2. Fake Honeymoon
"Get up!"
Darwin opened the curtains in the room so that sunlight could enter ideally. Meanwhile, Velove, who had previously fallen asleep on the couch, immediately blinked repeatedly. Still wearing her wedding gown, the woman straightened up. It wasn't easy to collect all of his consciousness that was still scattered.
"Hurry packing!" the man ordered then. Darwin still maintained a cold tone.
"Packing?" Velove asked hesitantly. It's still early. Why was he asked to pack? "You want to chase me away?" There was a hint of worry tucked into the words he uttered. She was inwardly guessing whether her husband would expel or divorce her. His father could have had a heart attack if he had been divorced, even though he had not been married for 24 hours.
"Tsk!" Darwin chuckled. Too lazy to talk too much with women in front of him. But, if you explain, it's also more accessible. "We will leave for the airport in an hour," the man answered straightly.
Darwin continued to put on an expression that took a lot of work to predict. Velove thought Darwin would never want to talk to him again after last night's incident.
"Airport?" repeated Velove. "Where are we going?
"Gosh. Don't ask too many questions!" Darwin did not like it. He hates hearing people talk like this. After all, what's so difficult to do what he ordered just now? "Hurry up and pack. I don't like to waste my time waiting for insignificant people like you!"
The man then just walked away. While Velove immediately got up and quickly cleaned himself up, then obeyed his husband's order to pack up directly. From here, she understood a little that Darwin was the typical temperamental man who didn't like being contradicted by his words.
Wearing a t-shirt combined with jeans, Velove slowly walked down the stairs carrying a small suitcase in his right hand. Once he reached the living room, she could see how Darwin seemed to be waiting while talking to someone from behind her cell phone.
Realizing that Velove was ready, Darwin walked calmly towards the available car in the house's courtyard. Both immediately rushed to the airport, preparing to make a long journey.
"Actually, where are we going?"
Entering the departure terminal, Velove dared to ask Darwin once again. She just wondered where the man would take him any minute. He has a right to know, right?
"Honeymoon."
Those two words succeeded in making Velove's forehead immediately furrow deep. This ear can not hear wrong. After last night's incident, is Darwin taking her on a honeymoon? Seriously!
"Don't be confused," Darwin said later. He seemed to be able to read what Velove was thinking now. "I'll make sure you didn't hear wrong. Besides, don't newlywed couples go through what's called a honeymoon?" Darwin said that satire while turning his head. The look in his eyes that was so cynical made Velove even more anxious and shuddered at the same time.
"But..." This time Darwin brought his face closer. The man whispered very softly. "Don't think that this honeymoon will be the same as what happy couples do in general. Don't dream! I will never let you live happily while you're beside me."
Velvet took a deep breath. Trying to convince herself that he would be fine even though Darwin had repeatedly threatened and intimidated her.
Velove, you must be strong. You can get through this all well. You can't even give up.
Those encouraging words Velove kept repeating in her heart. As a consolation, if he can not, give up. He wanted to satisfy his father's request one bit. Whether naive or too innocent, Velove thinks what his father has chosen is the best for him.
Then, during air travel, Velove's time is spent sleeping or daydreaming. While Darwin himself seemed busy reading something, be it work, from behind the tablet he was carrying.
Even so, when they arrived at their destination, Velove didn't say much. She chose to follow Darwin's steps wherever the man took him. They finally arrived at the Edge hotel in the Uluwatu area, Bali.
"Congratulations on the wedding, Mr. Darwin and Mrs. Velove," said one of the hotel staff. He specifically escorted the two of them to the room that had been prepared. "Hopefully you both feel at home while in Bali. If you need anything, you can contact me directly, Keenan as the priority guest guide."
Darwin nodded. When the hotel clerk had left the room, the man immediately grabbed his suitcase—walked out without saying a word leaving his wife just like that. After all, Velove had already suspected that Darwin would not want to live in the same room as him.
