Chapter 7
They boarded a boat that would take them to Haengbok Isle. Lyn was sitting opposite him while Vincent was next to him. He remembered their so-called past. How is the woman? The amount he wants to ask here. As much as he wanted to know about it.
“You are the one who has not changed, Vincent. You are still cute. ”
Vincent smirked. “Of course. I’m the aegyo king, after all. ”
When he saw the astonishment on his friend's face, he entered the conversation between the two. "Aegyo means cute."
It nodded. "How come it doesn't surprise me?"
"Stop being a meanie, Lyn!"
He shifted his gaze to Lyn and Vincent. To this day, he still can't imagine how close the two of them had been seven or seven years ago — that approach that he was so jealous of.
I’m jealous as a best friend, that is.
Again the wind blew him away. He thought he was over this. He thought he’s finally through this. But why was he feeling this certain feeling again?
Damn.
Lyn was blown away when she saw the surroundings. The sun was about to set. Various colors such as red, orange and violet are scattered in the sky. He was amazed at what he saw. Since they left Cebu and settled in the States and returned to the Philippines, he has not had time to watch the sunrise and sunset.
Ever since her heartbreak seven years ago, the warmth she would always felt when she’s watching the sunrise and sunset suddenly disappeared. But right now…
She looked at a man with her. Like him it was also watching the setting sun. He still remembers how they used to be together to watch the sunset.
Maybe, that was one of the reasons why it always pained her to watch the sunrise then. Until now.
He was ready to forget the pain he felt when he loved Nathan. In the first place, it was not a sin then. He crossed the line of their friendship. It did not make him love, it did not make him dependent. He is the reason why he n asaktan. Now, he can face Nathan because his heart has forgotten him for a long time. All that was left was the look he had devoted to it as a friend. Other than that, she could say that it’s all in the past now.
He was caught in the opposite heart as if someone had stepped on it. He just shrugged it off and turned to Nathan with a smile.
If it used to be flat, it has changed a lot now. Lanky was the right term that fitted him. If he is old enough, such figures are popular in Korea — the lanky types. They were everywhere, from models up to dancers. If the man used to be slender, now his body is fit. Not too hard and not the gay-soft-kind. Its hairstyle is the typical Korean hairstyle — long in the back and with bangs.
Looking at him right now, she realized that he changed and hadn’t changed at all. It was as if she’s looking at the old Nathan — the better and much matured Nathan.
When he caught her looking at it he averted his eyes from it. For Pete’s sake! He looks like he's still blushing!
