Chapter 9 - Lame

Adrian Nielsen

When I heard loud noises in my kitchen, I know it's none other that Aria, my cursed sister. We're both really similar but also different. People always think that I'm the evil and the cunning one but it's actually Aria.

That explains why she got Chance on the palm of her hands.

"What the fuck?! It's 8 in the morning!" I screamed from my bedroom and I could hear her laughing. I got up from my bed and walked downstairs to see my sister having a glass of wine early in the morning.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I looked at her disbelief as I sat across her.

"I always love this wine.. the 1997." She said as she took the bottle and drinking it straight from the bottle.

"What? You didn't have a good time with Chance?" I sarcasticly asked her and she chuckled.

"He's good in bed, you don't need to worry about it." She said and I rolled my eyes.

"I heard about what happened 4 days ago, you snapped huh?" Yes, Aria knew about ILLICIT. She found out about me being a part of it and Chance too but she doesn't know the rest of the members.

"She reminded me of you huh?"

"Can you just go? I need more rest." I said as I grabbed the bottle of wine from her. She sighed and she looked at the table blankly.

"That what made me comeback here." She said in a sad tone.

"You were drunk, Aria." I said and she nodded.

"That changed me too, it changed me a lot." She was right. Aria changed a lot after that night, I don't know what exactly happened but it seemed like she's traumatized.

Aria was becoming like me but more crazy version of me.

I guess that's why she and Chance got along. That's why they both can screw each other without being worried one of them will fall in love. It seemed my sister hates love too.

"What's her name?"

"What do you want to know?" I hissed.

"I wanna see how fucked up her face is, is it much worse than me?" She joked and I shook my head.

"Just go home.. get drunk at home, I'm not in a mood to take care of you right now." I said and Aria chuckled. She got up from the sofa and walked out.

I walked upstairs to my room and fell asleep right away.

Leah Morris

I walked out from the bathroom when I saw a woman sitting on the chair next to my bed. My eyes widen when I realized it's Aria Nielsen. I was speechless for a second and she got up from the chair walking towards me.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you but I'm Aria Nielsen." She said as she put her hand in front of me. I quickly took her hand and she looked at my face intensely. She's checking out my black eye, bruises on my jaw and the side of my lips.

"I heard about what happened and I came here to check in on you." I'm totally confuse with the situation. Is she a part of ILLICIT?

"Did my brother say anything mean to you?" She asked and I shook my head quickly. I don't want to tell her that even though he did.

"He did, didn't he?" Aria asked and I couldn't find my voice. She grabbed my hand and gestured me to sit on my hospital bed.

"I hope you're healing okay, do you need anything?" She asked.

"I'm okay, Your Highness." I said and she chuckled.

"Just call me Aria, don't need to be formal." She said as she forced me to sit down. I felt uncomfortable because she's the Princess of Denmark and also my boss.. I think. She sat down on the chair beside my hospital bed and she sighed.

"After seeing you, I could see why Adrian was so mad and straight kill them all. I really can't blame him." I looked at her confused and she smiled.

"I was like you once, I was beaten up so badly that I thought I almost died that night. Adrian saved me in time or else I might not be here today." I was speechless. I thought he was just angry and poured his anger on that people.

"Please don't be mad or angry at him for what he did. It's just.. you reminded him of me." She added and I don't know what to say.

"He.. killed people."

"That's ILLICIT, Leah. If they don't kill people, they will get killed. I saw your resume and you were applying to The Gold Lifes too right? The Lemiere? Do you think they never kill people? They kill tons or else they won't be standing tall right now." Aria chuckled and it just blew my mind. It was hard to process.

"I have to go." She said as she looked at her watch.

"I hope you heal well, Leah. Don't hate my brother too much, we'll be seeing each other more in the future." She smiled as she got up. She walked out and still left me speechless.

I guess he has a reason why he's that mad, it's reasonable too. I thought he has anger issues and decided to kill people.. that would be scary.

I walked into the gym and found Chance on treadmill running. I walked towards him and got on the treadmill next to his. I looked at him and he raised his eyebrows. He reduced the speed and took off his airpods.

"What?" He asked as he's trying to breath properly after running.

"You told Aria, didn't you?"

"Of course, I told her. Who else? Dean?" He said in a sarcastic tone.

"If you tell her about whatever happens in ILLICIT, I'll let Dean know about your relationship with Aria." I hissed and Chance laughed.

"I bet he already knows.. we're playing around, Adrian." He smirked.

"She's my sister, not a toy."

"Lame."
