Meanwhile, Ashley had just arrived at the villa.

When she opened the door, she saw Hudson, which surprised her.

“Why are you here?”

Hudson smiled and said gently, “It’s been a while. I have an announcement in Bridenville, so I came to stay for a night. I didn’t know you were coming. I’ll leave later if it troubles you.”

Before marrying Leonard, Ashley used to be a behind-the-scenes agent for a while. Hudson was one of her artists, and he was also the one who worked the hardest.

Ashley admired Hudson a lot, and the two were friends apart from their business relationships. Though he wasn’t her artist later, Ashley found him a top agent in the industry, and he became more and more famous in recent years.

Knowing that Hudson's family was going through a difficult time, Ashley gave him the key to the villa and told him he could come and stay at any time.

Then Ashley married Leonard and focused entirely on fixing Leonard's legs, so she gradually forgot about this.

“It’s fine. It’s getting late, and your face attracts everyone’s attention when walking on the street. Staying in a hotel won’t do you good. Leave tomorrow.”

Seeing Ashley going upstairs with her luggage, Hudson walked over to her and said, “Let me help you.”

“It’s fine. It’s not heavy at all.”

“Are you going to move in here?”

There was a hint of caution in his tone, but Ashley did not notice it. She nodded. “Yes. So, it may not be convenient for you to come and stay from now on.”

“I see. I am already grateful to you for letting me live here all these years for free.”

Seeing his serious face, Ashley could not help but smile and say, “You are now the best actor. I’m sure you can afford ten villas like this.”

Hudson smiled. He had already bought the villa next to hers, but he liked it here, because she had once lived here.

“You want coffee? I’m making some.”

“Sure. But I’m going to go up and take a shower before that.”

“OK.”

After helping Ashley carry her luggage upstairs, Hudson smiled and went back to the kitchen to grind the coffee beans.

No sooner had he made the coffee than the doorbell rang.

He went to the door, looked through the peephole, and was surprised at once.

It was Leonard, the CEO of the Anderson Group!

Leonard's face was frequently in the financial magazines these days, so Hudson recognized him at once. Moreover, Hudson recently had a movie financed by the Anderson Group.

Hudson thought, “How come Leonard is here?

“Is he here for Ashley?

“Yet I don’t think their paths will cross.”

While Hudson was lost in thought, Leonard at the door had lost his patience and rang the doorbell several times more.

Finally, the door opened.

However, the one who opened the door was not Ashley, but a man Leonard had not seen. Leonard figured that this man should be Hudson, the trending best actor Noah had mentioned.

There was a cold look in Leonard's eyes, and he could hardly suppress his anger. “Where’s Ashley?”

Sensing Leonard's hostility, Hector frowned. “She is taking a shower. Mr. Anderson, what do you want with her?”

Leonard sneered.

He said word by word coldly, “I’m her husband. What do you think I want?”
