Chapter 9
"I'm the moron who will gladly give the moon to you, Cher."
“Just shut up! Just live on the moon, idiot! ”
He went straight to the kitchen but was stunned when he saw the man sitting at the table. He was immediately nervous, especially when he turned to where he was standing. But the nervousness he felt gradually disappeared as he smiled at her. Its dimples then came out of his cheeks.
It stood up and approached him. “Annyeong. I’m Dennis Park but you can call me Den, Jerome’s friend. I wasn’t able to greet you awhile ago because I was busy unpacking my things. ”
Poorly he held out his outstretched hand. At first, he was opposed to getting to know his alleged sister to his mother. But now, staring into her seemingly very kind eyes, all she wanted to do was hug him and introduce himself as his brother.
"I'm Cheryll but you can call me Cher."
She saw longing crossed his eyes before it disappeared. "Nice meeting you, Cher."
"Nice to meet you, too, Den."
"At Korea, it was a custom to greet someone with a hug."
Even before he could move, he locked himself in his arms. Being inside his arms reminded her of her step-brother, Top. It was giving her the warm feeling on her heart.
“How touching. Need a hug, hyung? Will you kindly take your arms off her now? ”
Jerome's irritated voice awakened his mind. Her cheeks flushed as she walked away from Dennis. When he looked up at the man, he saw a twinkle in his eye that immediately disappeared. He turned to Jerome and looked sharply.
"Will you just shut up, moron?"
It just looked at Dennis badly before he turned. The annoyance on his eyes vanished. It grabbed him by the elbow causing him to shrink. It was as if a bolt of electricity had flowed on her body.
“Here you sit. I cooked you so you ate a lot. ”
"I didn't tell you to cook for me so don't blame me there." He was sick here but in his heart he felt a warm palm caress his heart. He immediately dismissed you.
His mantra in his mind was not to let Jerome get close to him again. Jerome Kim is bad for her health and on her heart as well.
Even before he could spoon the rice, Dennis preceded him. She thanked him the same time she heard Jerome scoffed. Even before getting the dish, Jerome put his plate of chicken barbeque on his plate.
"Eat food, huh?" it even poured milk into the glass.
Instead of saying her thanks, she just grunted. She will no longer affect the man.
"What is your job, Cher?"
"I'm working on my father's engineering firm." He answered Dennis' question.
“Where did you graduate from college, Cher? You suddenly left— “
"I don't want to talk about that, moron." He interrupted what Jerome had to say.
If there’s one thing she doesn’t like to talk about, it was their past.
"Cher—"
"Just stop, okay?"
