Chapter 11

"CONGRATULATIONS, Vi!" I exclaimed as she walked into the house, holding a mini cake in my hand.

She was stunned for a moment, but she smiled broadly when she realized what I was doing.

"This is for me? Aww, you are so sweet," she said as she closed the door and hugged me.

Despite hanging out with Aubrey and Nova, I still went home first. Olivia was out with the charmer bullies earlier, and they said they were going to celebrate, so she's a little late.

My parents aren't here, but we don't have a curfew, so that's fine.

"Thank you; are you drunk?" I inquired as I smelled her breath. I don't drink alcohol, but I recognize the aroma.

"Nooo," she said as she drew my hands and walked towards the sofa.

She sat there, and I just did what she did. I placed the cake on the table first because she was clinging to me once more. She has a strong odor of alcohol.

I wasn't against Olivia being friends with the bully, but if this is what they teach her by being friends with them, I need to keep Olivia away from those girls.

"This is the second time you've gotten drunk, and those girls are such a bad influence," I tried to control my rage while saying those words.

"I'm not drunk. We just drank a little to celebrate my success. I'm the president of the SC, Zola. Are you not happy for me?" she asked. She was slurring some words, but I could still understand what she said because she was so close to me.

"I am overjoyed, Vi. More than anyone else, but you can celebrate without getting drunk. Anyway, you are no longer a child, and I know you already know whether or not things are good for you. Go to sleep now; I know you're tired." I conceded.

Olivia has a mind of her own. I can't tell her what she should or should not do. Olivia is a lady of sophistication. She even accepted responsibility for being a cheer captain and the student council president. So I completely trust her because Olivia knows what she is doing. The most important thing is that she arrived home safely.

I just hope that when she first got drunk does not happen again. Anyway, she's a grown-up now.

"No, stay here; I want to eat the cake you made for me."

She sat up straight and opened her mouth even when her eyes were closed as if she was waiting for me to feed her.

Argh. How does Olivia manage to look so adorable in this outfit?

I made the cake myself. Yes, I do bake on occasion. That's my pastime. I asked the on-call maid to teach me how to bake because I was always in the house with her. She gave me some pointers and was a good mentor. She returned to the province before I began high school.

Then Mom Victoria and Olivia arrived, and we realized we didn't need a maid because Olivia and I were trustworthy enough to be left alone in the house. We're already capable of looking after ourselves.

I had placed a spoon and a small plate on the table earlier, so I fed Olivia a spoonful of cake. Her eyes are wide open as she chews them. She was staring at me now, her eyes wide.

"Is it bad or sweet?" I inquired.

"It's so good!"

She snatched the spoon from my grasp and ate the cake as if she were a beggar. Her demeanor made me laugh. She was highly endearing.

She was feeding me with the same spoon as she was eating. Even though we've done it before, such as using the same utensils while eating or drinking, I can still feel that really excited feeling. I want to shut down my mind about the thought, but I adore this indirect kissing gesture!

Argh. I know I shouldn't be thinking about it, but I can't help myself!

She also became playful and applied the cream to my face. I did the same to her. We were now tackling each other on the couch and smearing cream on each other's faces.

I stopped when I sensed she was coming to a halt. I'm not sure if I'm reading her expression correctly. I don't want to make assumptions.

I couldn't bear her stare, so I got up first, but before I could, she drew me closer to her, and I fell above her.

It happened so fast that I didn't know what to do at first. My eyes widened, but I was more surprised that Olivia had no reaction to what had happened. Because as I fell above her, my lips landed on hers.

It was only a few seconds before I realized what was going on, so I tried to get up as soon as possible. However, I'm not sure if that was due to the alcohol because Olivia drew my neck closer and began kissing me on the lips.

My entire being was trembling. It's as if all of my hormones are raging, and they're all happy and kicking in excitement. I know I should have stopped Olivia from doing it because it was wrong. We are technically sisters.

Please accept my apologies, Dad and Mom. But I really like what she's doing.

I closed my eyes and savored the kiss. To be honest, this is my first kiss. Olivia is my first kiss, which makes me very happy. I'm not sure if I was her first, but she kissed me hard, so I'm not sure. I don't want to speculate.

The most important thing is right now. Olivia's lips were so smooth; it was luscious. I can taste the cake she ate earlier and the alcohol she drank. I felt like I was getting drunk as well.

It's amazing. The kiss was breathtaking. I kissed Olivia back. I simply followed what she was doing to me. We were like that for many minutes before I noticed Olivia's lips weren't moving.

So I opened my eyes without moving my lips from hers. Olivia's eyes were closed, and I felt her hand slide down the couch. She nodded off.

I don't know what to do or how to feel at that point. I felt awkward, so I moved away from Olivia quietly and steadily. I sat at the end of the couch, staring at Olivia, who was sleeping soundly. I softly chuckled as I looked at her and touched my lips.

I love what happened, but it's going to be awkward when she wakes up tomorrow. Oh my God, what did we do?

