Chapter 9
Lyn stopped at the kitchen door when she saw the figure facing the stove. He leaned against the door jamb and watched Nathan cook. Even before that, he was really smarter and better at cooking compared to him. When she is at the man's house, she will inevitably cook for him. Since he almost set fire to their house when he tried to cook it, it has not brought him closer to the kitchen.
He told her that cooking soothes him. It’s fun to think that’s one of those things that hasn’t changed in men. That despite the changes that had happened to him, the one attribute that she liked best to him doesn’t change.
He sneezed. Nathan turned to her and smiled. It was the smile that she had missed for so long. Your smile reaching up to its eyes.
He will admit that there is a part of his heart that is afraid to get close to it again — the fear that the pain he once felt because of the man might come back. But there will be no more cowardly Lyn from now on. Maybe, when she reunites with the man, she will be able to prove to herself that she has really forgotten the look she gave him. Maybe this time she could finally prove to herself that she’s finally okay.
"Let's eat." In the depths of his thinking he did not notice that Nathan had just finished cooking.
He frowned when he noticed the food on the table. Almost all are his favorite foods.
"Your favorites." He smiled at her and handed the chair to her.
He was happy to sit in the chair he was pointing at and turned to the friend who was standing opposite him. "You still remember my favorites…" he said incredulously.
“I remember every little detail about you, Lyn. I have not forgotten. ” Masuyong anito. He saw an emotion through his eyes that immediately disappeared. “Let’s eat!” This is the one who voluntarily put rice and dish on his plate.
This was the first time after so many years that she had eaten a food cooked by someone solely for her. He is used to pure ramen, instant foods or even food at fast food chains and restaurants. It was as if a warm hand was holding his heart because of the simple action Nathan took.
"Where is Vincent?" he asked.
He shrugged his shoulders and frowned slightly. “He doesn't seem to be having dinner anymore. He’s busy facing his laptop. Don’t worry about that guy. ”
Surprised at his attitude, he just nodded. “Oh, okay. In all fairness, you still enjoy cooking, Nathan. I missed it. ”
"Eh me, you did not miss?"
Too much, eh. “Of course I miss you. You still? ”
He saw his face clouded with uncertainty. “Why not d you leave like that, Lyn? ”
He let go of the cutlery he was holding and stared at his hands. He could not look directly at the man because he might see what he was trying to hide here.
