodded, before getting up and supporting myself with my elbows while rubbing the temple of my forehead.

"What happened to me?" I asked, taking a glimpse of the stranger in front of me. "And who are you?"

Her eyes widened, looking at me in astonishment "I am Mrs. Jo, Miss Myung—don't you remember me?"

My lips parted, unable to comprehend what she told me. Am I supposed to know her?

"And also, you were in an accident, Miss Le Eri." The woman responded making me cringed.

"Le Eri?" My breath hitched, bewildered. "Who is that?"

Is that perhaps me? No, it couldn't be.

"Is something wrong?" She gasped, fear strike on her face making me tilt my head to the side. Now that I think about it, what happened to me? I don't get it—I was involved in an accident?

"Miss Le Eri!" I jumped—startled by Mrs. Jo's yell, I cringed at the tone and the way she called me. "How? It was only a minor accident!"

My heart palpated, as if going to leap out of my chest. I tried to calm myself down, breathing in and out before facing her again. "What are you talking about? My name isn't Le Eri!"

"What are you talking about Miss Le Eri? Oh gosh!" She started to panic, pacing back and forth, ruffling her hair, frustratedly. What is happening here? "The young masters will kill me if they find out about this!"

No, I'm sure my name isn't Le Eri. Impossible, my name is— No...why can't I remember my own name?

"My name is Le Eri?" I choked out. Is that really my name? I feel like it isn't, but how can I even forget my own name?

The woman nodded with her eyes moisted with water as if telling me to remember something when I clearly can't but I didn't answer her, making her yelped. She kept on muttering worlds like it's her fault for leaving me outside the gate. I don't even remember anything, even what happened to me.

"Wait." She halted, looking at me with anticipation as I sat at the edge of the bed. "What young masters were you talking about?"

"You don't even remember them as well?" She let out a deep exhale, close to crying her balls out. "They will meet you in an hour now. They don't even know you got in an accident."

And that, she fell on her knees and bursted out in tears. "I can't lose my job. I have a family."

What job? Don't tell me she worked for me? Is she probably my nanny? Maid?

Her phone rang and eyes widened when she saw the caller. My eyes narrowed to see the caller and written there was 'Young Master JK'.

"I'm going to d-die." She muttered, panicking, possibly worried about losing her job when she has a family. And I would never let her lose her job just because of a pity situation.

"You can tell them the truth, you know..." I reassured with a smile. "I can just make up excuses to 'them'. Trust me."

I don't know what the hell I'm talking about and who the hell she is talking about but this woman has a family. I can't let them be harmed just because of me.

"Did you really forget your memories?" She asked, confirming. I rolled my eyes and huffed.

"I can't even remember a single thing, how would I know?" I scoffed. "Just go and tell them the truth."

She just nodded and got up, answering the call outside the room. Her absence gave me time to scan to whole room and it looked like a bedroom but in an old style. I've never been here before—or have I?

The door cracked open and the maid entered the room. Before she could even speak, I interupted her. "By the way, what place is this?"

"You don't even know this?" I shook my head in honesty. That was true, I don't know what place this is, something like old fashion style when we're clearly having an advanced technology.

"You're currently at the Jeon Academy, Miss Le Eri." Her simple words made me feel like my head is spinning again.