Lazy to bother. Velove chose to tidy up her belongings in the closet. After everything was neatly arranged, he then lay down on the bed. Close your eyes for a moment while waiting for dinner time to arrive.

Velove woke up at precisely six in the afternoon when her cell phone suddenly rang. A little lazy, he reached for the bright object. Edge, when she found Deasy's name written on the screen. She quickly got up and accepted the call. She was sure that his friend must be confused waiting for news.
"Veee, where have you been? Just in case the newlyweds suddenly disappeared from circulation."
Velove chuckled softly at Deasy's scolding. Having been friends since childhood, she knew the character of his best friend. How could Deasy not hear voices or chatter from him? Vice versa. Something is missing in their lives if they don't exchange news or stories one day.
"Sorry. I was busy on the road earlier. This also just arrived and I immediately took a break," said Velove.
"Where have you been? Honeymoon?"
"You could say that. I'm in Bali now. And I don't know when I'll be back to Jakarta."
Never mind the return schedule. Only Velove's departure destination will be known after arriving at the airport. After all, he was too lazy to ask Darwin so many questions. The man was too scary and could not be persuaded to compromise.
"Darwin asked you for a honeymoon for real or what?" Deasy asked, a bit doubtful. She knows very well that the marriage her best friend lives in is just a compulsion. This was also what worried him from the start. Deasy was afraid that Darwin would do things that could hurt Velove's heart and feelings. "I don't want you to do anything," continued the woman.
"Just pray for the best, Des. No matter what, now my status is Darwin's wife."
There was a soft sigh from the other side. It wasn't long before Deasy's voice got excited again.
"Okay, then just enjoy your party while in Bali. Don't forget to keep in touch. At least, send a message so I don't think about you being here. If anything happens, don't forget to contact me."
"Don't worry. I'll always give you news."
After receiving a call from Deasy, Velove decided to clean up. After getting dressed neatly, Velove agreed to walk in the afternoon while waiting for the sunset. However, just as he was leaving, he heard a knock on his bedroom door. Keenan was there when it was opened and probably wanted to say something to her.
"Excuse me, Ms. Velove. Sorry for disturbing you. I want to ask, do you want Mrs. Velove's dinner to be enjoyed in your room or directly at the restaurant? Incidentally, the restaurant at our hotel has many interesting spots. There are indoor and outdoor. Even "Ms. Velove can enjoy dinner while watching the sunset simultaneously," explained Keenan. The gentleman's demeanor was so polite that Velove felt very comfortable being served by a man who was probably the same age as Darwin.
"Then, let's just have dinner at the restaurant. At the same time, I want to take a walk first to see the scenery around."
Six nodded. The man prepared to say goodbye.
"Then we will wait for Mrs. Velove to arrive at the restaurant."
After Keenan left, Velove immediately walked around every corner of the hotel. Finally, he decided to sit right by the pool while enjoying the sunset view directly.
How long has Velove been there? He even ordered several heavy and light meals to accompany his late night. Until exactly 9.30, Velove left. He thought he must return to the room now.
However, on the way to the room, Velove's Netra caught the husband's presence. But to her surprise, at that time, Darwin was not alone. The man had walked into a resort room with another woman. The two of them were seen hugging each other tenderly.
Curious, Velove secretly followed until he arrived right in front of the room Darwin had entered earlier. Gathering all his courage, Velove tried to knock on the door. She waited outside for a long time before the door finally opened. A figure of a beautiful woman with minimal clothes was smiling at her.
"Who are you looking for?"
Velove was stunned for a moment. Instead, she had time to admire the figure of a beautiful woman standing right before her. Long hair, smooth white skin, and a proportional body make the woman look like a perfect masterpiece created by God. When she woke up from her reverie, Velove hastily answered the question addressed to her.
"Sorry I disturbed before. If I may ask, is Darwin inside?"
"Darwin?" repeated the woman.
However, before Velove could respond, the figure he was looking for suddenly appeared from behind. Approaching Velove, then threw a look of disapproval.
"What are you doing here?"
