Chapter 10: Who Helps Krista
After training, Carlotta and the other girls left with the boys of the basketball team. The task of tidying up naturally fell on Quincy. Ciel wanted to stay and help him, but Carlotta pulled her together, "The only value of Quincy is to help us to pack up stuffs. Otherwise, I would have kicked him out long ago. He doesn't need your help."
Quincy packed the things up and put them back in the equipment room. Mr. Amir called him, "Young Master Quincy, it was done!"
"Alright, I got."
They were proficient. It took only an hour. It might take a while until Krista knew.
At 5pm, when he was jogging, Alden called him. He seemed to be happy, "Hey, bro. Where are you?"
"Playground. Why are you so relaxed? Is Krista alright?" They might have known the good news.
"God! How did you know? Her father just called her 20 minutes ago!" Alden asked in surprise.
"If it hasn't been resolved, how can you be so relaxed?"
"You're right!" Alden was excited, "Come to X Restaurant. Krista will treat us for dinner! We will be there soon."
"Enjoy your meal. I won't go." Krista hated him so much. He didn't want to look for trouble for himself.
"Come on. We are all here!"
"I really won't go. Have fun!"
"Hey! Kidding? If so, we are not your friends anymore. Think about it!" Alden directly hung up.
Quincy forced a smile.
He slowly went towards the X Restaurant.
There were more than 10 people and someone he didn’t know. They must be Krista's friends.
They also found Quincy.
Krista, who was chatting happily, saw him as well. A trace of disdain flashed in her eyes, "Did I ask you to come? Fine, I'm in a good mood. You can join us as well."
Then she turned to chat with others, paying no attention to him anymore. No worry and fear could be found in her expression now.
He had fixed feelings and was somewhat annoyed.
Forgot it. After all, it had something to do with him. They wouldn't have any contact in the future. Even if she got in trouble again, it was none of his business.
Alden quickly walked over and whispered, "Leave her alone. We could have fun on our own! Sit next to me."
Alden pulled Quincy and sat down beside him.
Krista glanced at Quincy with disdain. Quincy ignored it.
"Krista, what did he do?" A girl was curious about what happened.
The others who didn't know the inside story also looked at her confusedly.
She sneered with arrogance, "This guy is really amazing. He went to Citibank to withdraw money yesterday. The key point is… He doesn't have a Citibank card at all! So interesting..."
Those who didn't know what exactly happened were all pleased and tried hard to press down their laughing. They couldn't help but glance at Quincy.
Kyla and Alden felt extremely awkward.
Even if she didn't like Quincy, why did she expose his shortcomings in front of others directly?
The dishes were served.
Quincy only chatted with Alden and Milo, staying out of their conversation.
"Guess what, in the end, Matthias Taber, the chairman of TS Group, personally apologized to my father! He was so humble..." Krista recounted what she had heard from her father.
"Awesome! Krista, to be honest, I really didn't expect you to solve it so easily this time. After all, that's TS Group, one of the top 10 enterprises in the City!"
"Yes, Matthias Taber is so powerful and awesome. He once made an enterprise disappear completely. Krista, you have strong backing." A boy gave a thumbs-up.
A boy wearing glasses smiled, "Tell us who your support is. We can also brag to others."
"Matthias Taber may be a tough guy to others. To my father, he's nothing!" Krista was flattered happily, "Wait, I call my dad and ask him!"
The call was on.
"Dad, who did you ask for help?" Krista was also confused. He had cursed her so heavily this morning with all sorts of unpleasant words, which meant that he was completely helpless. Matthias Taber would never let them go.
Or Dad thought of a big shot that he had neglected?
