Chapter 4 - Hangout

Adrian Nielsen

It would be a lie if I say that I'm not tired. I've been working non-stop without resting for the past months. I've been trying to make myself not insane from working too hard. My family had been constantly driving me crazy, they really wanted me to settle down and I don't want any of it.

I want to focus on my work.

When I was playing around, they wanted me to get my shit together. Now, when I do get my shit together, they want me to settle down. My parents should be happy that 2 of their childrens already got married, why would they force me into one? They already got the grandkids and why do they want it from me?

"I think you should rest." I turned to Dean who entered my office in the headquarters. What the hell is he doing in London?

"Are you willing to take over my project?" I asked as I leaned back to my seat.

"One and two day rest won't hurt, Adrian." He said as he plopped to the sofa. I just finished going to Paris and Milan this week for some important meeting. I haven't continue working on the new tech project yet.

"Why are you in London?"

"Got a meeting to make a new X-10." I got up from my seat that second and he chuckled.

"Are you kidding me? Why didn't you tell me?" I asked as I walked to him and he pointed at the file that he put on the table in front of the sofa.

"Can you show me the prototype of the M-3?" He said and I nodded. I grabbed the file in front of him and put it on my table. I gestured to him to follow me to the building C where I keep that M-3 prototype.

"How's the new tracker development?" Dean asked as we walked towards the building.

"Recruited new software engineers for it and plans to work on a new system." I said. We entered the building and some employees greeted us. I asked Felix to get all the employees out because we want privacy.

"Why do you need the M-3 prototype?" I asked as I opened the safe to show the prototype to Dean. He took it and he brought it to the smart table to see the detailed description of the M-3.

Me and Dean love working on technology. He's a really smart guy and no one really can beat his brain. He's a doctor but also a creator for weapons. Me, Phoenix and Dean had been designing guns and some other things.

He looked at the M-3 and he plugged his USB showing me the new design for X-10. I turned to Dean disbelief when I saw the new design for the gun.

"Are you planning to give this to Europol?" I asked and Dean shook his head.

"Not this one, this one is different. I will have the prototype for this baby in a month. I'll show it to you once it's done but Imma need this." He said pointing at the M-3.

"Why would you need that? We don't even produce it and you rejected that shit." I said and he nodded.

"I have to go, see you." He patted my shoulder and walked out of the room. I shut the smart table and walked out from the room. I decided to check the new team who is currently working on my new tracking device system.

I walked into the lab and only saw.. Leah Morris. She was sitting in front of the computer when she turned to me.

"Mr. Nielsen." She got up that second and I gave her a nod. I looked around to see a lot of small tracking devices connecting to their computers trying to program it with codes.

"Where's everyone?" I asked and turned to the clock.

"It's lunch time, Mr. Nielsen." She's right and I clearly forgot about it. I think I really need some rest, I lose track of time easily and have been so tired lately too.

"What's your progress?" I asked as I walked towards her table. She sat down and showed me all the codes that she's been working on. I looked at it one by one and found it pretty interesting.

"I'm trying to develop a coordinate for this device. I know that you already have it on the other tracking device but I'm currently working on making an alert to the nearest corp in each European country so it will be easier for us to track and save them." She said and I nodded.

"Good." I said as I walked towards the water dispenser.

"Mr. Nielsen, I have an idea that I told Mr. Edwards yesterday but it seems that he.. didn't listen to me about it." Leah said and I turned my head to her as I filled my cup with cold water.

"Tell me." I said because I'm down with ideas. I'm not the type of person who will think I'm the only smartest person in the room.

"I've been thinking about programming a small thin strip GPS for quite some time now. I saw some of the things that you created before and I wanted to make it as thin as possible. I would be able to program it and use it as a GPS once we activate it. I know it won't last long like other GPS that's more compact but maybe it will.. come in handy in the future." She said as she showed me the design from her iPad.

It was pretty interesting to see her idea. We've been wanting something like this but still never focus on it. I'm glad that we recruited some new and young employees.

"Give me more details about it by next week." I said pointing at her design.

"Okay, Mr. Nielsen." She said.

"Nice job." I said and walked out of the lab. I took my phone out and decided to call my brother.

"Hello, Adrian." I rolled my eyes when he gave me that tone.

"Is the King of Denmark currently on his period?" I asked bluntly and I could hear him cursing under his breath.

"Don't try to pick a fight with me."

"You're such a dick, Leo."

"You really want to die huh?" He hissed.

"I'll be flying to Denmark tomorrow, maybe stay there for a week or maybe more. Let's hangout."
