Chapter 6

By the time the next evening rolled around, I decided to ask Piers what had happened during the few days I'd been traveling.

Waiting to wash up and walk into the bedroom.

All that was seen was him leaning over the bed silently looking at his cell phone.

But there was a faint tenderness in his eyes.

Upon noticing me walk in, Piers snapped his head up and glared at me.

Before, when I came back from a business trip, the two of us would spend the night ear to ear, being mushy as hell.

But now he was looking at me as if I were an enemy.

I couldn't take it anymore, so I asked, "What's wrong with you? You're looking at me like I'm an enemy, did I mess with you? Or are you angry about wanting a child?"

He pursed his lips and quickly avoided my gaze, "It's nothing, I'm just a little busy."

I sneered, held out my hand and said, "Show me your cell phone, what secrets are you hiding that you can't let me in on."

Piers didn't think I'd want his cell phone, he immediately pulled a face, "I have a job, we've been two individuals for so many years, and you don't trust me?"

This atmosphere of lust made me feel even more like something was going on.

It was only a matter of seconds before I raised my hand and started grabbing his cell phone.

While scrambling, the phone accidentally fell on the carpet.

The screen instantly lit up and countless messages fell into my eyes:

"The doctor said that my condition has stabilized and I can be discharged when all the indicators are normal."

"Can you come stay with me again tonight? I'm so scared."

"How about I give you a child when I'm healed? I know your wife doesn't want a child, but I can give you one!"

I felt my whole body stiffen when I saw those messages.

Piers quickly picked his phone back up and looked at me frowning.

I pushed him!

Loudly questioning, "What the hell have you all done?"

"Someone who's all cancerous deserves your rut? How hungry and horny are you?"

Piers blacked out "I just went to the hospital to be with her, we didn't do anything."

I'm even more unconvinced because yesterday he ran away to the hospital to be with that woman.

"What without doing it people are going to have babies for you? Is this a successful dog licking!"