~*~

"I LOVE it here, Coney; can I live here?" Aubrey asked as she sipped her orange juice.

It was the weekend again, and I was with Nova and Aubrey. We're just chilling in the inflatables at their pool. It was a cloudy day. We were extremely fortunate that the sun did not shine directly on us.

We hung out because Dad couldn't get home. Mom Victoria returned home and invited me to a girls' day out, but I declined because I told her it would be better to spend it alone with Vi. I wanted them to get together. Because, ever since Mom Victoria married Dad, there was no time for them to be alone and bond because I was always present.

Mom Victoria didn't agree at first, but I was good at persuading people, so she caved. I have plans with the girls as well.

"No, you can't. If you live here, we'll have to buy groceries every day, and we'll be broke," Nova joked.

I had a good laugh. Aubrey, you're in a lot of trouble.

"I'll just entertain your family; I'll sing until they're sick of hearing me; that's my payment for the food," Aubrey said as she rode along.

"Hmm... I'll think about it if you become famous," Nova said.

"All right, then. That's a deal."

"Deal."

The two exchange handshakes.

I couldn't help but laugh.

"What are you laughing at?" Aubrey inquired as to if what I was doing was a crime.

"You girls are so childish; I'm not sure why I'm even friends with you," I joked.

"Wow, coming from you?" Nova exclaimed.

I didn't notice the two's mischievous smiles at each other until it was too late; they flipped my inflatable, and I was the first to fall in the water. We were wearing bikinis, so it didn't matter. They were laughing at me. My glasses were about to fall into the water, but I grabbed them just in time.

I saw blurry figures, but I wanted vengeance, so I used my long hands and legs. In no time, their inflatable had been flipped, and we were all playing in the water. It was so much fun that I forgot about those pesky thoughts in my head.

I'm having a lot of fun with Nova and Aubrey. I hope Olivia is doing the same.

When you're having fun, time seems to fly by. When I left Nova's house, it was already late in the evening. Aubrey stayed because she wanted to eat at Nova's place.

It wasn't even her first time at Nova's house, but she's acting as if it were. Knowing Aubrey, she just wants to eat. She's a monster eater, but luckily she has a fast metabolism. Congratulations to her.

Nova has actually invited us, but Mom Victoria and Olivia keep texting me that I need to join them for dinner. Olivia even texted that I had been with my friends all day and that mom missed me, which is why I needed to be with them for dinner.

I just smiled. My family is incredibly clingy. I'm not complaining; in fact, I adore it.

I was relieved not to wait for a taxi because Nova had requested that her driver take me to my next destination.

What was my justification for turning down Nova's dinner invitation? Dad had returned home and wanted to go to Ayako's for dinner with me. She bought it with ease. Nova would have fewer questions if the reason was solely about my father. Nova is tenacious. She's just as clingy as the rest of my family, but as my best friend, she understands her limitations. That's one of the reasons I adore her.

I was dropped off at Ayako's by the driver. Mom, Victoria, and Olivia are waiting for us in our usual spot. Room with a Japanese theme. My family enjoys Japanese cuisine, so we chose this location in Ayako's.

When I got to the room, I knocked three times and opened the door. I noticed Mom and Olivia inside right away. Olivia's bright smile sent shivers down my spine. My heart was racing at a breakneck pace.

Please, heart. Stop having this nonsense feel.

I went close to them after closing the door.

"Kon'nichiwa. Konbanwa," I said in Japanese and bowed.

"Konbanwa," they both replied, giggling. I, too, was grinning from ear to ear.

Mom Victoria said, "Suwatte Kudasai." She motioned for everyone to take a seat.

"Arigatogozaimashita," I said, taking a seat beside Olivia. It has become a habit for me. I could have sat near Mom, but I chose to sit beside her. Argh.

"I'm glad you came; I was afraid you were going to abandon us," Olivia said as she hugged me.

Yeah. Olivia acts in the same manner. I was the only one acting strangely now.

Olivia stated that she had no recollection of what happened after they kissed on the couch. She was wondering how she got into her room.

So, that's what happened, folks. Olivia appears to have been highly inebriated, and she simply blacked out. Anyway, I was still relieved that she didn't remember what happened that night because it would have been extremely awkward for both of us. Despite my disappointment, I kept it to myself.

Before I could respond, the waiters arrived and served us the food we had requested. They ordered a lot and appeared to be starving. When they served Sushi and Sashimi, my mouth watered as well. They were my favorites. Plus Tempura, Yakitori, and a bowl of Soba. Oh, Japanese cuisine is divine! I could eat them every day!

"Yum! This is so tasty!" Olivia exclaimed as she ate the Sashimi. She ate it again with her chopsticks.

I didn't realize I was staring at her lips while eating.

It is, Vi. Your lips appear to be tasty. What am I saying?

Thankfully, no one noticed, so I quickly returned my attention to the food in front of us and savored it thoroughly inside my mouth.

Yum!
