Chapter 4 Flirty
Onyx's POV
At gym today we partnered up to practice volleyball. You and your partner will take turns hitting the ball trying to hit as high as you can on the wall.
"Alex." I said tapping his shoulder. He turned and his eyes widened. I smiled. "We're partners." I said.
"I don't want..."he trailed off.
"That's not very nice." I said.
"No it's just I wanted to I...."he was playing with his fingers.
"Oh you're not good at volleyball?" I asked and he gulped.
"No, not really."he said.
I smirked. "I can help you." I said and he smiled a crooked smile and my eyes widened.
"Thank you."he said.
"No problem." I said as everyone spreaded out with their partner.
"You can go first,"he said.
"Okay." I said squatting a bit then I had the volley ball in one hand and hit it up on the bottom. It hit the wall but not that high. "Your turn." I said throwing him the ball.
He went in the same position I was. And my eyes trailed down and I bit my lip. I slapped myself.
Don't stare at his ass Onyx! That's just being perverted. You know now to think about it I see dad doing that to daddy all the time. Ew.
"Onyx."he said and my heart started beating fast.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"I need help,"he said.
I smirked and walked up behind him and he yelped.
"This is the only way I can help." I said and he relaxed a bit. I grabbed his hand. "You have to make this hand into a fist." I said and he nodded while looking down. I used my foot to spread his legs more. "And your legs need to be like this." I said.
"Okay."he said looking at me with his face lightly flushed.
He hit the volleyball and it hit the wall almost the lights. "$hit Alexander!"the coach said.
"Sorry." Alex said and I laughed.
"If you let me help you more you wouldn't have done that." I said and he looked away.
"I felt weird. You were way too close."he mumbled.
"Sorry what?" I said. "Couldn't hear you." I said.
"Nothing."he said and stuck his tongue out.
Hmmm. I never felt this wanting feeling.
"I'd put that tongue back in your mouth if I were you." I said.
"Why?"he said and I took a few steps in front of him.
"Who knows what I'll do." I said and he took some steps back.
"Have you heard of personal space."he said with his face lightly flushed.
"Sorry, habit." I said and he rolled his eyes.
"Keep practicing!"the coach yelled.
I got the volleyball and got in position. I felt someone staring. "What?" I said turning my head to see Alex staring at me.
"Nothing."he said looking away quickly.
"What were you looking at?" I asked walking up to him.
"Nothing."he said, shaking his head frantically.
"That's cute." I said smirking and his face heated up more.
"I'm not cute! That's what you say to babies, puppies, and girls."he said.
"I'm sorry I thought it was a compliment." I said shrugging then walking back and went in position. I felt eyes on me again. "Alex if you keep staring at me I'll assume you're staring at my ass." I said and I heard him stutter.
I laughed and hit the volleyball. He was flustered. "I was not staring at your ass."he said snatching the ball from me.
"Well I was." I said winking.
His face turned completely red and I laughed.
At home
"Hi cupcakes!"dad chirped.
"Hey kids,"dad said smiling.
"Hi!"we all said smiling.
"I got to practice the violin." Gail said, running off.
"I need you two to sign something." Taylor said.
"Okay."dad said, taking the paper from him.
"So how was your day Onyx?"daddy asked me while smiling.
"Hmmm I'll tell you later." I said.
"Oooh yay let's go to your room. Taylor, Reed I'll be back."daddy said pulling me up the stairs and into my room. Then he closed the door. "Is it about that boy?"he asked.
"Daddy I don't understand." I said covering my burning face.
"What do you mean?"he asked, ruffling my hair.
"I don't want to fall in love again. And with Alex I do the most embarrassing things. I flirt with him and I can't help it. I don't even know if he likes guys." I said in my pillow.
Daddy took the pillow away from my face. my face and wiping away my tears. "Liking someone and loving someone makes you do crazy things. It makes you change too. Sometimes for the worse and then for the best."he said rubbing my face. "I know Justin hurt you."he said, wiping away more tears. "Use what you learned from your mistakes and use them to help you. All broken hearts still beat. You can't tell your heart you want to like another person or tell it not to like or love when you love or like someone already. Hearts don't work like that."he said hugging me.
"I wish I could." I mumbled.
"Love can break a heart but it can also stitch up a heart and fix it."he said kissing my head.
"I don't want another Justin." I said.
"Not all boys are the same, remember that."he said getting up and letting me go. "If you need anything just yell."he said, opening the door.
"Daddy thank you." I said and he turned and smiled at me and it made me feel better. "You and dad are perfect together." I said.
"You know I hated him at first."he laughed. "And at the same time I liked him."he said.
"That's weird." I said smiling.
"Yeah it was,"he said before leaving.
